I go with my son.. We can rent golf carts and drive around a huge one... Can spend hours out there just looking around. Half the time i buy stuff i dont need... LOL
Hopefully you read this something to consider! I’m a big GM guy and I’ve spent a lot of time in the junkyards pull yards in the yards that run the vehicle through computer to verify its compatibility with other years and what I found is GM continually has certain years especially trucks that things like transmissions don’t enter change from year to year for instants my 93 GMC extended cab will only interchange with a 94 and 93 years transmission I also had 2002S 10 blazer two door 2 Wheel Dr. and found out that 2002S tens and blazers had European wiring system making the 2002 4.3 engine only interchangeable with 2002 and I had 2001 Grand Prix GT in that year is only a 2001 transmission so keep that in mind when you’re looking for motor and transmissions for GM trucks! Also one thing to consider when you’re pulling out an old radio cut the wires with the plug then you can go home and use a 12 V jump pack and some old speakers and test to see if it works
Bro! I go here every time I visit my grandfather in PA and we look for stuff for our projects. Its definitely massive. I've always thought about filming it but didn't think people would watch lol glad you are getting people to see this stuff. If you come across a yellow ZR5 s10 I took the side steps off =P edit: i think I see it at 18:09
Watching your junk yard videos, got me all hyped up. I went this morning to the LQK in fort Lauderdale FL. To get a few bs things for my 02 Yukon denali. Had a great time looking around..😎 thanks for your videos..👍🏽💯 P.s my first car was a 1995 Saturn SL. That was a great little car..
Matt, you kept saying Pre 04 models were different...well 2003 was when they switched the interiors so 03-06 will be the same for any of those years. The 99-02 was the different one. I got used to that first with my 01 YXL, I always found 03-06 trucks at my junkyards. I ended up swapping the 03-06 center console into my 01 because I liked the style better and it honestly fit perfect with no modifications. I tried to swap an 03-06 radio into it because they are much nicer looking than the older ones but it wouldn't work because of the canbus and the rds in the radios. We tried for ages to get it to work. I even have a OEM Bose nav unit from a Denali xl sitting in my parts closet. I would swap it into my 04 Burb but I don't have a way to program the unit to work in my truck
Suburban’s have the longer speaker box. Tahoe’s are shorter, and I believe the Denali and Escalade have the upgraded Bose acoustic box. And I think it’s either pre 03 or 04s, newer ones have the sub under the front console. Are you thinking about adding one in the tahoe?
If you see a working transfer case shifter for a 90's f150 grab it! The real things sell for 200 working. I need one for my truck, but they're always gone.
FYI Those Saturn s-series leather steering wheels usually go for $50, BTW if you can keep a eye out for 91-96 Saturn coupe, one with a sunroof as well please let me know!
Klinger's in Pine Grove would blow your mind when it comes to old stuff. Back in the day I dragged a Monte SS CZ code 2004R from the bottom of EZ Pull to throw into my first T-Type in the winter, so I know how harsh that incline is. What's the gig with the T/A trans? I have a RWD 4L80 on the back of this LQ4 in the garage sitting feet away from my complete (pedals and all) T-56 swap from a 96 Z-28 that I was going to throw in my black IROC. I picked up that you wanted to go "budget sleeper" with it, maybe? My favorite out of all the 3rd gens I've owned was my '88 IROC with a TH-350 swap because it didn't hold the car back like the 700 would and everybody that lost to it thought it was a totally stock car. I had a guy follow me for miles in a tuned Mini Cooper S that said, "These usually fall on their face and I pass them easily, what's done to it?" "Nothing, it's a stock 305". It was actually a harness hacked (eek) L98 car that had a carb'd RV 350 with a .425 "towing" cam tossed in after the Lingenfelter injected/LT4 cammed nitrous L98 blew up running 12's and he just wanted to drive it then sell it. I beat the shit out of that car until the 9 bolt refused to play my games any longer. Then I either traded it for a 250R or to get my Tecate back, but I'd look into a TH350 swap for cheap fun as they are plentiful and affordable even when built. Trust me, if it was easier to do in my 4th gen after rebuiilding "throw your money at it 4L60's" that "professional" shops did? It'd be done just for that bastard of a 2-3 shift. I have tried trans-go's "Hi-Rev" mod in the HD2C kit (here's an option in the ways to YOLO) and the plug in the servo housing (that's what shatters the front housing because the band stays engaged too long when you lose the cushion of the check capsule). If you are going auto... that tourque arm mount kit is easy to do and you could use a junkyard driveshaft and the speedo is cable driven.
