A battle quote I had in this part of the game: Reyn: "You can't have a rainbow without Reyn baby!" Melia: "Dunban, I think you need to have a talk with Reyn." Dunban: "No. I think we should pretend it didn't happen."
I feel inspired to pick up the game again... you are in the exact section of the story that I previously left my New Game+ file on. I fell off a cliff just before where the Telethia is resting and respawned back at Frontier Village. Took some time off after that LOL.
Yeah as far as the rumor you talked about with that quest and between Reyn Sharla and Melia, I have yet to see any proof as well so I think someone was throwing you for a loop. But other than that I do agree with you on how awesome and heart warming these quests are. I honestly have a blast doing them and seeing my decisions make such an impact… soemthing I wish 2 did and from the sound of it 3 is going to do which is awesome in my opinion.
Also, I was hoping you'd make a Professor Layton reference with a character named EMMY Leater, but oh well, maybe later...Maybe you can make that joke LEATER. I swear your punification is contagious.
Chuggaconroy, just something I noticed here but you seem to like having melia being not in the lead lead in combat, even though her ai is terrible. Just thought you might want to know
Speaking of the European English, it seems they've chosen different dialects for the different regions, and I think that's a nice touch. Reyn and Shulk are more rural, at first that was just kind of funny, but then Melia has a refined British. Good design choice.
Have you played Dragon Quest 8? The voice acting is REALLY well done! One of the guys in your party, Yangus, has this really southern british accent like: U WOT MATE? I 'AINT GOT 'NOFIN TO DO WIF THIS! While other npc's have a really posh stuck up accent, It's HILARIOUS!
fenojack I wouldn't call Yangus's accent southern, it's more Cockney really. Southern is actually a bit more... refined than northern English. Still not as 'posh' as London though, I guess (I happen to be British myself, actually, so that might help with distinguishing accents... xD). It's also funny you should mention Dragon Quest 8, some of the voice actors in that game voice this game too. Alvis shares the same actor as Angelo for example. Anyways, good to know that someone else who likes that game, it's one of my all time favourites. :)
***** Yeah I'm not british and I didn't really research the accents either so I was probably wrong :p P.S I still want to kick the shit out of prince charmless XD
26:57 So after using the poison tipped nopon sword, Emmy Leater passes the test but loses everyone's respect and disappears after seeming really depressed. Reyn's response? "OH YEAH! THAT'S WHAT I'M TALKIN' ABOUT!"
While we're on a quest episode, here's a dumb little rant no one will care about: As much as I love this game so far, a lot of the side quests are really obnoxious. Like..."Take this item to that guy standing right there in front of me. Okay, now bring me an item from him." "I was tasked with killing a monster by my boss but it's too scary, so can you do it for me and let me take credit so I can keep my job fighting monsters that are too scary?" "I want to ask a girl out, can you ask her out for me? She said yes? Great, now tell her when I'll meet her later!" These NPC's are driving me nuts! I find myself just finishing quests to get the rewards and experience. Aren't we supposed to WANT to help these characters? I just want to walk away from many of them. Don't get me started on the bossy ones with attitudes. "Oh, random stranger. Hurry up and go do this for me! Why are you still here? Chop chop!" The worst so far was a little Nopon in Frontier village. He asks you to go kill the orlugas because they did not let him draw on them! Little brat.
LOL the way you put that... that's the funniest thing i've heard someone say about this game. I remember that pompous Nopon quest too. i never minded stuff like that when I played it though. plus you don't have to do the quests as soon as you get them like Chugga is doing, you can do 'em when you feel like it and even complete some accidentally
FireKirby7 Yeah, I'm pretty much just completing the quests that look like they will have good rewards now. I've completed a few that just seemed really easy, too.
I'm rewatching this year's later, and I finally figured out the answer to how Jan knew about makna. The defense force must have HAD to travel that way to get to the sword of the mechonis during the battle of sword valley. I think the homs just don't go out that far anymore, and none of the young ones (-18 as we saw know reyn was still training when the battle happened) would know of how to get there. Dunban probably knows the way to the sword, but not to eryth sea (the sword in is in the side so I'm pretty sure there are more ways to get there than from valic mountain). The quadwing he had you fight WOULD be a challenge to him, seeing as the highest level dunban was when he fought at sword valley was 20. A level 34 would have proven a test in the year prior if that was their highest level.
