formation targeting probably will be the most important thing in bannerlord. I was struggling with cavalary on attacking enemy archers, they were trying to fight with infantry but now finally we got this feature. now battles will be more tactical and fun.

Yeah especially for console players where they won’t allow a mod hub like farming simulator , even the update in the video isn’t released for console 😂😂 warband was my absolute favourite I bought bannerlord the day it was released and was already disappointed and the worst thing are the banners the warband banners were so good the new ones are just trash it’s not fun for me to lead a kingdom with a flag that looks like a one coloured paper and I’ve seen a lot of people complaining about it , warband was a masterpiece but I’m so disappointed by bannerlord
Still not understand how this feature play out in the balance of the game. What if troops on the wall keep pushing the ladder so the attacker could never climb it?
Those prices are insane though. I don't think most people or even TW for that matter understand how grindy their loot system actually is. This is going to take hours just to get the most basic taunt.

i think taunts need to be free because its the communication buying armors etc is okay but taunts is not okay for me its giving life to game it needs to be more and all need to be free and we choose 6 of them
First of all, amazing work TW. These features were definitely needed. But we're still awating more late game content and leagcy content (from Warband). We need aliances, feasts, random encounters (which players are able to get control of (drunkards in tavern)), conspiracies and coups. We need especially aliances so that once we are on the verge of conquering Calradia, remaining forces could join forces and work together.
Really hope y'all haven't given up on this game. I really love this game and always dreamed of a game like this. Please keep it alive? If anything please let mods be a thing on console?
For those asking there has been no update as to when it will go live on console seems like they are really taking the time to polish this update so it may be some time before they feel good about it

Great changes can't wait to see! The armors and weather looks amazing! Also, I would recomend three other things that I think other people like too: Naval battles and Seafaring, more depth for Diplomacy, and an option to be an outlaw (rob nobles, build bandit camp that you need to defend, terrorize townsfolk to gain money and resources, and assassinate Lords)
As a player that finished 2 campaings ( with empire and against it ) and 1 free roam only using bandits, you just spoke my dream of gameplay, as an outlaw.
Taleworlds, even among Indy standards, work at an absolute snails pace, it can be an unfortunate side effect of having such a great modding community, developers get slower and lazier. Mods are great for PC users, but Vanilla players often get left behind or must wait years for anything game changing if at all. With that said I will however commend TW for bringing the great work of the modding community to Vanilla such as the features in this update. But the content and updates implemented by TW themselves are so few and far between and so slow that seeing all of the potential that Bannerlord has, especially being a PS5 user, feels abysmal.
As a brand new player, the amount of potential this game has is so insane. If they just did 1 or two updates on this level a year it would probably be the biggest rts game out there

100% Agree. It's missing something though. Not sure what it is. They need to have more of a purpose for the player to walk around the beautiful landscapes. Maybe if they added some sort of quest based on charm that forced players to walk around the city. Like resolving dispute between 2 gangs in the city? Helping a kid with a lost dog. Hell, even doing small jobs like buying wine/beer from the market and delivering it to the tavern, or meat to the butcher. Great starter jobs for a new character.

The other thing is that, because the time doesn't pass while you are in a city it feels like you are wasting your time since the rest of the game is frozen imo, I wish they would add smth like that as a optional feature or smth
Congratulations for this update! I like it so much, specially the combat rework and command system. But I want a Kingdom Politics rework, make new laws and put leaders law like elections(republic, holy roman empire, etc laws). Put ministers, spionage and so on. This would lead the campaign to a more diversity and epicness. I hope you do this soon. Thanks!
The new rain effects were so fucking cool, I remember going into a siege as a merc and seeing the ground be wet and with a heavy overcast. Idk what about it, but it was just so special, set the mod perfectly. Great update
Given all the great changes made mechanically in the last two versions it would be nice to get some more diplomatic changes added in. That being said mechanical updates such as the targeting, the weather and the fog of war are quite important. These help the base game and the mods as well. I also like the additional integration of the fog of war with other events. Tying everything together makes the world feel more connected and more alive. So I imagine feasts would be really amazing ways to get acquainted with numerous lords and their family from the kingdom you joined and its allies. Not only that it provides an opportunity to make a spouse feel more alive and more important. Same with your fief where having higher upgrades may provide larger and more extravagant dining areas. Along with feasts hosting hunts with local village chiefs, and other lords would be very cool. Perhaps some kings traditionally go on hunts every year. It could be an opportunity to prove oneself and gain renown with the lords and ladies of the realm. Similarly going to a prestigious tournament and claiming victory could earn you the right to travel to the castle or attend the banquet and meet the lords. Doing so would now not only provide monetary reward and fame but also intelligence. At these types of events lords might bring you quests or you might have quests for other lords as your standing increases and it could be a good opportunity to give them out or request some aid.
Great ideas! I especially like the ability to flesh out the wife's alittle more with feasts! The only time I get to spend with Ira is when I'm bashing in her head during a tournament :(
Bannerlord hardcore fan. Sincr bannerlord came out, other games became boring and have no value to play. Bannelord beat all the other games in competition and conquered the video game business in my opinion. We love bannerlord. We love ONLY men vs men, we LOVE family dynasty inheritance system going on and on!!!! This game is really actually we only could have imagined until before it came out. TaleWorld brought our imaginary game to the reality to public! TaleWorld is SUPER GREAT!!!! If you guys are planning any future game, please please make it as only men vs men continually and always put family dynasty inheritance system in it continually. That is we can play ancient history, medieval history coming back alive as a game.

