Great timing on sharing this! The 2024 Chicago Marathon is my first one, so I appreciate getting the inside look at last year few days before the race!
I ran Chicago '24, and while I didn't have the day I wanted, the week I spent in the city was FABULOUS! I will definitely being running Chicago again in the future for redemption. But my 2025 dance card is already full. Can't recommend Chicago enough to anyone wanting to do it. I also purchased the Skyline Hospitality tent tickets for me and my spouse (non-runner), and while expensive...was worth every penny. I had never run in a big marathon before, so was concerned about facilities for me and my spouse. And when I saw what I had to work with, versus what the average runner had to work with...wow...I had zero wait for security, zero wait for bathroom, zero wait for check bag drop off OR pick-up. Free breakfast/lunch, drinks (even alcohol!). Those poor souls in the regular waiting area......eeep.
Hey Tim. I'm really glad you had a great time. I've thought about the Skyline Hospitality tent. Sounds like it's worth the money. I'm planning to be there in 2025. Hopefully I will see you there.... if I can keep injuries under control. Have a great weekend.
Salute to Tim! Putting in the work! Congratulations and thank you
