Hi Linda, I feeling the same about decorations. I tried for a bit after we downsized to a small apartment but my heart isn't in it any more, and over the past few years Christmas decorations have dwindled to almost nothing. Don't want to be bah humbug, but it really does get harder to put them up and shin up and down stepladders. Oh, yes, do show us how you organise your loft. I think any reorganising video is interesting, particularly the solutions people find to store their stuff. I don't mind spiders at all, unless they are tarantulas or are too hairy. Like you I've lived abroad and am also Buddhist, so kindness to all things, and all that. I LOVE those graveyard videos! There's so much history in them and I used to help out with the upkeep of our local Victorian cemetery till I got too crumbly myself. (I didn't want to go in situ!) And you are so right about being at peace about dying, without wanting to necessarily go there today if I don't have to. And I'm not ghoulish either. I think it's a healthy thing to be able to engage in the thought that we are all going to the same place, regardless. Car boots? I always give away what doesn't sell. Even if I have to chase people down and insist! It's fatal to bring things back home. Thanks for a lovely chatty catch up! It's so relaxing to just watch something that isn't teaching us anything, or worse, lecturing us, just a bit of warm fun, and like a friendly chatty catch-up with a friend.

Hi Linda I love these chatty videos. It feels like having tea with a friend, and your humour cheers me up second to none. I enjoy the ‘Current Husband’ thing. I’d love to use it myself, but I still just have the one and I don’t want him getting any ideas 😂 I do enjoy watching these seasonal decor videos. It’s a sort of vicarious living thing for me as I only really decorate for Christmas and even then I don’t bother if we’re going to be away. My kids are in their twenties and really don’t care and I find it just becomes my joyous task to put everything up and then take it all back down again a couple of weeks later. And quite frankly I’m a bit over giving myself extra jobs to do just because it’s The Season. I think everyone is much happier when I’m outside enjoying a drink in the sunshine with them, rather than inside muttering darkly to myself while I untangle the umpteenth string of lights. I know I am 😁 Thank you for your lovely company today.

But I do like to do Christmas with lights all outside and a nice tree etc but have to say always glad to take them down. Good job we are not all the same ! Obviously I buy for my close family which is small but stopped for friends ,cousins, godchildren etc a long time ago just do big birthday’s ,anniversary’s , weddings etc . Hi, I do not do Autumn decor or Halloween but I have done Christmas over the years, I used to love dressing up the house with Christmas decorations but now I find it all a bit overwhelming and so a sort out is imminent in the garage! Have you watched the London team that do video tours. FREE Tours on Foot - Londons big 5 graveyards. I've seen about 3 & very interesting. First found them during Covid. Yes good idea dropping a generation off. I dropped my sister off & just bought for nephews. But I don't do them now as they are scattered to the 4 winds. I like the idea of a secret Santa for the adults. Hubby & I don't always buy gifts - depends what we've purchased during the year.

We give everyone £50 each and £50 each for their birthdays, plus if it's a BIG birthday then it's £100. My darling boy and I haven't bought each other anything for years and years but my darling boy does write me a poem as we don't buy each other any more cards either. The poems then get printed off and stuck into the card that I had from12 years ago. This month I've decluttered all of my decorations, I've got rid of all of them. Yes good idea dropping a generation off. I dropped my sister off & just bought for nephews. But I don't do them now as they are scattered to the 4 winds. I like the idea of a secret Santa for the adults. Hubby & I don't always buy gifts - depends what we've purchased during the year.

I did try. I put a sponge in the bath as I thought she might climb on it and I could hoof her out the window, but she curled up in a ball like a hedgehog!

My daughter told me that indoor spiders can't live outdoors and outdoor spiders can't live indoors so all these years that I've been "saving" them and putting them outside I've really been killing them! 🙈 ❤️