Kingdom destruction is much needed. I’m tired of going to war with an empire without fief and can’t kill the lords without suffering from some kind of negative relationship with everyone. Now, all this game need is SOME kind of diplomatic addition and we’ll be set. I’m also tired of accepting a peace offering , thus releasing the captured lords just to have them declare war again immediately. They need to not only pay tribute but they should have a mechanic of not being able to attack, say for a month.

Feasts, Alliances, more interactivity within cities and villages and this game will be perfect. Been enjoying the update so far though and super happy to see fiefless kingdoms finally disband

You guys should add the option to serve as a Soldier and get promotion to the ranks after that you can became a hero and fight duels against other armies hero’s or lord . Second you can also became a Captain under the lord you are Serving. And finally be elevate to a lord and that’s how we can established a clan and create a banner .! Thats my best opinion to the game more immersive and I bet more players be interested in your game !
I've just finished to look at the beta patch notes, and what caught my attention the most, was a trend in their releases. The 1.2.0 Beta Patch was released in June 23; 1.2.1 and 1.2.2 respectively in July 6 and 21; 1.2.3 in the 4th day of August; 1.2.4 in the 28th day of September; 13 days between 1.2.0 and 1.2.1; 15 days between 1.2.1 and 1.2.2; So 28 days between 1.2.0 and 1.2.2; 14 days between 1.2.2 and 1.2.3; 27 days between 1.2.3 and 1.2.4; So 41 days between 1.2.2 and 1.2.4. Before the waiting between 1.2.3 and 1.2.4 they usually released patch notes consistently every 2 weeks, then we had to wait double that time, almost a month. Between 1.2.even numbers there's a larger waiting gap, whereas between even and odd numbers there usually was a smaller amount. So, if they're not taking another vacation, the next beta patch should be released around the 10th/14th of this month (I guess it'll be the 1.2.6, so 1.1.8 for Consoles) which should be the last one, before the live update release. (The update will be compressed into 1.2.0, so I don't think they'll go with a 1.3.0 beta patch note, it would be conceptually stupid to write it). So, us Console players should, maybe, get our hands on the update around Halloween. But if their plan is delaying...again, probably during mid-late November, which would be extremely disappointing for an update with more than 4 months of development including beta testings, that will introduce basic features that should have always been into the game from the start, and be the starter point from which improving it into a more immersive, deep, and fluid experience, which will not still be after this update. As others said in this comments, look at what the modders are doing (I report the example of Banner Kings previously made, that should have mostly been the Vanilla Bannerlord experience). Anyway, personally, I will probably make another playthrough when the next update will be released on Console, just for the Cheats, Kingdom Destruction, and the Weather system. In the end, there's not really much great either(3 armour pieces added in over 4 months of update, as someone previously said, is embarrassing), and probably I would have not even considered to be back playing this game if not for the promise of being able to use Cheats, and it's presence in Game Pass.
I can't wait to get a pc I hate that developers port game games then just give zero fucks when it comes to support an not having mods to clean the game up is frustrating like simple changes are still needed an we are 3 months removed from announcing the update we have only a hope of release 🙃🙃🙃

