1:41 I think your idiot boyfriend meant speaking “Mexican”
You guys should remember that when Breaking Bad first aired, we the audience didn’t know how many seasons there would be. So every episode, people had no clue if Walter would survive the next day, the next week, the next month, etc. not only his cancer, but the real danger posed by the criminals of this drug underworld.
You guys are both right. It's a nice mixture of him having almost died for nothing in the desert, the anger that he's killed people and started cooking meth for now seemingly no reason due to his cancer's remission, the anger at life in general for finally allowing him to feel "alive" by knowing his expiration date but now having it become obsolete, and probably the anger at himself for wishing the news was bad.
I've always seen it as him being angry that he has lost his excuse to cook. He is starting to come into his own but can no longer rationalize it.
@@popeye5989 That has always been my interpretation aswell
@@ThePrillmeister the look in his face before he he punches it was more Heisenberg than Walter.
He's pissed he won't have an excuse to cook anymore. That's it. As seen in the next episode where he is bored out of his mind and decides in the end to cook because he likes it, not for the money.
@@Chimponaut as the show goes on and you learn more about Walter it becomes very clear either through visual storytelling or him straight up saying it, it's a mix of everything involved. Walt is a complicated character that can't be boiled down to one simple motivation. His pride fuels everything, and it's not a coincidence that the thing that sets him off and causes his lashing out is looking at his own face.
Pudgey’s exactly right. He did so much thinking he was going to die and now he has to live with it and keep going. He didn’t plan for that.
*_"Aaaaahh... wire."_* 🤣
He was so proud! 🤣🤣😭
Walt is an avid environmentalist. He absolutely hates paper towel dispensers and destroys them on sight.
"A+ for you Jesse" - Pudgey
"What element are we going to use for the conductor, Jesse?" - Walt
"Wire" - Jesse
Premature A+ if I've ever seen one! hahaha
Jesse is kinda right. Its a copper wire
@@user-ex7yq6xq9s no because Walt asked what element, not object or anything like that.
Well it's kinda an electric circuit element😅
Pudgey was spot on with saying Walt felt sorry, becuse he killed Crazy 8 and done so much stuff becuse he thought he had too, distorted metal image on metal tile in bathroom represents how Walter is permenetly changed by events up to this point.
Getting to that good good stuff :D CANT WAIT FOR NEXT 3 SEASONS!
you wont fkin belive what this show turns into
Spoiler (not really): It turns into a masterpiece
For the record that's not a metal tile. It's a metal papertowel dispenser on a tile wall.
Krazy-8
ye was too lazy too find out how to phrase what i wanted to say, since im not native speaker haha, but i think everyone got the messagge
ty tho@@kneelread
It's good yall remembered the Spanish speaking scene in the desert with Saul. It's a small detail that comes in MUCH later
You mean when they spoke “Mexican”
@@darkstar3116please tell me you dont think hes serious
Pudgey is always ahead of the game. It is amazing to watch how quickly she absorbs the inside information and knows what is coming. Great job. Spartan you got lucky with this one.
The writers of this show weren’t afraid to write themselves into corners and have us asking “how could they possibly get out of this” over and over, love that!
I think that has to do with Jesse originally supposed to die at the end of season 1 but because of the strike they had to stop filming which gave them time to rethink it. That, I think, taught the creators (and gave them the confidence) right off the bat they could be aiming for something and pivot last minute and make it work better.
@@gonzo6489 yeah they definitely pivoted a bunch of times. Another one that comes to mind is Hank’s introduction, his role was originally just going to be included with Saul
Yeah I heard them speak about it in season 5 with the opener, then they had to work out what to do to get there.
Damn Pudgy, you almost made me cry. As a childhood cancer survivor and suicide survivor, you hit it right on nose. Hardest part about it all, is once you come to terms with dying, the pain of living is a constant struggle. The thoughts of if only I didn't make it off that table or if I had just died when I was younger my life would at least have some joy left. That moving forwards afterwards is hard because things that is "supposed" to bring you joy doesn't. The whole world is numbing and the only thing you do feel is disgust for the state of injustices and the pain of other people struggling just to live. That we're reduced to having to find joy in something small as "being able to pay off my car, I'm so blessed." It's a disturbing feeling when they reduce this life to these material things overcoming problems humans impose on each other. You're only struggling to pay your bills because it us who force you and majority of people to suffer this way. It's like realizing the real Hell is living in this world. There are good parts too but they are rare. You have to ignore the truth for the world and be willifully ignorant of the world just find a moment of joy. That's terrible thing to realize that the "ignorance is bliss" is also why so many people suffer, out of other's ignorance to their suffering. Sorry for the rant... But you definitely spoke to the feeling of survivors guilt.