Hey dad quick question are you ever going to show how broken Rikis Happy happy art is? Because if you use it correctly you can fill up the gage in mere seconds in chain attacks.
it's really funny how homs aren't really aware of Makna forest or don't really travel there at all but to reach sword valley where there was supposed to be the last defence line of Colony six and a great battle, the only way to reach Sword valley is by going trough Makna Forrest and Satorl March trough the Bionis...yeah right
This is insanely late, but you’re absolutely wrong. They are just traveling through Makna to reach Prison Island, not to reach Sword Valley, that one is much closer to Colony 6.
@@clintwaki6936 flying machines were shown to be used to get from sword valley directly to colony 9 for medical evac logically during a war direct land routes aren't the only way to get somewhere
When Kenny Rohan told me there was no such thing as a Firefly Fish and that I shouldn't believe everything I hear I actually shouted at the screen, "WE'RE ON THE CORPSE OF A 4 MILE TALL TITAN!! WHAT AM I SUPPOSED TO BELIEVE?!!". Seriously, you can't just throw a Faith vs. Progress side-quest in and be a prick about it, jeez. I wanted to see the Firefly Fish!
I feel the need to express my thanks to you, Chugga. A few years back I started playing Xenoblade and I'll admit I didn't level nearly as much as I should have. Because of this, I got my butt handed to me by the giant spider when you have to save Reyn several times and eventually got fed-up with the game and decided I no longer wished to play it. So imagine my surprise when after watching a few of your LPs, I stumble onto this one. I figured id view a few eps and see just what occurs after you beat said giant spider... now, 28 episodes in, watching this LP has got me really excited to erase my old file and try again using this as a guide. So yeah, thanks, I have a game that'll take a while to beat that I haven't played before... much. I look forward to playing once again. ~Akai
This may be a long comment, but bear with me. I have to say, this game is really quite something. Currently as I'm writing this, I'm around 100 hours in (and still not done with even the main story!) and loving it! I picked this game up around the time of final exams, so I didn't have time to play it. When I saw that you uploaded your first video, I made sure to not watch it and sit down and play this game. Needless to say, it's one of the best decisions I've made in a long time! I haven't been this obsessed with a game for a long time, and your LP is really adding to that enjoyment. I get you haven't finished it yet, but even right now I say it was worth the eighteen months! I've wanted to make let's plays for a while now, and while this is inspiration, it's also discouraging because I watch just one video of it and think, "There's no way I can compete with this!" You're videos are proof that let's plays can be more than just simply over-dramatic face-cams over horror games. You have shown that they can be high-quality productions presenting a new experience to those who haven't played the game being played, and offer a new experience for those who have played the game multiple times. Because of that, I say thank you. I think I can speak for a lot of people when I say these videos are great, so keep on making them! You bring forth so much energy, and put so much blood, sweat, and tears into every video you make. Continue to do what you do, as people truly do appreciate it. Wow that was long, but it's the truth. So keep rocking on Mr. Conroy!
'Canon'. Canon is accepted writing. Cannons are ballistic weapons. The difference is immense...unless the developers intended Sharla stuffing Reyn into her gun and firing him towards the Bionis head to be how the game should've gone. If that's how this goes, I retract my corrections, and approve that turn of events.
"There are accents on a lot of the characters" Welcome to how the rest of the world feels about American voice actors in everything haha. Very late to the party, but I'm falling in love with this game because of this Let's Play Chuggaa :)
Right you have a guy that likes staring at the sky and they want to make him a painter. Don't they have a dozen vacancies in Air defence right now? Why wasn't he in the plateau above the valley watching the sky for mecon? Nice review sir. Clearly the Homs have no strategic grasp.
i love how when rikki is idle during conversations he just dances around like crazy and its hilarious especially because he's a nopon and all the nopon are all derpy and funny most of the time (i say MOST of the time sometimes they can be really serious and creepy)
While also doing Emmy Leater's quests with your same party (Reyn, Dunban, and Riki), Dunban commented to Reyn saying, "Reyn, it helps to look someone in the eyes when you're talking to them." Caught me off guard, haha! Reyn must've had his attention a little lower when talking to Emmy.