This is the most significant update in a long time, it enabled me to get rid of a few mods, good work. However the community has been crying out for a roadmap for some time, it would definitely help you retain players that may otherwise leave due to thinking the game is finished.
As I said at release when select people had complaints, "just you wait". Good work TaleWorlds, look forward to future patches to experience your vision.
Please add a feature where you as a player can join a random army as a mercenary and rise through the ranks. Just like the Serve as a Soldier mod (which sadly crashes for allot of people and is not on Steam Workshop) Would convince me to start a new but very different campaign

Greetings! Do you still read comments here? Hopefully, because I want to let you know that the mounted combat system is highly appreciated! It leaves nothing to be desired, besides fighting war elephants on my horse heh, but really, it's diverse, it's prevalent, besieging settlements on my horse is creative and so much fun, it's fully viable how it should be and you did a great job with it! I've purchased Bannerlord on my Playstation 4 for its mounted combat and it certainly did not disappoint! Now with the option to disable birth and aging on the consoles, I can fully enjoy your game without losing my character! Though I would've preferred it if birth and aging only affected my character but it's the smallest of complaints! My only real issue here is the fact that you can't ride the horses you equip in your civilian attire, pretty sure that's a bug that should be fixed. I should certainly hope that you cherish the mounted combat you've created, and maybe allow the Aserai to recruit war elephants in their south-eastern settlements, or introduce a new south-eastern faction with war elephants, because taking down a war elephant on my horse would be so innovative and exciting! Oh, hideouts, I completely forgot about them haha! This would be another area where mounted combat leaves a lot to be desired. Attacking hideouts is honestly tedious, letting me raid them on my horse and having every bandit band together to fight me would make them more exciting. Even just having every bandit in a hideout rush out to fight me would make raiding them less of a grind.

I’ve been saying since day one that formation targeting is a must. Now that it’s added I’m hopping right back onto the Bannerlord train and not looking back. Amazing update, well done team :)
So happy to have discovered this game last week and find out the developers still care and keep adding new content and updates game best game I’ve played
Would be dope to see ships in the future. You would have to acess ships at whatever port you left it at, and the could come in different varieties based on culture. Like the Styrgians would have longships and would have an advantage on rivers, Vlandians would have their western European version of the longship (like what was seen in 1000 ad, about the time if the game), khuzaits would follow more mongolian designs, Aserai would have there arabic ships, and battians would follow the germanic ships. You could have diffrent sizes for diffrent costs, a fleet of smaller and weaker ships for say 100,000 and the largest ships which would be 500,000. You get a fleet that always fits the size of your army, so an army of 150 on a fleet of ships that fit 100 needs 2 ships, or a ship that fits 50 needs 3. Fleets would have a durability, so if ships of the largest and most durable class get destroyed, say, 15 times, you beed to rebuy the fleet. This would have more effects then just transportation, as you can by trade ships for caravans, letting them get around much faster and carry more, also avoiding many of the dangers of being on land, but would leave them exposed to any resistance by other ships. This would also allow seiges by sea and river, which would give you many advantages due to being able to infiltrate by port, but would also leave you as a massive target, since ships would be target practice for archers. It would make it so defensive seige engines would be much more powerful, since they can sink ships and destroy large portions of armies, but also slower to build since there is no dedicated platform for them. This would also open the door for another atribute that focuses on the sea, Sea Tatices, which would focus on ship vs ship battles, seiges by water, and ship armaments/defense. Sea Fareing, that focuses on ship speed, cost, and increase how many men can get on. And Ship builing, thats you level up and increase the functions of your ship, similar to feifs, so if you have a trade ship for example, you can increase the storage and armor, adding physical storage rooms, or wides/lengthing ships, and shields and reinforements to the hull. Obviously, there would be more to the skills, but these are examples. These would allow ships to not become too op, as you would have to invest into ships not only with money, but with levels, weaking you in other areas. While this would obviously be hard to implement, it would be amazing to see, and it would give more realisem to the world (not to mention it would give a purpose to ports in towns).
Please for the sake of everything that is holy, please rework the budling mechanic so it actually has more impact and building your city is more fun rather than one click, toss some money and leave it alone for months, also please add buildings to villages like in warband.... The changes so far seem amazing though but some are bugged out, though it looks really good so far!!!
Weather is such a cool dynamic mechanic. I think this gives infantry a good buff. I do wish that something like FOLIAGE had an effect on the battle. Hiding troops under trees and in bushes should offer some sort of protection from projectiles.
This patch is one that actually gave me hope that you actually do listen to feedback, bit slow, but this is such a huge step in the right direction. I've now removed the need for several mods due to this patch haveing it in vanilla.(for the record I cant play with the mods regardless with beta, since those wont work with it :P) But once this goes to live and the other mods are updated etc to work with it, I wont need to look for updates for 3 of them. Now implement a few more things from Warband as others say - Feast.
TaleWorlds, Could you please add an alliance feature, where you can form alliances with other kingdoms. Also, a messenger feature, where you can sent messages to other clans instead of riding across the map trying to find them. Add a new fief management system, where you can talk to your subjects with grievances inside your fief addition to the other features. And last but not least, an new war strategy system where you can coordinate armies directions by having them defend Castles and towns or attack enemy settlements and strongholds.
Warband had something similar giving orders to vassels to patrol here attack there allot of warband could be utilised timed peace declarations would be helpful