I hope you're doing better.
@@Mike90317 thank you. I'm hanging on you know. It was just a relatable moment.
I think Walt was angry at the end because he no longer has an excuse to continue cooking and he's grown to love the rush of doing it.
For me personally, I see it more like his exit strategy failing and now he has to live with the bad things he's done.
What motivated walter was make money to his family when he died. He discovered he isn’t going to die soon. So he whole motivated was gone. He done a lot bad things, killed people. All because he gone die anyway and need to leave money
Imo Walt was content with the memory he might leave behind, his family receiving a huge payout and their final memory of him being a provider and a man for them. When he realized he may go on living, the stress of being caught and the possibility of losing all his money and instead leaving behind a memory of being a criminal drug manufacturer and liar means it would all not only be for nothing, but his reputation would be tarnished forever. In the end, it is important to understand that, for all his good qualities, Walt is deep down an extremely egotistical and proud man.
I thought the same thing
I think you guys are all on to it. All these things are probably a factor.
This episode is actually Aaron Paul's (Jesse's character) favourite episode and it's definitely one of my faves aswell. Very underrated imo.
In a rarity in this business, Aaron LOVED working with Bryan. He got to spend so much time with him making this ep. I imagine that's one of the reasons why.
1.) manvirshellgill: thanks for telling me that! I never knew that! and 2.) thatllputmarzipaninyourpie: Actors enjoying working together is not a rarity in acting. Who told you that? Film (and theatre) is a collaborative art. Sometimes people don't get along, absolutely, but more often than not, they do. Being cool, chill and able to work well with others is practically a requirement to keep working in show biz, with only the very talented (and marketable) sometimes getting a pass. And even then, it's no guarantee: ask Brando. Ask Vincent Gallo. Ask Peter Sellers.
I love this episode!! This one and “gray matter” are so underrated!
@@darkstar3116 the character of Jesse is played by Aaron Paul, anyone with a brain cell knows what I mean.
This is the episode that really turns BB from good to great, every single episode from here on out is an absolute banger
Never Leave the key in the ignition...lesson learned. And Walters Tumor Shrunk by 80%!?!

That "EACH!?" reaction has a lot of meme/GIF potential lmao!
Pudgey is so smart!! She picks up on things I never even noticed.
Fantastic reactor. Smart, emotional, with a great sense of humor, those are the three key ingredients I need for a "perfect" reaction channel.
P.S. Not that Spartan is any less of a reactor! They're a great team and I'd watch either if they had their own channels.
@@TTM9691 Exactly, they both add their own personalities to the channel. Pudgey is definitely a smarter reader of the shows/movies they watch. She picks up on things that even I've missed after several rewatches. Whereas Spartan is more relatable for me.
Supposedly Aaron Paul ad-libbed the "a robot?" line. Brilliant.
Actually I think the story is that it was one of the "lesser" members of the crew (like the guy who holds the boom mic or something) who suggested he should say that. I saw some interview or commentary with Vince Gilligan where he talks about it in relation to how the making of the show was a collaborative process and that there aren't actually any "lesser" parts of the crew.
I'm loving these almost daily uploads of Breaking Bad. Many other channels take too long to give us each episode. Pudgey is hilarious. 😂
They still take to long they should upload hourly since it’s an hourly show that is 100% available to them
@@devinruiz2164you should whine hourly since whining is a free action that is 100% available to you.
The distorted reflex of Walter's face in the end is amazing. He sees a monster in that reflection...
The punching was unleashing his built up emotions
my favorite part to watch reactions in this episode is when Jesse says "ohhhhh wire!" LMFAO
You guys are in for a treat. Puge will cry, Spartan will say "WTF!?" All of us will be on the edge of our seats as a 2nd cherry popper. XD Thanks guys, love your reactions.
Jessie isn't the dullest knife in the draw. He's the spoon...
Great job figuring out why Walt punched the paper towel dispenser, Pudgy! Most reactors don’t figure it out, especially not that fast.😄
I think at the end of the episode, Walt was ready to be done with his life. He didn't want to lie anymore, he didn't want to make meth anymore, he just didn't want to deal with his problems anymore. Now he's being told he has quite a while left to live, but he just sees that as a burden - now he has to keep working on the business and make sure his family gets that money, and he's pissed about that.