Shulk reminds me of Sora from Kingdom Hearts. Both have a sword (Shulk: the Monado, Sora: the Keyblade), both want to unlock the power of their sword, both have two friends they really care about (Shulk: Reyn and Fiora, Sora: Riku and Kairi), both of their swords have awesome attacks and magical powers, Shulk's running animation reminds me of Sora's, both can have only two partners in their party at once, and the Monado chose Shulk, just like the Keyblade chose Sora. Who agrees with this comparison?
also, the monado is the only weapon that can hurt mechon, and the keyblade is the only weapon that takes the hearts from heartless to kingdom hearts, but there are many wielders other than sora that each have a different keyblade, there's only one monado
Keyblade only chose sora for Ventus' heart inside of him..... There are many keyblade bearers most of them died but the three friends have their keyblades. 1 by accident. 1 by purpose and one a mistake.
Chugga's decision for the "Out Like a Light?" quest is the only one that's different to what I judge as the 'best' choice so far and use in my playthroughs, although it's also one that doesn't affect the affinity chart. My judgement just tells me that people can always get the drive to move on with their lives, but you need something to look forward to in order to get that encouragement, so mending the lamp is a good idea.
I don't have much to say this episode, since it was all side-quests. I really don't get why Chugga constantly compares the group to the defense force. The wielder of the Monado, some really tough military members including a Beast, a High Entia magician, and the Heropon certainly compare to a random soldier or two. Also keep in mind, by the time Chugga did this quest, he's made it to Makna, where stronger equipment and enemies are found. Also, level 11 enemies weren't that easy when the group was only level 11.
shamis mohamed It's sort of dramatic irony, in that the in-game party doesn't know, but we've seen her with wings in a previous cutscene, and the Nopon certainly also have (calling her Bird Lady). While it wasn't explicitly stated, we "know" by now.
shamis mohamed She talks about 'my people' in front of the party and refers to the Homs as if she isn't one. The Nopon also call her bird lady while calling the rest of the party "Hom homs". You're supposed to realize she's high entia almost immediately, but like MadameBerry said, dramatic irony. In the story the only reason the party doesn't realize it is because: 1) She looks like a homs. 2) They're still accustomed to the idea of the High Entia as a myth, so they forget that more than the Nopon and Homs exist on Bionis.
shamis mohamed I really disagree on it being a spoiler. It is obvious the very moment you see her. She dresses completely different to a Homs, wields powerful magic no Hom is capable of using, and no other Colonies exist on Bionis. So that the characters haven't figured it out, including the whole "my people" talk, I'm surprised they know Riki is a Nopon. Other clues, which, if you insist, is spoilery to who Melia is: Shulk's Vision of facing off against Metal Face, the one he mentions to Melia. Melia says "father" and Shulk says Metal Face caused grief to the "Emperor" and Fiora. Emperor? The Homs and Nopon both don't have this, and no other peoples have been introduced into the story. Melia's father looks very regal, she is in distress when she calls for him it sounds, and her guards addressed her as "Lady". From that cutscene alone, you can establish not only is Melia an Entia, she is the Emperor's Daughter. Also, I don't quite recall, but don't the statues in the Marsh have wings? Just like Bird Lady Melia. The game "spoils" her identity far before the party finds out.
MadameBerry There's also the bunch of other things I mentioned in my other comment. There is so much saying she is an Entia, that it is almost obvious. I'm surprised I never noticed this. A bunch of times I hate that the game spoils major plot twists hours before the party finds out, but I somehow didn't even realize they spoil Melia's identity before you even see her in the Telethia cutscene.
I just encountered some of the later generic Mechon types in my playthrough. I like to think the enemy namer/whoever named them in canon was having a really bad day when he came up with things like MOIST-class and WORST-class Mechon.
actually, now that i think of it, reyn, dunban and shulk are all part of the colony 9 defence force, and as a captain emmy outranks them. she can totally tell them to do all these things. the characters ranks are never specified, but i'm betting she at least outranks shulk and reyn. dunban, maybe not, but he'd help her anyway. so this isn't really out of line.
SaiyanSuperSonic yes, that definitely outranks a captain. but as i said, dunban would help anyway. he could be the commander of the armed forces, and would still take time out of his day to wander around and see if anyone wants him to grab them a drink from the store.
The Young Captain quest line is really interesting. I have chosen both options in separate playthroughs, but I prefer getting the Carbo Shield as well. For some reason I always had trouble finding Jan for The Old Soldier's Test quest. Every guide I looked at had slightly different information that tipped me off.
This is making me a bit nervous now... I skipped those quests on my first run. I'm on my second run now, and I gave her the sword. Well, we'll see what happens.
