After a Traumatic Hand Injury, Slade Thompson, is treated by OrthoGeorgia's Collaborative Hand Team

Hunter and weightlifter, Slade Thompson, suffered a traumatic hand injury while sighting his gun in with his father.
OrthoGeorgia’s Hand & Upper Extremity Specialist, Maharsh Patel, MD, was on call and surgically repaired what was left of Slade’s thumb, index and middle finger. Following a successful surgery, rehab with OrthoGeorgia Occupational Therapist, Lori Gilbert, OTR/L, CHT was a vital element of Slade's recovery.
Thanks to Slade’s amazingly positive attitude, the support of his family, and the collaboration of Dr. Patel’s surgical skills and Lori’s therapy and empathy, Slade is back to being able to do what he loves to do.