Hello. Your game is awesome. But it definitely lacks a few mechanics: 1) Court positions such as Diplomat, House Guard Captain, Steward, Knights. I believe that every lord should have such positions so that his castle does not look empty and for the player to make it more interesting to manage his castle. 2) Hierarchy system, from the Baron who rules the village to the King who rules the Kingdom. 3) Normal Diplomacy with clear goals in declaring war and making peace and dynastic marriages both between kingdoms and between lords and ladies of the same faction for an alliance. 4) Seafaring, ships and naval battles. 5) More improved and complex economy, so that the player does not get rich quickly)
Truly an amazing game, originally a good game made great by the love and care of a dedicated group of devs. Never stop guys, been following since warband and you've never disappointed

Please upgrade the clan banner editor, pleeaaasee! It would be great to have an editor that allows you to add more than one symbol, rotate it, and change its size and stuff like that. It's not fair that the other factions in the game have elaborate coats of arms with roses and crowns and stuff, while the player is only allowed to add one simple and boring symbol. :)

Beta player here. It is amazing to see how far Bannerlord has come. It has taken a long time to become the game we dreamed it to be, but it is finally at that stage in my opinion. I am so excited to start a playthrough completely from scratch again!!
This Clowns said it should have been released this month...some days ago they've announced another delay of an undetermined number weeks... They're not worth to be bothered anymore. They'll probably end up disbanding their studio, abandoning the game, probably delete it, and run away with the money they're making out of their community.

imma not about to cap pc modded bannerlord compared to vanilla is on a whole new level this developement team is kinda like bethesda they have to relie on the modders to make the game good lmao.

To those who still do not understand what is going on, the update is not live. This is a video of 4 months ago describing something that there wasn't, and there isn't, if not on Beta, which can only be experienced on PC, before it goes released on Console. And yes, this update is taking more than 4 months for it, and judging from some recent playthroughs I'm seeing on internet on the actual state of this patch, it is horrendous. The AI was already stupid, now it is otherworldly embarrassing. Archers of any kind have infinite stamina, they keep on aiming all the time, and just hit you, always, always knowing where you are and when are you gonna show up from cover. Soldiers carrying shields have larger hit box for the shields than their actual size. Probably some kind of imbued magic, right?! Also, every time you face them they instantly put them up. The AI just blocks, just focuses on blocking, and nothing more, and if it doesn't know what to do, blocks casually waving weapons or shields in the air and maybe gives a hit, once in a while. All of this, makes the AI extremely shy, boring, unsecure, and annoying regarding the archers, which are a big threat even if on level 1 with minimum skill. Battles have never been so tedious and monotonous at the same time. But hey, they're gonna add taunts and 3 pieces of armour, after way more than 4 months of "work"... Even with Kingdom Destruction, Pregnancy during travels, and Cheats, I'm already very reluctant to give Bannerlord another try. If they don't fix these issues, I will probably never play it again.
this looks SO AWESOME! its a great update! When you mentioned geting information about lords whith the tavern keeper i remembered the feasts in warband, which were kinda usefull to know the nobles or speackijg to all of them in the same place and meeting the ladies. So i hope you dont forget one day about feasts and how can you make them worth atending. Also poets or maybe musicians to play some tunes for money. I dont know right now how to make the feasts cooler but i trust you guys, you always come up whith surprises