The Wiki for that quest seems to give a good list of prerequisites for it that involves talking to different people, including Dionysis multiple times.
Jan is actually pretty easy to find. Skip travel to the military district during the day and turn right. He’s right next to the fence where you can see recruits doing push-ups
I find it funny how emile said the actors were from a widely european talent pool, when I have yet to hear a single accent that isn't british. Is it just an american thing, are you guys surprised that some of the accents in this are still british?
I like how this Xenoblade has so many more sidequests than Xenoblade 2. Also, the affinity chart makes people in each locale seem much more connected than Xenoblade 2.
David Neligan To be honest, I like the way both Xenoblade X and 2 handled sidequests compared to this game. Especially X. I felt that those games had more interesting quests.
***** LAWL. WHO PLAYS VIDEOS ON UTUBE NOT ON 4K, OR EVEN HD? HAHAHA. Seriously, though, I'm actually a little jealous of people who can do that. My internet connection _sucks_.
For the quest from Kenny Rohan (Out with the light), I normally talk to Arnaut, get some iron krabble, have him fix it and give it to Kenny. I do that all the time as I believe that it's best.
5:40 - At least I can accuse them of exclusively casting the Brit as a the bad guy as that's what most (if not all) of the voice cast is. 18:43 - Riki talking blitzball (!) 24:25 - Perhaps he heard about it from the Nopon.
If Shulk is like 18 yrs. old and the Manado Expedition was 14 yrs. ago and Shulk went on The Manado Expedition, then he went when he was........4 yrs. old!!
I love that riki gets affinity with Makna forest any time he defeats a creature in the forest. It's because he is the heropon, and the village hates him at the moment, but the more he helps, the more he is liked. Awesome detail
Just beaten the game, and I fully enjoyed it! .... Though I did missed some good quests/messed up some of the quests. And there are plenty of things that I could do now.
Jacob H I generally love to fight monsters on my level. But to me, killing all the weak monsters with NG+ doesn't feel all that fun until I get to the higher level monsters. I'm currently on my old files and gettings some good stuff before making a NG+.
I love how before you started this LP, I didn't believe you when you said Xenobalde was the best game of all time to you. And now I love this game so much that I just can't wait for your parts to come out. I've already played a few chapters past where this video is while still doing all the side-quests... ...Damn it Chuggaa, you've made me an addict.
Now I'm curious as to why Chugga chose to give her the Shield instead of the sword. Not going to give spoilers, but I recently did all the sword quests myself, and it seemed like a pretty good ending with her completing her test. I guess the gem's different for both so..
The voices are one of the reasons why Xenoblade always stuck out to me as a game. As someone who has lived in England my entire life, I never hear British accents in most video games. Or even most media. Outside of the rare character. While friends of mine in America have always said that the voices sound weird to them, they just sound natural for me and it's so nice to be able to hear accents other than the BBC English you tend to hear everywhere.
19:09-19:14 Lol. Tbh, I want to see how he would respond to each individual character telling him that. If he's open-minded, his response might not vary that much. If he's closed-minded, his response to Reyn saying that could be funny. Jackson: O.O Um...please don't squish me.
24:25 What about Alvis? He was first shown on a cliff near the Colony 6 Ether Mines and was met for the first time in the Makina Forest meaning that he would have had to either travel through the High Entia Ruins as well or fly on a Telethia.
***** What if his smash is a seven party member chain attack, where everyone comes in and they each do their talent art? Wouldn't that just be amazing?
Actually, I think it makes perfect sense that the Homs would know about Makna Forest: Dunban comments on it being the home of the Nopon when they first arrive there, so it and its connection to the Nopon are known at least to him. We know that Colony 9 and 6 both participated in the battle of Sword Valley, which (minor geographical spoilers) can only be accessed through a certain area which is in turn only accessible through Makna. Plus, the Nopon merchants seem to be based in Frontier Village and they would need to have trade with the Homs colonies. So it can safely be assumed that Makna, even if not traveled to regularly, is known of. Following that, it seems reasonable that Jan, as an old soldier, would have seen and experienced more than the average person and might know more about Makna than the next Homs.
The fact that Emmy blames your character for her failure is ridiculous. It had better be worth participating in that no-win scenario. seriously, that is friggin' stupid.