That early 60s gm panel van next to the hearse in the thumbnail would make a bad ass rat rod shop van. Don't even gotta touch the paint. That age to er gives er a sweet patina.
I wish that ‘64-66 long wheelbase panel truck next to the meat wagon wasn’t so far gone. I have a couple short wheel base C10 panel trucks, but the C30 panel trucks are hard to find.
hey man love your channel i love walkin junkyards but im gettin old 70 now my brother and i use to do it all the time keep an eye for c4 corvette stuff im doing a 95 so 94/95/96 i can use need a console plate now i would buy and pay shipping if you find a good one keep it up it makes my day in this bad weather
I had that same 5 band EQ radio in my 88 IROC-Z and it sounded great. I pulled it out to put in an alpine CD deck and I put that 5 band EQ radio in my late mom's 91 Grand Am. In her car it sounded way better b/c of the trunk enclosure. It went loud and sounded clean. I think they are rated at 100 watts. When you go back see if you can get me those black plastic inserts that go under the rear hatch sill plate on the tahoes and other SUV's of the same style. I'll pay you, I just can't find any here in California.
Are you looking to put a 4l80e in the tahoe? and if you do would you pleaaaase make a video covering it? Already had to get my 4l60e rebuilt and i don't trust it to last. Shifts are a bit random on the firmness, but with a 4l80e I could feel positive about adding power mods.
Parts wise, you can actually use 03-06. You should look for a 2500 or Esky cluster. They have a built in trans gauge that's usually PnP. Find anymore PPV center caps? I'd gladly pay you to grab them 👍🏻
@@lsxmatt there was a set on that ppv you grabbed the brakes from--you know, if you ever go back 😁. Also, the sub boxes from the burbs and XL's won't fit in the Tahoes. They take 8" subs tho. Thx Matt.
I've been trying to look as you walk around if there are any rust free 99 Tahoe front doors, Did you happen to notice ? The 3500 GMC vans had the 4l80's in them too
I have a PERFECT ZERO RUST K5 If you are interested. I got it fro Rutledge Wood and it was featured on the History Channel. Message me if youre seriously interested in one. Very Nice resto on it and I never had Rust. I was originally a Ranger truck out west. It was also featured on Top Gear before it was restored. So it has some fun history to it.
I actually hate going to that junkyard anymore lol.. Its probably an hours drive west for me but id take the hour and 50 minute drive to a harry u-pull it lot over this yard... They need to update their system to be able to print out slips like harrys has where it will tell you if they have the vehicle and what row it would be in... They have no organization at that lot at all, ive been going there ever since i was 16 but now that ive went to harrys I pick them over. (about 5yrs of going to new ringgold btw)... I actually have an 06 chevy tahoe I use to get parts for there, about a year back they had a newer (07-14) escalade but im suprised they had that cat eye silverado usually the older 2000s trucks. Was just there about two weeks ago and saw the cat eye when it still had the grille
I'd love that radio for my 89 Iroc! Recently bought one but it didn't work so the hunt continues. Let me know if your interested in selling for another Camaro.
I’ve got a dark blue 2007 Chevy Tahoe. I need the two rear panels next to the rear door and the upper rear brake light panel. I’ve got the clear coat destroyed and need to replace them. Any ideas?
Dude there's a few late 60s hearses and mid sixties family limos in that yard. Also a pretty nice looking 65 convertible. Plenty of old stuff at the bottom of the hill
As an employee of a junkyard, seeing this yard really irritates me with how its laid out and just how absolutely messy it is. No pride in the trade. These yards really can look good with the right organization and work plan despite being a junk yard. Just bc its a junk yard doesn't mean the yard has to fit the name. Smh.
im looking for a 01 sierra steering wheel and front passenger black textured exterior door handle WITHOUT the key hole, if this comment doesn't get lost and you happen to see one and if you dont mind letting me know that would be amazing, thanks in advanced bro
i need a steering wheel from this video with switches and the wiring harness from the steering wheel into the dash and a cd changer and harness for my bose system
up to 87 they had a larger plug. 88 and up they went to the smaller 21 pin plug I believe. GM used to sell and adapter harness to make it work that also included an antenna adapter for the smaller banana plug. I'm sure you can still find them on Ebay, but they will want top dollar. I still have one adapter and one of those radios up in my attic b/c one day I'll get another IROC.

