Absolutely. Welch got banged up in the middle of the year but he was absolutely the most exciting back to watch. He breaks tackles and had really good vision for a freshman
Can you guys pull together a pictorial for the projected starting offense and defense for 2025 CU Buffs? It would be nice conversation. You could discuss 1s vs 1s at CU to discuss who the projected ballers might be. I would also suggest doing a PODCAST on their 2025 schedule matchups with returning starters and portal additions by team.
In 2025 I'd like to see the DB coach focus more on sounder tackling techniques from the CBs and Safeties. No more knock out hit tackling. That is poor form and lends to big plays given up. I saw Shilo Sanders do too much of this and didn't improve in tackling in 2024. The LB play and takling was improved in 2024.
You guys absolutely don't know what the hell y'all are talking about and haven't been following who has came in. Steaton will be the only returning lineman playing. Did you forget they gave up over 40 sacks again. Maybe Cash too
I agree with you 1000000%... No way in he!! T.Brown starts or plays if these new guys are decent. I would start CASH over Brown at Guard 100/10 times.... If Cash loses his center spot.
Listen. Tyler brown was bad at RT & Guard.. cash did okay but he was getting pushed back and couldn’t move nothing on run plays. It’s a reason why he was a walk on. Phillip Houston ain’t starting for sh*t being a 260 pound RT getting bull rush and letting people fly by him on the edge. Harden not starting either. Illinois Guard going to start, Louisiana tech center going to start and Texas A&M dude going to start, all of them are bigger then our previous line from last year.
Let's talk about the TE Skillset CU needs in 2025 as they prioritize being able to run the ball more in 2025. What is the TE depth and strengths and weaknesses by player??? Cover this on the next podcast please.
Let's also tee up what Pat Shurmur does different with offensive sets/plays to take advantage of what Salter did well at LU. This will be a lot differrent that what was done in '23 and '24 with Shadeurs' skillset. Salter and JuJu bring more athleticism to the QB room. The OLine will need to also be able to improve downfield blocking on RPOs.
No decent Olineman other than Seaton. Tyler Brown as good of a story as he was...is not a quality oljneman. As strong as he was...he literally got beat like a drum all year.
They had him playing out of position. Tyler Brown is not a tackle. He should’ve never been playing tackle. It’s like with what they did with Kahlil Benson last year. Kahlil Benson is not a guard, and should’ve never been playing guard.
@JohnJones-m8s when he was playing guard he wasnt doing shit either. Cmon bruh. He and alot of the other oline guys that were brought in were all talk and hype
I’m so confused on the Kaiden Salter production because his stats not matching. I understand everybody saying he’s athletic because he runs. But I find that quarterbacks who like to run a lot are usually not accurate passers. Julian can escape the pocket and his accuracy is top level. I can’t see him sitting on the bench the whole season. It may be a learning curve but I see it being short for him.
Salter is a really good qb you can’t go off the stats with the 2024 season because liberty didn’t really have a good team this season compared to the 2023 team they had but i think Salter is the for sure starter because he is going to open up the run game with him and the running backs and with the receiving core the buffs have he is going to go back to the 2023 passing stats he had imo
Learning curve for true freshman QBs can be a lot. Just look around the ncaa, it’s not many examples of very successful freshman QBs. I think it’s wiser to let Juju sit the whole year. Salter is actually a good QB, sometimes we get caught up in high school hype which is completely different than a proven QB at the college level.
If you watch his highlights Salter has better Accuracy than Juju as of right now and he’s more athletic. There’s no replication for experience. Even if Juju was more talented he’d be 10x more prone to mistakes at the collegiate level than a 3 years starter in Salter
I knew once you all started questioning Shedeur leadership that this was going downhill. Especially when you are comparing it to Kaidon Salter. WTF are you all talking about?
Lastly let's discuss what changes CU needs to make in order to compete better with ASU, Kansas and BYU. Teams with bigger players and big running back schemes.
CU can compete with ASU, KSU, Kansas, and BYU. Now that the Sanders boys and Travis are gone, Prime can focus on the whole team and not just his favorites.
O Miller is wr1. Period. With that said, the entire wideout room is explosive. The QB is going to determine how lethal they will be. If its the Liberty guy, then he is going to run and take catches away. If its JuJuz and he is effective, there is going to be a pi ball effect with all the stats lighting up. The run game will continue to suck if Pat only runs the ball up the middle. He is antiquated and unimaginative. No motuon, no bouncing to the outside, underutilized passes for slot receivers and backs outbthe backfield. If Pat sucks, the offense will suck. And he was bad lad year.