The story of Xenoblade’s localization struggle makes me grin, considering that it now has a port to the 3DS, a release on the WiiU Virtual Console, a spinoff on the WiiU, a sequel on the Switch, a prequel to that sequel, AND an upcoming remake
Then what DO you call it? It’s not a spiritual successor because it’s still a Xenoblade game, it’s not a remake because it’s got completely different characters plot and world, and it’s not a sequel because we have an actual storyline sequel
Okay, so Chugga isn't showing all the routes of branching quests. That's probably a good thing since it would bake this LP even more insane. I actually went with the Claymore route here. I just want to point out that if you do that, the jerkass colonel she fights gets the payback he deserves in a later quest, in fact you actually prove HE was cheating too. There aren't many of these "both options end badly" quests in this game, but gererally it's either this, "both options are good" or "both options are just neutural". Never is any one choice presented as better or worse than another. This is why a lot of people feel this game does moral choice much better than games with explicit "karma meters". Most of those games either: -Have one choice obviously much worse than the other, so rather than making the player think they just make the player go "oops, I'll just reaload and pick the 'right' option" -Ruin the player's immersion by making the choice all about gameplay benefits rather than actual morality. (e.g. "I pick this choice because I need more Evil Points to use that super awesome attack I want") [Xenoblade kind of has some of this, but as Chugga said the differences in rewards is usually minimal anyway) -Have choices too black-and-white, or, to quote Yahtzee, "Mother Teresa vs Baby Eater" Most real-life choices don't come down to things like that, Xenoblade's sidequests are much more true to reality. The player makes the choice they personally feel is right, and aren't punished for their choice.
Coming back to this while playing along, I just did the Emmy Leater quest line and the first time I chose the shield because I thought I had to get both, gave it to her and got the negative reaction to her losing so I thought that with the sword she’d win, reset to about 20 minutes before and did the sword only to find out that was negative and that the shield was a better option for overall affinity, then reset a second time to do the shield again
About the "A Mysterious Light" quest... I always had taken the route where you fixed the lamp and let people see it. Sure, people won't forced to move on from their distracting comfort of seeing that lamp, but think about it this way; Sesame said that people are all dark and gloomy and have nothing happy to talk about anymore. Why not give them yet another thing to gather and hold conversations over? It is just going outside at night to look at a lamp, so what's the harm? Plus if it gets noticeably bad, Rohan could just gather the lamp and tell everyone, which is better than just having it mysteriously disappear; they'll really be able to move on, instead of being left to wonder about that light, or speculate like Dionysis. Also I liked getting the Claymore for Leater, not because it's the better idea, but i found the thing it affects later to be more interesting than the Shield's option. Plus the Claymore doesn't kill anyone (even if it does cause pain), so it's not like you'll lose an NPC on the affinity chart. Though that's just me. Oh and yeah, the Old Soldier's Test is so weird. You can lock yourself out of it, but not by progressing too far or doing another quest like most quests that you can lock yourself out of (hence the lack of a clock). It's just....answer the wrong thing to Dionysis, and you're locked out of it. I don't think there's a SINGLE other quest like that in the game. So weird.
OK NEWS FLASH for people CONSTANTLY BITCHING about sidequests. They are necessary for story progression because they give a shit ton of exp and Boss fights in this game are hard as balls so stfu already or stop watching the LP simple as that.
27:17 When Emmy passes the test and nobody trusts her anymore, right after that Reyn gets his reward and he's like "OH YEAH!" like he doesn't care in the least! Harsh man! I don't know why but I found that quite funny.
Since there's some Nopon in Colony 9, it's possible that Jan overheard some gossip about the creature in Makna Forest. Also, Dickson might not have been alone when he traveled to Makna Forest.
I head this game is 70+ hours long. I've had the game for over a year now and never played it. I wish I had time to play this game. I always get turned off by how long it is. >_< lol
To be fair, the legendary hero Dunban, the Hero of the Homs and probably regarded the strongest at the time, the man who destroyed hundreds of mechon was level 21. Is it to far to say that maybe every normal character may not be even close to that level?
A battle quote I had in this part of the game:
Reyn: "You can't have a rainbow without Reyn baby!"
Melia: "Dunban, I think you need to have a talk with Reyn."
Dunban: "No. I think we should pretend it didn't happen."
I feel inspired to pick up the game again... you are in the exact section of the story that I previously left my New Game+ file on. I fell off a cliff just before where the Telethia is resting and respawned back at Frontier Village. Took some time off after that LOL.
Awesome! Was able to catch up on 2 days worth of videos! Thanks chuggaa, for doing this Thursday and Monday thing!