Tow Hooks 1999-13 Chevy Silverado 1999-13 GMC Sierra 2000-06 Tahoe, Suburban 2000-06 Yukon, Yukon XL

I have around 50gb's of footage for this place, so part 2 will be out in a few days! A lot of cool stuff at this yard, I didn't want to cut much out.
LsxMatt I would pay you for a good dash pad for a first gen Dakota. The color is not a big deal.
LsxMatt I would pay for a Escalade ext dash cluster and air shocks
Grab the fiero seats, those cores are gold
Where are you located any where close to Ohio
Tom S I think he’s in New York. Nice to see another Ohioan around!
Love these junkyard vids. I can spend hours looking through a good yard.
Who doesn't lol? Love junkyards!!

These are great vids! You are the Josh Gates of Junk Yards!
Keep the junk yard video coming i really enjoy them. Great work. 👍
i can't believe in over 20 minutes into "a guy walking through a junkyard". Matt's like the Steve Magnante of the 90s
Love the junkyard tours. Concrete blocks were an interesting trick!

I remember going to our salvage yard and every 99-07 classic gm SUVs and trucks, I pocketed all the fuses 😂 Idk why tho, but I like fuses
I wish that ‘64-66 long wheelbase panel truck next to the meat wagon wasn’t so far gone. I have a couple short wheel base C10 panel trucks, but the C30 panel trucks are hard to find.
I was there back in January and shot some video of the old section. I see not much has changed.
Been there this winter, pulled a 1988 eureka flower car out of there. I knew that hearse as soon as I saw it
If that little TV would of turned on I would of been out of that junk yard faster then I came in and would never go back there again 🤣🤣🤣🤣
Blue Fiero is rare, didn't make too many..4400 , one was just lost in the Michigan dam collapse.
Miller Lite delivery boxes!!! Screenshot for a friend haha
i go to this yard all the time they have another yard in myerstown called Grebels ez pull
Grebles is mi h cleaner but smaller.
If I can find me a decent driver seat for my Z71 I'll be a happy man... Y'all have nice yards.

that is a huge yard it sure would be fun to walk around in there.....

I had a k5 87 super clean no rust. I traded it for a newer suburban. I miss that truck it was a beast. But I needed a better vehicle

If you run across a good first gen Dakota dash pad I would be very interested in it. I’m in Texas and everything I find is sun baked and cracked.
Check out Greble U-Pull-It in Myerstown. It’s the ‘sister’ yard to EZ Pull, same pricing.
You can also check the HD express vans for an 80e if no luck with the trucks.
If you see a Jeep Liberty grab the rack& pinion bellows part stores don’t sell them. Probably make $ on eBay
I've been trying to look as you walk around if there are any rust free 99 Tahoe front doors, Did you happen to notice ? The 3500 GMC vans had the 4l80's in them too
3 Corvair vans in the same yard? Holy smokes.
wish we had that many 4x4s in oklahoma always 2wd trucks and no manuals either

I love too get some of those door panels out of the base model Silverados and Sierras (99-02) can't any around me
Get your self a gauge cluster from an 03 to 06 escalade. Also get the steering wheel if you find one
Also the escalade rear glass and Pilar covers looks nice on a tahoe/suburban
Im looking for second row captain chairs so ill be checking this place out soon
You have to go to dees upullit! It’s in Scranton pa killer yard!
Matt, is it possible to make the steering wheels with the buttons function on older model trucks??
Great video 👍🏼 just picked up a 2005 suburban and I might look though a junkyard, rather than buying parts
I'd love that radio for my 89 Iroc! Recently bought one but it didn't work so the hunt continues. Let me know if your interested in selling for another Camaro.
Will do👍
3:46 is that a pee bottle on the floor? Gross...
not a junkyard in the world where you wont find a pee bottle lol

If you still have the gen 3 radio you took out of the S10 truck I would like to buy it from you
I have a 2003 chevy tahoe I'm parting out. What you need?
Am i the only one who thought it was creepy how a crow started cawing right as he went into the back of the hurse?
are you selling the Ac controls to the Tahoe the one you got on you're last video?
Next time around you need to check out grebles u pull it. Its ezpulls sister lot in myerstown
Is the TV plugged into anything cuz if it isn't obviously won't turn on
You would have to swap the output shaft on the 4wd trans to 2wd as well as the tail housing.
I have a 04 Yukon Have u ran into any beige cargo covers in any junkyards , I’ve been looking for months
Grab a clock spring harness, I want to convert my steering wheel into one with buttons. I would definitely buy it from you!
The crow seemed to be pissed when you stuck your head in the Hurst
They have a lot of tahoes at harrys?
What a trans and manual transfer case go for over there for a 01 Silverado 2500 there like 1000-1500 for both in Oregon
I was wondering if you could put in a 2003 steering wheel in a 2001 Chevy Tahoe
wow! was there any other cadillac ambulances or hearses there other than that one black one? also saw that sweet caddy limo, what a yard!
Dude there's a few late 60s hearses and mid sixties family limos in that yard. Also a pretty nice looking 65 convertible. Plenty of old stuff at the bottom of the hill
Were all Fiero's have iron blocks or was their other Pontiac's that had aluminum blocks that could fit a Fiero?
All fieros had iron block engine's. 👍
It's not pre 04 it's pre 03 03 they changed from the 100 mph speedo to the 120 they changer the fuel and oil pressure gauge and all the other stuff
i think the 80e nees the output shaft swapped to go from 4wd to 2wd and the housing
If you see them old 99 yukon tahoes. With nice seats show it on camera. So I could get it.
I need a grey cargo shade for a 01 tahoe if u find one. The smaller NOT the 66" long one

are you going to make a video where you mount everything you buy from the ruined tahoes?
Eventually when I get around to installing them. I’m planning on making a video testing everything out soon.
i got a steering wheel from the junk yard for my avalanche a while back
Excellent video👍🏻 But what is obs trucks??
Thanks. OBS- Old body style

Why in the hell would they put the front ends up like that... Normally i dont bring a ladder to a pick

Very cheap, i believe they have a price list on the website. Probably 20 bucks or less