Also his reflection in that final shot is kinda cool, the twisted distorted image of Walt in the dented metal.
The whole "building a robot" to save them had me rofl
I knew you two were gonna love this episode. Jesse's exuberant cheerleading for "Mr. White: Science Genius" is probably my favorite through-line of the entire series.
Easily the most fun rewatchable episode of the series
Omg i LOOOVE this episode so much, it's just so enjoyable and funny to watch. My fav moments are Walter being so sarcastic towards Jessie and Jessie being like "a rObOt?" or "yeaaah wire"
Man I am rexperiencing BB along the way and the show is so good
I love how Pudgey's no is translated as 'gnar' in the automatic subtitles 😂😂
I think Walt punching the thing in the bathroom was about him realizing his reason to cook meth has stopped. His reason to do it was because he was going to die soon and he didn’t want to leave his family with a bunch of dept. now, he has no reason to cook anymore meth and now he also maybe feels that he literally killed people for no reason now.
"... a robot?" always cracks me up
Oh my god, this is my favorite B.B. reaction you've done yet! I often skip this episode for some reason when reactors do B.B., but because I'm watching all yours and not skipping any, I have to say you guys made me appreciate this episode like never before, other than when I myself first saw it! I forgot how funny it is! Whenever you guys laugh, I feel like it's a little "score" for Breaking Bad, hahahaha. And this video was like wall to wall laughs. GREAT post-episode discussion. Both of you guys made great points, and fascinating to see where you think the show is going! I want to high-five both of you right now like Walter and Jesse! Put me in a good mood!
These two are perfect for each other. One is right 90% of the time and the other is right 10% lol
Looool that discussion at the end with their theories😭😭😭😭😭😭
drink every time you hear "oh sheeeet"
exactly about making an amazing episode of just being stuck in the RV. its just so perfectly written, this team could've made watching paint dry the most interesting show ever.
“Ahhhhh…. Wire!” 😅 still kills me
When I heard Walter say the word “Each” I had the exact same reaction
Great reactions as always! If one comment the volume it’s bit low for the show it’s hard to hear not sure if others are experiencing the same.
2 more episodes til everything changes. Can't wait for these 2 to get there. Pudgey is just such a joy to watch- cutest thing ever- with that accent! Drives me nuts (in a good way). Spartan- such a cool name. Spartan and Pudgey should be the name of your own detective series.
It's anger for the fact that he has to live with all the terrible things he has done so far
If only buzzer that usually buzzes buzzed, hot damn
Aah, what a pleasant surprise waiting me at home. Soon the food will be ready and I'm ready to watch!
I LOVE THE DRAMA in this episode!
Spartan: WHAT?!?
Pudgey: WHAT?!?!
LOVE you guys!
I had forgotten how GOOD the soundtrack is
I remember reading about a cancer patient who was in the worse condition, doctors told him maybe 2 weeks at most…he got a 2nd mortgage, got loans from so many banks, maxed out credit cards and got millions into debt and had a great time in Las Vagas…this guy ended up living and ended up suing the doctor and won
I think this is the best episode up until this point (although so many greater ones to come). We now have a VERY deeply established dynamic and relationship at the core of the show, and Walt's health turnaround. It's now the perfect time to start to introduce the real conflict.
Fasten your seat belts.
Yeah, no.
I haven't seen any other reactors who have been able to explain Walters reaction at the end as well as you
Oh boy, get ready it's going to get better after this season
Spartan I got your back homie! I understood what you were saying about how it alk might end. 😊
I’d like to think Jesse is living is best life Building ROBOTS 🤖 somewhere out there after all these years😂
the talk about the cartel in the last episode is genius you will understand it when you watch better call saul
13:31 the moment pudgy and spartan start cooking meth lmao
One of my favorite quotes from the show is “Aaaaahhh wireee”
The way she says I know 😂 “I KNRROOWW” kinda hot
ahhh wire.... had me on the floor rolling lol
those dogs at the airport must have gone wild with that stinking meth lab on wheels outside. their scent is top level.
Still annoyed we didn't get a robot.
Imagine how Walt feels. If not from cancer, Walt was sure that he was going to die of dehydration. He had fully accepted his death by one of two means. Now somehow, he survived both, and he doesn’t know how he’s going to deal with what will come.
1:55 “It could be a tie-in with one of his clients”
And THAT my friends is why you both need to watch Better Call Saul at the end of this journey! 😊
Man says "We're pregnant!" Women: "WE?"
Man gets cancer. Women: "The wife is going through this too..."