Hey there, it's aStupidGecko. Back with another day of "Shulk will be in the next Smash game"
How ya doing?
And, it's next smash game, not nest :)
Stop being a stupid gecko. Be a smart gecko, like me.
What is Shulk isn't a character, but an Assist Trophy?

You were close on Ryne's age.
He's 18 and your right on Shulk's age (18).
I keep finding myself staring at Riki's little idle dance whenever Chugga's speaking with NPCs and it's adorable.
Riki is the comedy relief character.
And I keep staring at Sharla's boob jiggle physics whenever she stretches.... and at Riki's dance.
Your profile picture.
perfect.
Speaking of the European English, it seems they've chosen different dialects for the different regions, and I think that's a nice touch. Reyn and Shulk are more rural, at first that was just kind of funny, but then Melia has a refined British. Good design choice.

26:57 So after using the poison tipped nopon sword, Emmy Leater passes the test but loses everyone's respect and disappears after seeming really depressed. Reyn's response?
"OH YEAH! THAT'S WHAT I'M TALKIN' ABOUT!"

While we're on a quest episode, here's a dumb little rant no one will care about:
As much as I love this game so far, a lot of the side quests are really obnoxious. Chop chop!"
The worst so far was a little Nopon in Frontier village.
Sometimes it's worth shedding blood in the name of art.
Well, yeah, talent arts, duh.
Xenoblade best JRPG of the previous gen?
It's my personal favorite RPG of all time.
Yes.
Persona 3 FES for ps2 and ps3
Daniel Velazco Persona 3 doesn't count. It was PS2 originally.
Nope. It is the best JRPG of all time.
Hey dad quick question are you ever going to show how broken Rikis Happy happy art is? Because if you use it correctly you can fill up the gage in mere seconds in chain attacks.
Wtf?
That's broken
"Dad?"
Look at his name
it's really funny how homs aren't really aware of Makna forest or don't really travel there at all but to reach sword valley where there was supposed to be the last defence line of Colony six and a great battle, the only way to reach Sword valley is by going trough Makna Forrest and Satorl March trough the Bionis...yeah right
Flying machines???
yup flying machines are confirmed, they are out of order though, cause only Colony 6 had them
This is insanely late, but you’re absolutely wrong.
They are just traveling through Makna to reach Prison Island, not to reach Sword Valley, that one is much closer to Colony 6.
@@Sherolox Also late, but how is colony 6 close to sword valley? There aren’t any very direct in-game paths to get there
@@clintwaki6936 flying machines were shown to be used to get from sword valley directly to colony 9 for medical evac
logically during a war direct land routes aren't the only way to get somewhere
~Akai
hey do you know how to get the last quest for emmy leater? Cause it isn't showing up and I think I did something wrong.
Dear chuggaaconroy, what do you think will happen first?
1. You will finish this Lets Play
2. You will hit 1 million subs
Why not both?
veloxiraptor55
Because it's logically impossible not to do one before the other unless both occur at the exact same instant in time?
Conroy!
"Me and Miller..."

14:30 I guess Kenny's a Rush fan. You know "If you choose not to decide, you still have made a choice" ("Freewill").
LOL, I love how chuggaa's a hardcore Reyn/Sharla shipper.
it's cannon

Very late to the party, but I'm falling in love with this game because of this Let's Play Chuggaa :)

I love HCB. He is one of the best LPers I've ever watched :D
Also Chugga did a great job with this LP. You can see the passion he put in.
Right you have a guy that likes staring at the sky and they want to make him a painter. Don't they have a dozen vacancies in Air defence right now? Why wasn't he in the plateau above the valley watching the sky for mecon? Nice review sir. Clearly the Homs have no strategic grasp.
So excited! It´s pretty cool with all the new party members, looking forward to seeing more
Same here! :D
Me three! :) This LP is amazing! :D
#1moretogo
i love how when rikki is idle during conversations he just dances around like crazy and its hilarious especially because he's a nopon and all the nopon are all derpy and funny most of the time (i say MOST of the time sometimes they can be really serious and creepy)
While also doing Emmy Leater's quests with your same party (Reyn, Dunban, and Riki), Dunban commented to Reyn saying, "Reyn, it helps to look someone in the eyes when you're talking to them."
Caught me off guard, haha! Reyn must've had his attention a little lower when talking to Emmy.
