You should do a vlog of only reading 5 star predictions since you have only had two this year! Then you can actually get to books that you are highly interested in!
That is so frustrating about the doctor not being willing to diagnose you based on such a ridiculous criteria. I have PCOS, and I got really lucky to stumble across a doctor that was willing to go the extra mile to figure out what was going on, and even that was only because I had self-diagnosed myself and knew what to ask for. But I have heard so many horror stories of the healthcare system failing women, especially when it comes to reproductive/hormonal issues. It is so outrageous that we're still dealing with this bs in 2024.
Youre part of the very few booktubers who's vlogs i never grow tired of ! Could watch hours and hours of them ❤
Baking with Becca🍰
Hmmm the synopsis for DIE sounds like Jumanji! also, the cheesecake looks amazing!
I loved the PLL series when I was in my early 20s lol and I re read them later in life but it's very entertaining and never boring 😅
Literally get so excited watching your vlog and longer the vlog....longer I can journal😍😍 and really love it❤
Hmm that is interesting because I got off the pill last year and before that I said I would never read romance but now I’m falling into reading it and loving it. Didnt think about it being that but maybe haha
I love that orange sweater on you 😍
You nearly gave me a heart attack when you removed the Nowhere Child's dust jacket. Here in the states, library dust jackets are taped on to the book, so since I grew up reading mostly library books and paperbacks, when I first owned a hardcover, I didn't take the jacket off to read it. Now I do because now I see the wisdom of not getting the jacket damaged. lol. Weird tangent, I know. As always I love your long vlogs the most. ❤
As someone who does the wrapping of my libraries books , I get not wanting to feel/hear the crinkle of the covers. I love her cover for it!
Surprisingly, this is pretty common. My issue is when people do it and just have the library book naked! Damage to the hardback is harder to repair and, depending on the damage (like liquid), will lead to it going from easily wiped off or recovered, to needing to be replaced due to potential mold growth.
Having watched the wrap up before the vlog, 50:31 reaction is so funny 😂😂😂
Loved all the lifestyle content as well as the books for this vlog ❤
AN HOUR LONG VLOG WHAT A GREAT DAY!!!
I'm so glad you loved Die! I personally liked the second volume more than the first so hopefully you enjoy the whole series
I didn’t catch the authors name and I’m really excited to look into this one.
@@Spookysavannah33 Kieron Gillen and Stephanie Hans
Great to see you back in another vlog x
Queen takes rose was bloody awful, it links to the series where the first book is Abel. I think this will eventually be like a Seven Brides for Seven Brothers retelling if you know old musicals.
I do like the Neon God series, this series I think is much better and does have more plot and it isn’t all about the saucy bits.
Loved This Vlog! Die sounds like the newer Jumanji movies but obviously a whole different game and more dangerous and I now want to read them lol and strawberry cheesecake is one not only my favourite but two i love baking cheesecakes. Oooo you just opened the biggest can of worms with PPL....
I'm so sorry you had to through that with the doctor; it's horrible when they won't take women and their pain seriously. Glad the pills you have now are helping! I read Faebound in February, and I think I gave it a high 3; I was really interested in the world-building, but the main romance drove me insane because it was WAY too fast given the history between the two people. Still gonna continue the series, though, and also read The Final Strife. (I bought Faebound just because you recommended the author)
Ooh I want to read that Die series in a novel format haha
Okay my brain just clicked as to why I now love romance when I didn't really before. I came off the pill almost a year ago now and you have literally just blown my mind into realizing thats when I started enjoying romance and smut more
Came here for the books..... and now so happy there is someone else who plays DBD
I’ve heard such good things about Faebound!
It's so good!!
I've been there with the burst blood vessels its not fun. On the plus side yours is hidden. I burst 90% if mine so it looked like i tattooed the whites of my eye for 6 months lol Love the vlogs as always, they are a highlight of my day when they pop up in my sub box.
Your baking looked soo good! Since the hype for Faebound is settling down I have been hearing alot of meh reviews, like it seems okay but not as good as it was first hyped to be
Where did you get the picture of Rhysand that’s behind your couch? I love it!
I blew a capillary in my from hiccups. Worst Christmas eve ever 🤣
God I need to pick up Faebound
❤❤❤
I have broken blood vessels in my eyes before because of coughing. They always look worse before they get better. Embrace the zombie look! 😂
Love the vlog. What workout app were you using.? Was that the Pelaton app?
Yep! I’m a Peloton groupie 😂
I have PCOS and am on the pill partly to manage the symptoms associated with that so I perfectly understand hormone troubles lol. For me, as a queer person, I tend to not really like straight romances as they often lean far too much into gender essentialism etc and I honestly find that very boring, personally. But then I don't like Japanese queer media on the whole for the exact same reason.
Admittedly, I'm not a fan of pure erotica, but I do tend to prefer my romances to have at least one smutty scene provided there is good build up.
I also have PMDD but over here in Spain getting a diagnosis is almost impossible 💔 Sorry you also have to put up with this sh*t!
from where is the picture of the man with the blanket in your background?
I can totally relate to your take on romance/smut. As a genderfluid and demisexual person, I find straight smut to be overhyped and boring especially when written by a straight person. As as someone with “female” anatomy, the focus being so often on p in v is just not interesting for me 😅😂
That's TMI, but on my antidepressants and pill my libido is non existent, and I've discovered I like sex scenes decidedly less than some time ago.
What's the spinner wheel app?
from where is the picture of the man with the blanket in your background? 1:02:14
I think that is a picture of Rhysand’s nightmare that can be found on Redbubble, but I could be mistaken.
I did several different things to try and cope with my PMDD before we decided to just remove most of the system. I still have my ovaries but the rest is gone. There is still a week every month where I'm not the most pleasant person but the relief of not having the extremes of it was a relief. But I'm older than you and was done having kids and I don't know your situation since I'm new to your channel so not recommending it or anything! But since my hysterectomy my interest in romance and any smut of any kind has rapidly dwindled. I almost can't enjoy a book with even minimal smut anymore. PMDD is exhausting and debilitating no matter whether you can function every day or not and your doctor is... ridiculous.
the pill.... destroying our lives and not trully solving the root of our problems 😅 just a poorly put band-aid to a wound that needed actually stiching 😔 sorry to hear you're going through that
I love the pill. No more periods for me! Plus the scurge that is children lol.
But I agree, it's like shooting into a bulletproof vest, rather than unloading the gun
Becca have the doctors tested your thyroid levels hun? Because I have an overactive thyroid and alot of the symptoms you're describing sound very familiar. And it can literally knock you on Ur butt especially during pms.
I found Faebound wildly predictable, and the practically instalove in the sapphic relationship was disappointing. I won't be continuing the series
I concur with the instalove- was one of the things that drove me mad. World building was good but character development was lacking a bit too much
Thanks for the warning about animal death in Faebound -- looks like I'll be giving that one a hard pass.