Really appreciate the changes to the bandit gameplay style. The changes do appear to make some strong changes to the game. We really need some diplomacy changes at the kingdom stage of the game though. We need cease fires, treaties, and trade agreements with other kingdoms. I personally think the first 30 hours of a campaign are great but it would be ideal for the kingdom stage of the game to become more robust. Combat has become refined, and is best in class, but it is now time for strategy elements. Thank you for your hard work and I'm looking forward to more improvements!😁
Kudos to Taleworlds for supporting the game long after it's release. Considering they have made most of their sales already when the game is released, this shows a lot showing company's commitment to the project.
Why does it say cheat menu here, but not in the game? He also said by holding lb, rt, and d-pad down that it would pull up a cheat menu and it doesn't..
Because you got sold a false bill of goods. This update has been in beta for almost 5 months, still not released on console. This video does a poor job explaining that.

ladders in actual sieges can virtually never be pushed back down while being climbed, the weight and physics don't allow for it

i think taunts need to be free because its the communication buying armors etc is okay but taunts is not okay for me its giving life to game it needs to be more and all need to be free and we choose 6 of them

First of all, amazing work TW. These features were definitely needed. But we're still awating more late game content and leagcy content (from Warband). We need aliances, feasts, random encounters (which players are able to get control of (drunkards in tavern)), conspiracies and coups. We need especially aliances so that once we are on the verge of conquering Calradia, remaining forces could join forces and work together.

Great changes can't wait to see! The armors and weather looks amazing! Also, I would recomend three other things that I think other people like too: Naval battles and Seafaring, more depth for Diplomacy, and an option to be an outlaw (rob nobles, build bandit camp that you need to defend, terrorize townsfolk to gain money and resources, and assassinate Lords)
As a player that finished 2 campaings ( with empire and against it ) and 1 free roam only using bandits, you just spoke my dream of gameplay, as an outlaw.

This comment starting to feel kind of prophetic.
Taleworlds, even among Indy standards, work at an absolute snails pace, it can be an unfortunate side effect of having such a great modding community, developers get slower and lazier. Mods are great for PC users, but Vanilla players often get left behind or must wait years for anything game changing if at all.
With that said I will however commend TW for bringing the great work of the modding community to Vanilla such as the features in this update. But the content and updates implemented by TW themselves are so few and far between and so slow that seeing all of the potential that Bannerlord has, especially being a PS5 user, feels abysmal.

100% Agree. It's missing something though. Not sure what it is. They need to have more of a purpose for the player to walk around the beautiful landscapes. Maybe if they added some sort of quest based on charm that forced players to walk around the city. Like resolving dispute between 2 gangs in the city? Helping a kid with a lost dog. Hell, even doing small jobs like buying wine/beer from the market and delivering it to the tavern, or meat to the butcher. Great starter jobs for a new character.

Congratulations for this update! I like it so much, specially the combat rework and command system.
But I want a Kingdom Politics rework, make new laws and put leaders law like elections(republic, holy roman empire, etc laws). Put ministers, spionage and so on. This would lead the campaign to a more diversity and epicness. I hope you do this soon. Thanks!

The new rain effects were so fucking cool, I remember going into a siege as a merc and seeing the ground be wet and with a heavy overcast. Idk what about it, but it was just so special, set the mod perfectly. Great update

Please add base building and the possibility of customize a village / city! I'd kill for that.
Given all the great changes made mechanically in the last two versions it would be nice to get some more diplomatic changes added in. That being said mechanical updates such as the targeting, the weather and the fog of war are quite important. These help the base game and the mods as well. I also like the additional integration of the fog of war with other events. Tying everything together makes the world feel more connected and more alive.
So I imagine feasts would be really amazing ways to get acquainted with numerous lords and their family from the kingdom you joined and its allies. Not only that it provides an opportunity to make a spouse feel more alive and more important. Same with your fief where having higher upgrades may provide larger and more extravagant dining areas. Along with feasts hosting hunts with local village chiefs, and other lords would be very cool. Perhaps some kings traditionally go on hunts every year. It could be an opportunity to prove oneself and gain renown with the lords and ladies of the realm.
Similarly going to a prestigious tournament and claiming victory could earn you the right to travel to the castle or attend the banquet and meet the lords. Doing so would now not only provide monetary reward and fame but also intelligence. At these types of events lords might bring you quests or you might have quests for other lords as your standing increases and it could be a good opportunity to give them out or request some aid.
Great ideas! I especially like the ability to flesh out the wife's alittle more with feasts! The only time I get to spend with Ira is when I'm bashing in her head during a tournament :(
Bannerlord hardcore fan. Sincr bannerlord came out, other games became boring and have no value to play. Bannelord beat all the other games in competition and conquered the video game business in my opinion. We love bannerlord. We love ONLY men vs men, we LOVE family dynasty inheritance system going on and on!!!! This game is really actually we only could have imagined until before it came out. TaleWorld brought our imaginary game to the reality to public! TaleWorld is SUPER GREAT!!!! If you guys are planning any future game, please please make it as only men vs men continually and always put family dynasty inheritance system in it continually. That is we can play ancient history, medieval history coming back alive as a game.
I'm very much looking forward to this patch. There are some fantastic improvements here and can't wait to get my hands on it! Appreciate that you're still listening to players and implementing a host of changes to improve the game. Hopefully there will be many more to come!
Kingdom destruction is much needed. I’m tired of going to war with an empire without fief and can’t kill the lords without suffering from some kind of negative relationship with everyone. Now, all this game need is SOME kind of diplomatic addition and we’ll be set. I’m also tired of accepting a peace offering , thus releasing the captured lords just to have them declare war again immediately. They need to not only pay tribute but they should have a mechanic of not being able to attack, say for a month.
You guys are legends! There's so much passion obvious in this game. I love it. This game, the hard work you guys put into it, it's great to see. Can't wait to stumble upon all this new stuff! :)