20:49
Chugga: "Glorious view of Mechonis!"
Me: "Glorious view of dat ass!"
Who agrees with this comparison?
yeah sort of
also, the monado is the only weapon that can hurt mechon, and the keyblade is the only weapon that takes the hearts from heartless to kingdom hearts, but there are many wielders other than sora that each have a different keyblade, there's only one monado
Keyblade only chose sora for Ventus' heart inside of him..... There are many keyblade bearers most of them died but the three friends have their keyblades. 1 by accident. 1 by purpose and one a mistake.
except xenoblade chronicles is better lolololol no it probably isn't i mean i only played xenoblade, kingdom hearts uh no
Xenoblade is only one game whereas KH is 5 games i think at this point and the first two are the best.

Aaron Liranzo You were close.
Well that explains her bulid if ya know what I mean

Reyn says "OH YEAH! THAT WHAT I'M TALKING ABOUT"
Reyn a jerk.
While it wasn't explicitly stated, we "know" by now.
shamis mohamed
She talks about 'my people' in front of the party and refers to the Homs as if she isn't one. The Nopon also call her bird lady while calling the rest of the party "Hom homs". You're supposed to realize she's high entia almost immediately, but like MadameBerry said, dramatic irony. In the story the only reason the party doesn't realize it is because:
1) She looks like a homs.
2) They're still accustomed to the idea of the High Entia as a myth, so they forget that more than the Nopon and Homs exist on Bionis.
shamis mohamed
I really disagree on it being a spoiler.
MadameBerry
There's also the bunch of other things I mentioned in my other comment. There is so much saying she is an Entia, that it is almost obvious.
I'm surprised I never noticed this. A bunch of times I hate that the game spoils major plot twists hours before the party finds out, but I somehow didn't even realize they spoil Melia's identity before you even see her in the Telethia cutscene.
shamis mohamed Hmmm, I think she didn't have wings but her companions did.
Dunban is a general, not sure if that outranks captain or not though...
SaiyanSuperSonic yes, that definitely outranks a captain. but as i said, dunban would help anyway. he could be the commander of the armed forces, and would still take time out of his day to wander around and see if anyone wants him to grab them a drink from the store.
he is the true hero of the homian (or whatever) people
Seriously he's like one of the best, him melia and riki are OP
SaiyanSuperSonic they're homs, for the record. and really shulk is op. he can see and alter the future.
OMG CHUGGA YOUR VIDEO CAUSED THE INSIDE OF THE MICROWAVE CATCH ON FIRE!!!!
@@Garry-y7b Lol I forgot about this comment. Anyways we moved out of there not long afterwards. Idk if the house is still on fire or not.
I like how this Xenoblade has so many more sidequests than Xenoblade 2. Also, the affinity chart makes people in each locale seem much more connected than Xenoblade 2.
There are no "generic" quests in Xenoblade 2, though, plus the Affinity Chart kinda has quests (I guess those would be the generic quests, then)
David Neligan To be honest, I like the way both Xenoblade X and 2 handled sidequests compared to this game. Especially X. I felt that those games had more interesting quests.
@@superchiefdunga5394 the thing I dislike most about X is that they don't give level indicators for generic quests
Is it just me, or is TH-cam really slow today? I have to watch in 240p because it loads so slowly. Everything else runs just fine.
Im running fine at 720p.
Yeah nothing is working for me. It could just be my WiFi but I'm getting pretty good speeds in other video players so I have no idea what's going on.
***** LAWL. WHO PLAYS VIDEOS ON UTUBE NOT ON 4K, OR EVEN HD? HAHAHA.
Seriously, though, I'm actually a little jealous of people who can do that. My internet connection _sucks_.
Yeah, I noticed that as well. I was having issues running things in 360p, and I'm usually fine at 480.
This never happend to me when TH-cam was TH-cam and Google was NOT Google+.
For the quest from Kenny Rohan (Out with the light), I normally talk to Arnaut, get some iron krabble, have him fix it and give it to Kenny. I do that all the time as I believe that it's best.
Shulk's really feeling it!
25:28
Melia:"I have become stronger"
Chugga:"Now that we have become stronger"
Ironic choice of words there chugga.
5:40 - At least I can accuse them of exclusively casting the Brit as a the bad guy as that's what most (if not all) of the voice cast is.
18:43 - Riki talking blitzball (!)
24:25 - Perhaps he heard about it from the Nopon.
