We made it to Erlebnis Tripsdrill - Germany's OLDEST Amusement/Theme Park. It is absolutely FULL of charm and we loved every minute of it! What's your FAVORITE ride or memory here at this local German park?
The "Hals über Kopf"-Coaster is themed to the story / fairy tale of the 7 Swabians who wanted to be heroes and fight against a wild beast! ...but in the end it turned out it was just a rabbit... The goat at the end of the Volldampf-Coaster is about a story (and song) about a farmer who uses a train for the first time. He has a goat and as they don't want the goat in the train he just attaches the rope with the goat to the last carriage. He thinks the goat will just walk behind the train, but when the train stops only the head of the goat is left, hanging on the rope... In the case of Volldampf the goat seems to have managed to jump on the train! The ladders you can climb up refer to "Fensterln" (transl.: windowing) This means guys used ladders to get into the room of their girl! If they weren't careful enough they could meet a grumbling father or mother behind the window. In your case, you seem to have knocked at the window of Grandma... and she's very pleased that there still is a "guy" that wants to enter her room!
i think this is a park for families with children up to maybe 14 years old. the rides are not about even higher and faster, but simply about fun, where a young family, with younger children, can experience something together. the park is very lovingly and old-romantic furnished and has its own charm.
It’s definitely a great park for families! There really is something for everyone and as you said, it’s just full of great charm! Great mix of rides and a great place for kids to have smaller rides to start with and grow into rides as they age as well. Just terrific!
Interesting video! Love it! I have never heard if Tripsdrill before! Learned something new today! Well done. It seems find and charming. Like the puppets. Keep on exploring Germany! I am curious about your next video already.
The animatronics mostly spoke swabian dialect...So no wonder you understood railway station...😉 Ich verstehe nur Bahnhof = I understand nothing at all...
It's SO unique! I think that's what made us fall in love with it the most...it really is a park like none we've ever been to before. Just full of fun and charm and some really good rides as well. I think Karacho was def one of the highlights coaster wise for us!
Finally you made it near to my hometown... I was in Tripsdrill back in the 1970s when there only were a few attractions like the spinning wheel and a slide... I remember it as a mill thing (Altweibermühle).. No rollercoasters...
That's amazing! It really is a very special park. I think we will end up back before the season is out because we were totally swept up with its unique charm...and very fun rides too!
Not far away in Welzheimer Wald near to Kaisersbach there is Schwabenpark... Also many old attractions...😂😂 Especially for Kids a lot of fun... It's not far away from the Sommerrodelbahn...
You should have tried Maultaschen (stuffed pasta) mit schwäbischem Kartoffelsalat (potatoe salad with vinegar and oil). Or Gaisburger Marsch (a thick soup with potatoes, Spätzle, some vegetables and stewed Beef). Two of the swabian national dishes...