Feasts, Alliances, more interactivity within cities and villages and this game will be perfect. Been enjoying the update so far though and super happy to see fiefless kingdoms finally disband
# Taleworlds Entertainment you guys did a great job in the last patch ! You guys should add the option to serve as a Soldier and get promotion to the ranks after that you can became a hero and fight duels against other armies hero’s or lord . Second you can also became a Captain under the lord you are Serving. And finally be elevate to a lord and that’s how we can established a clan and create a banner .! Thats my best opinion to the game more immersive and I bet more players be interested in your game !

I've just finished to look at the beta patch notes, and what caught my attention the most, was a trend in their releases. The 1.2.0 Beta Patch was released in June 23;
1.2.1 and 1.2.2 respectively in July 6 and 21;
1.2.3 in the 4th day of August;
1.2.4 in the 28th day of September;
13 days between 1.2.0 and 1.2.1;
15 days between 1.2.1 and 1.2.2;
So 28 days between 1.2.0 and 1.2.2;
14 days between 1.2.2 and 1.2.3;
27 days between 1.2.3 and 1.2.4;
So 41 days between 1.2.2 and 1.2.4.
Before the waiting between 1.2.3 and 1.2.4 they usually released patch notes consistently every 2 weeks, then we had to wait double that time, almost a month.
Between 1.2.even numbers there's a larger waiting gap, whereas between even and odd numbers there usually was a smaller amount.
So, if they're not taking another vacation, the next beta patch should be released around the 10th/14th of this month (I guess it'll be the 1.2.6, so 1.1.8 for Consoles) which should be the last one, before the live update release. (The update will be compressed into 1.2.0, so I don't think they'll go with a 1.3.0 beta patch note, it would be conceptually stupid to write it).
So, us Console players should, maybe, get our hands on the update around Halloween.
But if their plan is delaying...again, probably during mid-late November, which would be extremely disappointing for an update with more than 4 months of development including beta testings, that will introduce basic features that should have always been into the game from the start, and be the starter point from which improving it into a more immersive, deep, and fluid experience, which will not still be after this update. As others said in this comments, look at what the modders are doing (I report the example of Banner Kings previously made, that should have mostly been the Vanilla Bannerlord experience).
Anyway, personally, I will probably make another playthrough when the next update will be released on Console, just for the Cheats, Kingdom Destruction, and the Weather system. In the end, there's not really much great either(3 armour pieces added in over 4 months of update, as someone previously said, is embarrassing), and probably I would have not even considered to be back playing this game if not for the promise of being able to use Cheats, and it's presence in Game Pass.
A dev just responded on the forums. Said release wont be this month, gonna be more beta branches first.

This is the most significant update in a long time, it enabled me to get rid of a few mods, good work. However the community has been crying out for a roadmap for some time, it would definitely help you retain players that may otherwise leave due to thinking the game is finished.

