Even setting aside the fact that Shri Krishnamoorthy is a friend of mine, this composition is one of a very high order. It combines all the qualities that make an ideal keertanam - lyrics that combine aesthetics and bhakti, a strong melody that allows creation of sangatis based on manodharma that vidwans can build up over the years, and the overall form that faithfully follows the conventional kirtanam template including a very lively and instructive chittaswaram. I hope and pray that good vidwans and vidushis take this up and propagate this in katcheries.
