They can take this 20K trailer and license it to be a 14K trailer. You still have the capacity of a 20K for off road use but can still legally haul 14K on road.

Seems you’d want a heavier duty drop jack. 7k on a 20k trailer can’t sustain whats in the dump trailer should you decide to unhook while loaded. And shouldn’t this be 18k dump trailer with 2 9k axles???
Great question! The 7K drop leg jack on this trailer has plenty of capacity to handle the tongue weight of the trailer even when loaded to its full GVWR. As far as the 20K pound GVWR, although the axles are the biggest consideration when calculating the GVWR of the trailer, other components such as hangers, leaf springs, and tires and wheels also play a role in this calculation.

This trailer is great for my 2500. Do not need to put gooseneck hitch, newer trucks alot taller. So bumper pull won't be an issue.