It leaves nothing to be desired, besides fighting war elephants on my horse heh, but really, it's diverse, it's prevalent, besieging settlements on my horse is creative and so much fun, it's fully viable how it should be and you did a great job with it!
I've purchased Bannerlord on my Playstation 4 for its mounted combat and it certainly did not disappoint!
Now with the option to disable birth and aging on the consoles, I can fully enjoy your game without losing my character!
Though I would've preferred it if birth and aging only affected my character but it's the smallest of complaints!
My only real issue here is the fact that you can't ride the horses you equip in your civilian attire, pretty sure that's a bug that should be fixed.
I should certainly hope that you cherish the mounted combat you've created, and maybe allow the Aserai to recruit war elephants in their south-eastern settlements, or introduce a new south-eastern faction with war elephants, because taking down a war elephant on my horse would be so innovative and exciting!
Oh, hideouts, I completely forgot about them haha!
This would be another area where mounted combat leaves a lot to be desired.
Attacking hideouts is honestly tedious, letting me raid them on my horse and having every bandit band together to fight me would make them more exciting.
Even just having every bandit in a hideout rush out to fight me would make raiding them less of a grind.

Would be dope to see ships in the future. You would have to acess ships at whatever port you left it at, and the could come in different varieties based on culture.
Like the Styrgians would have longships and would have an advantage on rivers, Vlandians would have their western European version of the longship (like what was seen in 1000 ad, about the time if the game), khuzaits would follow more mongolian designs, Aserai would have there arabic ships, and battians would follow the germanic ships.
You could have diffrent sizes for diffrent costs, a fleet of smaller and weaker ships for say 100,000 and the largest ships which would be 500,000. You get a fleet that always fits the size of your army, so an army of 150 on a fleet of ships that fit 100 needs 2 ships, or a ship that fits 50 needs 3. Fleets would have a durability, so if ships of the largest and most durable class get destroyed, say, 15 times, you beed to rebuy the fleet.
This would have more effects then just transportation, as you can by trade ships for caravans, letting them get around much faster and carry more, also avoiding many of the dangers of being on land, but would leave them exposed to any resistance by other ships. This would also allow seiges by sea and river, which would give you many advantages due to being able to infiltrate by port, but would also leave you as a massive target, since ships would be target practice for archers. It would make it so defensive seige engines would be much more powerful, since they can sink ships and destroy large portions of armies, but also slower to build since there is no dedicated platform for them.
This would also open the door for another atribute that focuses on the sea, Sea Tatices, which would focus on ship vs ship battles, seiges by water, and ship armaments/defense. Sea Fareing, that focuses on ship speed, cost, and increase how many men can get on. And Ship builing, thats you level up and increase the functions of your ship, similar to feifs, so if you have a trade ship for example, you can increase the storage and armor, adding physical storage rooms, or wides/lengthing ships, and shields and reinforements to the hull. Obviously, there would be more to the skills, but these are examples. These would allow ships to not become too op, as you would have to invest into ships not only with money, but with levels, weaking you in other areas.
While this would obviously be hard to implement, it would be amazing to see, and it would give more realisem to the world (not to mention it would give a purpose to ports in towns).
Please for the sake of everything that is holy, please rework the budling mechanic so it actually has more impact and building your city is more fun rather than one click, toss some money and leave it alone for months, also please add buildings to villages like in warband....
The changes so far seem amazing though but some are bugged out, though it looks really good so far!!!

Weather is such a cool dynamic mechanic. I think this gives infantry a good buff. I do wish that something like FOLIAGE had an effect on the battle. Hiding troops under trees and in bushes should offer some sort of protection from projectiles.

This patch is one that actually gave me hope that you actually do listen to feedback, bit slow, but this is such a huge step in the right direction.
I've now removed the need for several mods due to this patch haveing it in vanilla.(for the record I cant play with the mods regardless with beta, since those wont work with it :P)
But once this goes to live and the other mods are updated etc to work with it, I wont need to look for updates for 3 of them.
Now implement a few more things from Warband as others say - Feast.
Really impressive roster of changes here guys. Immense quality of life improvements. Congrats TaleWorlds, keep doing this kind of stuff! 💪
TaleWorlds, Could you please add an alliance feature, where you can form alliances with other kingdoms. Also, a messenger feature, where you can sent messages to other clans instead of riding across the map trying to find them. Add a new fief management system, where you can talk to your subjects with grievances inside your fief addition to the other features. And last but not least, an new war strategy system where you can coordinate armies directions by having them defend Castles and towns or attack enemy settlements and strongholds.
Warband had something similar giving orders to vassels to patrol here attack there allot of warband could be utilised timed peace declarations would be helpful