Yes he spoke SPANISH not MEXICAN lol. But I think Walt was mad at the end because earlier when Skyler said he should prepare for life. Don't think he did. He was set on doing anything he had too (including murder) so he can make money before he dies. Now he doesn't have that excuse he has to live with what he's done. Also he looks like a monster in the reflection of the smashed paper towel dispenser.
when wrapping up this series you guys should react to your predictions of the ending hahah
21:31 I wanted a robot too! hahahaha
Could you please turn up The volume on The BB clips? They are so silent in comparrison to you guys
Since you are predicting, try to think of the happy family scene more, because we have a LONG road ahead to go through.
By law in the US (HIPAA-Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act), imaging technicians are not allowed to speak to patients about what they see in the images because they aren’t physicians and do not have the credentials or knowledge to thoroughly assess what they’re seeing. For example, a few years ago, I had to have an ultrasound after feeling what felt like a large mass in my lower abdomen. I’m sure the ultrasound tech saw the 15cm mass in my in my lower abdomen, but he had no way of knowing the type or cause of it, so it would be irresponsible to share that with me.
Since technicians aren’t qualified to make a diagnosis, telling the patient what they see without any explanation as to what it could be would only serve to scare and worry the patient for hours or days before their tests are evaluated and explained in detail by their doctor who can then give the patient a plan of action.
babys gonna be ready soon 😭
As William Faulkner said, "The only thing worth writing about is the human heart in conflict with itself".
The last scene is the embodiment of that quote. Walt has lost his excuse to cook, which is what was making him feel powerful and "alive". He's been given news that he'll likely live longer, but it'll be as it was before he took on his Heisenberg persona, bland and boring. That conflict is the center of th show.
Skyler said "Are you prepared to live?' He wasn't.
I really like BCS, but the level of emotions in BB is on another level.
Walter does not know what to do with the information. Both of you are correct. He has been working towards something and now what???? I love the bonding with Jesse despite all their arguments. Jesse is really a kind person despite living a criminal life - but he does care about people.
Yeah, Walters like, I did all this horrible shit because I was gonna die, now I'm getting better!? Wtf was it for?!
Each! Naur! 😆
Trust me rn what y’all thinking the ending will take a u turn the whole series is😭
Do you have daylight saving time in Australia? I only ask because I've noticed that your videos are uploaded earlier during the day for me, when they used to be uploaded an hour later.
Yea daylight savings started oct 1st here
@@dinochookproductions5190 That explains it. Thank you.
He did all of this thinking he wouldn't have to live with it for very long.
Why is Walter mad in the end?
He no longer has an excuse.
The fact that both of them already have ideas/theories of how the show is going to end is kinda cute...man man man, let me tell you, you two have NO IDEA yet :D
Lol probably my favorite episode of the series
What the HAAAAAAL
All of us who've watched the whole series, while the two of you are speculating about how it will all end: 🤐🤐🤐
EACH!
Think about it, every teacher would appreciate it if his students would deal with art. What Walter shows most of all in his dealings with Jessie is that he sees absolutely nothing in him. He only needs it for his goals and to stroke his ego. At school as a teacher, he gets no respect from his students, no one who admires his skills, nothing. He gets this from Jessie by keeping him small and manipulating him as he needs to. Walter is an unsuccessful little man who exploits insecure, weaker people in character in order to feel great about himself. Walter always wants to be the boss in this relationship, but doesn't act like one. He assumes no responsibility. As a boss, you don't just give instructions and always know everything better afterwards if something has gone wrong. He's chosen Jessie, so he's also responsible if he expects him to look up to him. If Jessie makes mistakes, it's Walter's failure.
Btw. I think the fan in the car used more battery than the key in the ignition. That was a bit strange.
Pudgey was spot on about why Walter reacted that way at the end😊
fire drop
26:38
I love reaction channels because it’s the closest one can get to watching something for the first time again
I thought part of his anger at the end was bc he now is in the drug business and that’s not something he can just walk away from 29:53
It’s because he doesn’t WANT to walk away from it, it’s the only thing making him feel alive.
Pudgy, that color is stunning on you!!!
I really like your reactions but i have a feeling she knows the series or atleast the key crucial parts already 😉😉 watched it back then when Season 4 aired.
I'm pretty sure he was upset because he lost his out.
Hey, wire is made from copper.. give Jesse a break!
Hope you look back at your predictions from today when you get to the end, to see if you guessed right or not.
Jesse gets a happy ending? are these guys clairvoyant?