Trevor Lawrence led Clemson to the national title as a true freshman, Jalen Hurts was SEC freshman of the year at alabama & if not for a last minute TD drive would’ve won the Natty as a freshman, & then you’ve had guys who took over mid season like Caleb williams ,DJ lagway, Lamar Jackson & i think Sam Ehlinger but i would benefit JuJu to sit & learn & also let the roster build up some more 👍🏾
Philip Houston will not be starting next year. He tore his ACL at the end of the season and will be going to rehab during spring ball. Carde Smith just might take it.
Yeah this video wasn’t close maybe half of your group will be right I think you guys are sleeping on guys coming back or are a year in the program like kam Mikel Welch is better suited to be starter and wide online is gonna be at least two new starters Houston is not gonna start at rt sorry
For some reason, I think K Salter’s output may be way more than Shadeur’s this year. Shadeur seemed so predictable and Travis and Lajohntay saved him so many times last year.
@DDB5 there is a lot of quality wide receivers coming to CU and there is a lot of quality players already on the team. And O is the top WR on the team right now he had two games with a 198 yards. He definitely the number one receiver on the team right now.
@@chrisa3249 we are not talking about O.Miller you said Kam Mikell lol stop trying to switch the topic that’s what females do J.Williams will be either number 1 or number 2 we don’t know who will be Kaidon Salter number 1 guy it might even be Quentin Gibson.
I don't know what you been smokin, but to even consider Houston, Tyler Brown, and Cash Cleveland even on the team, let alone starting. Please watch the games, these guys were terrible. And Seaton was always getting beat. We need a all new line. I know Coach Phil is happy to be gone. He cussed them out every chance he had. The Oline is TRASH!
This is ridiculous, why would JuJu sit on the bench?, while an inferior player plays. JuJu will be starting, and Salter will come off the bench, or hit the portal.
I get it juju was a 5 star that drop to a 4star when he reclassified but you don’t know ball if you are saying a QB that threw for 3500 yards & rush for 1,000 yards in the same season while taking his team to a undefeated record before losing to Oregon is inferior!! He was a Top 5 QB in the portal. I get it, you like juju but it doesn’t make sense to start a 17 year old freshman when you have a dynamic QB in for one season to build the gap so juju can get ready for his redshirt freshman season.. P4 programs don’t start freshman QB’s unless you are Nebraska who literally didn’t have any good QB on their roster to compete for the starting Job
Salter is what’s called a “bridge QB”. Do you think Alex Smith is a better player than Patrick Mahomes? Pat Mahomes was in that position his first year… because he had to adjust to the speed of the NFL. Same situation, albeit this is college. The speed of college ball is very different from high school. Even the best high school football is nowhere near as fast as college ball. Salter is already used to the speed of college ball. Juju is 17 years old, it will take time for him to settle in. If they threw Juju out there too soon, it would quite possibly be disastrous for his development.
@JohnJones-m8s I understand the bridge plan, I just don't it will work in Colorado. Experts and Scouts , who have seen JuJu in person, say he is as ready, as he will be. Reports are JuJu is extremely intelligent, with a very high IQ, which means he will pick up faster, than the average quarterback. JuJu is already bigger than Salter, financially, and any other way. I'm concerned that once JuJu wins the job, Salter might diss the program, on the way to the portal, or going to get a job. Reports are Salter , was not well liked at Liberty, and may be a cancer , in the locker room. Colorado may have made a mistake , in bringing him in.
Is the going to project Starters with Deion???? My question is who is going to be the project starter without Deion??? There are going to be a lot of players to transfer.
Gibson will be a return specialist BEAST at CU. He can also take off the lid of the defense.
Wr Williams, Omarion miller, drelon miller, Kam Mikel- Rb Micah Welch .. OL Seaton, Everything else up for grabs
I agree with this list except the RB position I think “Micah Welch” will be the starting RB.
I agree
Absolutely. Welch got banged up in the middle of the year but he was absolutely the most exciting back to watch. He breaks tackles and had really good vision for a freshman
Agustave is the best back on the team
don’t sleep on hood either! I hope he get PT this upcoming szn that boy got speed
I love the "Miller Time" in Colorado monicker. 😄
Both of these guys will be ballers in 2025.

First & Last time watching this channel. These guys are clueless
Colorado needs a bigg RB😊😊😊 that RUNS MEAN!!!!
OK guys thank u
Jalen Daniel’s was a true freshman starter at ASU!
Welch should get the ball a lot, maybe starter.

Dylan Ryola came in and did well. He was serviceable
Nebraska also didn’t have a viable other option.
@@JohnJones-m8sColorado doesn't either.
Nebraska was 6-6 for the regular season with Ryola at QB. CU can be 10-2 up to 12-0 with Salter.
@jivetalk1045 They could be 10-2 with JuJu on the field, Salter may not see any playing time, or may hit the portal in the spring, or go get a job.