Hello. Your game is awesome. But it definitely lacks a few mechanics: 1) Court positions such as Diplomat, House Guard Captain, Steward, Knights. I believe that every lord should have such positions so that his castle does not look empty and for the player to make it more interesting to manage his castle.
2) Hierarchy system, from the Baron who rules the village to the King who rules the Kingdom.
3) Normal Diplomacy with clear goals in declaring war and making peace and dynastic marriages both between kingdoms and between lords and ladies of the same faction for an alliance.
4) Seafaring, ships and naval battles.
5) More improved and complex economy, so that the player does not get rich quickly)
naval battles are a nice dream but imo the last thing to focus on as it requires a wholly unique set of systems

@@johnwayne9828 I hope you have fun I switched over to watching more crusader kings it looks so much fun it's not as command depth as bannerlord but it's so much more complex I would appreciate it if the devs gave a reason for why it's taking this long because I think it would be better if they released the update then after a week release their improvements people waited years for just a beta then waited more years for a half baked early access then finally after release glitches and problems and the fact that their are some items that players want in the game for example crowns and the western imperial jewelled battle helm but players can't get them if they don't release the update early September a lot more people are going to be mad

Please upgrade the clan banner editor, pleeaaasee! It would be great to have an editor that allows you to add more than one symbol, rotate it, and change its size and stuff like that. It's not fair that the other factions in the game have elaborate coats of arms with roses and crowns and stuff, while the player is only allowed to add one simple and boring symbol. :)

Beta player here. It is amazing to see how far Bannerlord has come. It has taken a long time to become the game we dreamed it to be, but it is finally at that stage in my opinion. I am so excited to start a playthrough completely from scratch again!!

This Clowns said it should have been released this month...some days ago they've announced another delay of an undetermined number weeks... They're not worth to be bothered anymore. They'll probably end up disbanding their studio, abandoning the game, probably delete it, and run away with the money they're making out of their community.

To those who still do not understand what is going on, the update is not live. This is a video of 4 months ago describing something that there wasn't, and there isn't, if not on Beta, which can only be experienced on PC, before it goes released on Console. And yes, this update is taking more than 4 months for it, and judging from some recent playthroughs I'm seeing on internet on the actual state of this patch, it is horrendous. The AI was already stupid, now it is otherworldly embarrassing.
Archers of any kind have infinite stamina, they keep on aiming all the time, and just hit you, always, always knowing where you are and when are you gonna show up from cover. Soldiers carrying shields have larger hit box for the shields than their actual size. Probably some kind of imbued magic, right?! Also, every time you face them they instantly put them up.
The AI just blocks, just focuses on blocking, and nothing more, and if it doesn't know what to do, blocks casually waving weapons or shields in the air and maybe gives a hit, once in a while.
All of this, makes the AI extremely shy, boring, unsecure, and annoying regarding the archers, which are a big threat even if on level 1 with minimum skill. Battles have never been so tedious and monotonous at the same time.
But hey, they're gonna add taunts and 3 pieces of armour, after way more than 4 months of "work"...
Even with Kingdom Destruction, Pregnancy during travels, and Cheats, I'm already very reluctant to give Bannerlord another try. If they don't fix these issues, I will probably never play it again.
It's sad that they are doing this. At this point (in my opinion) warband is better.

When you mentioned geting information about lords whith the tavern keeper i remembered the feasts in warband, which were kinda usefull to know the nobles or speackijg to all of them in the same place and meeting the ladies. So i hope you dont forget one day about feasts and how can you make them worth atending. Also poets or maybe musicians to play some tunes for money. I dont know right now how to make the feasts cooler but i trust you guys, you always come up whith surprises

Really appreciate the changes to the bandit gameplay style. The changes do appear to make some strong changes to the game. We really need some diplomacy changes at the kingdom stage of the game though. We need cease fires, treaties, and trade agreements with other kingdoms. I personally think the first 30 hours of a campaign are great but it would be ideal for the kingdom stage of the game to become more robust. Combat has become refined, and is best in class, but it is now time for strategy elements. Thank you for your hard work and I'm looking forward to more improvements!😁

Kudos to Taleworlds for supporting the game long after it's release. Considering they have made most of their sales already when the game is released, this shows a lot showing company's commitment to the project.

Why does it say cheat menu here, but not in the game? He also said by holding lb, rt, and d-pad down that it would pull up a cheat menu and it doesn't..
Because you got sold a false bill of goods. This update has been in beta for almost 5 months, still not released on console. This video does a poor job explaining that.