It feels good to hear your voice again Chugga. After spending two weeks in the hospital, it feels so nice to watch your videos again.
Just beaten the game, and I fully enjoyed it!
.... Though I did missed some good quests/messed up some of the quests.
And there are plenty of things that I could do now.
Congrats on beating the game! :D
There's always NG+ but sadly the monsters don't scale to your level.
Jacob H
I generally love to fight monsters on my level.
Same with me! :)
Me three. :)
I want to correct how you said maid instead of made... Oh- I did.
Heropon very cool!
How did Jan know about Makna Forest?
Sidequests contradict facts laid out in the story. Happens in many many RPGs.
Chuggaaconroy you make me laugh every time i watch one of you videos. You make my days. Thank you.
Thanks for the video, Emile! :)
Now I'm curious as to why Chugga chose to give her the Shield instead of the sword.
Not going to give spoilers, but I recently did all the sword quests myself, and it seemed like a pretty good ending with her completing her test.
I guess the gem's different for both so..
wow not many firsts. Im proud of these people.
Riki should be a newcomer, trophy, or assist trophy in Smash 4. :P Heropon so cool!
***** What if his smash is a seven party member chain attack, where everyone comes in and they each do their talent art? Wouldn't that just be amazing?
I can't believe you guys basically predicted what happened, lol. Also, heropon as Assist ans FS is best.
I agree completely! I'd really like it if they alternated which characters appeared, but it is a bit unlikely. ^^'
I love the Colony 9 Quests. Helping everyone out in the colony just gives you that warm fuzzy feeling.
Actually, I think it makes perfect sense that the Homs would know about Makna Forest:
Dunban comments on it being the home of the Nopon when they first arrive there, so it and its connection to the Nopon are known at least to him.
5:50 Oh, so that's why it's so good! Yeah, definitely nice having a little break from the 'Muricans' Mickey Mouse English.
The story of Xenoblade’s localization struggle makes me grin, considering that it now has a port to the 3DS, a release on the WiiU Virtual Console, a spinoff on the WiiU, a sequel on the Switch, a prequel to that sequel, AND an upcoming remake
XCX is not a spinoff
Then what DO you call it? It’s not a spiritual successor because it’s still a Xenoblade game, it’s not a remake because it’s got completely different characters plot and world, and it’s not a sequel because we have an actual storyline sequel
Uhhhhhh.....Sharla's stretching animation.
Weird
hey Chuggaconroy I know you don't like sharla that much but what do you think of her as a character like do you find her entertaining?
11:04 What did Riki say there? The quest text blocked out his speech bubble entirely.
chuggaaconroy It is true, but i got no video evidence. My camera exploded.
Oh, man... Sharla's clothing just can't stop getting my attention...and I am not talking about the top... =__=;;
+WhiteBladeZero you should
she also has jiggle physics
Most of those games either:
-Have one choice obviously much worse than the other, so rather than making the player think they just make the player go "oops, I'll just reaload and pick the 'right' option"
-Ruin the player's immersion by making the choice all about gameplay benefits rather than actual morality. (e.g. "I pick this choice because I need more Evil Points to use that super awesome attack I want") [Xenoblade kind of has some of this, but as Chugga said the differences in rewards is usually minimal anyway)
-Have choices too black-and-white, or, to quote Yahtzee, "Mother Teresa vs Baby Eater" Most real-life choices don't come down to things like that, Xenoblade's sidequests are much more true to reality. The player makes the choice they personally feel is right, and aren't punished for their choice.
Riki like fighting easy monsters!
More Xenoblade! :D Keep up the great work, Chugga!
hell yea
You love chugga too right?
Ryan Joseph Sievert One of my favorite TH-camrs!
Crap....
Riki's so cuteeee
Chuggaa is already overleveled as it is, and boss fights really aren't that hard.
Play Pokemon again...
Maybe in another year or two.

+chuggaaconroy European English? You mean English, english English and "European English" are the same
+chuggaaconroy Lol
+Jack Causton It's to differentiate between what Europeans use and what Americans use (which is really more of a dialect than actual English.)
>_< lol
Maybe the gettin' tons of experience thing was supposed to be a joke because the first part talks about, "don't believe everything you hear"
To be fair, the legendary hero Dunban, the Hero of the Homs and probably regarded the strongest at the time, the man who destroyed hundreds of mechon was level 21. Is it to far to say that maybe every normal character may not be even close to that level?
