fantastic video ask always..ryan is in a class by him self..in a world of complete distruction of evil garbage and humanities path to the gutter..ryan a true alpha male a man of family values and example of what men should be..strong kind moral character...your relationship with your daughter sets another example ..the life lessons learned to pass down to future generations of hunting outdoors knowledge..thank you ryan for who you are... j peterson.billings montana..same life style
"Just wait.." Dalton was so calm during that sequence of events complimenting her shot while he settled in for his shot. Great film! So bright and lush!
Tabatha has the patience of Job. For crying out loud Dalton, tell her how far away the deer is when she asks😂😉. Just kidding, Great job! Great shot Pailey!
I loved this one as I knew I would. Your adventures Ryan are always exciting and educational. Your films are also very entertaining with the quality filming and inclusion of your cool kids. Dalton and Tabitha seem like the perfect team to hang with!
Big high five to you and your daughter and everyone on this trip. What a memory. The lesson of “putting in the hard work, pays off” really comes through in this film. Who can say they had to break out the fishing gear to hunt a deer? Probably can count them on one hand for sure. And to get it in the lip🤷🏽♂️. When the good Lord shined on you he gave you 💯. Love the Northern Hunter guys/gals. Hunting will always bring together the right people to have a great time and learn regardless of the outcome. Great film Kiam!
Great video!! I've been listening to the Northern Hunter podcast, and that is how I landed on your channel. I really enjoy watching and supporting real hunters. The best stories in life come from spending time with family and friends in the outdoors. 3 bucks in 30 minutes and fishing a buck from a lake are memories you'll never forget and stories you'll never stop telling. Keep up the great work, and God bless.
My favorite quote is, it’s not the mountain we conquer, but ourselves…. my whole life I have dreamed of hunting western big game, I met my wife, and she was like, do it, and the last two years I’ve been grinding and tearing up my body. Ugh, I’m not getting younger. Last year I finally saw mule deer and elk, chased the herd across the mountain. It was fun and miserable at the same time, strange how that works. When I was on the mountain, I thought to myself, if I die right here, no one is coming, just keep moving, one step at a time. When I was done, I was so drained, like nothing I’ve experienced. But I can’t wait to go again, I’m going to conquer myself and the mountain, one step at a time, just don’t stop…. Love the videos, stay motivated.
You know how I know Dalton isn't messing around? The thermometer keychain. I've come to expect a thermometer keychain in my Christmas stocking. It comes in handy early morning and afternoon to check thermals and I just like knowing the temperature. If it wasn't for the swimming/fishing lesson, the thermometer keychain would be my favorite part of the film.
Awesome film. Loved the fishing for deer! I bet Ryan will pack a raft in the desert from now on just in case he might need it. Made for a good story and a memory that will last for a long time. Congrats, Ryan, Pailey, and the rest of the crew!
Ha ha ha, I have never seen a black tail get flossed! Thats incredible! Thats one that will be told around many campfires even outside of your group. Great memories. I am excited for round 2!
I can’t wait to take my daughter hunting . I want that feeling in my heart that you dads feel in that hunt idc if I win the sunglasses I’m just happy for you guys
What an epic hunt and a dream hunt I cannot wait for the days when my boys are old enough to start taking on my hunts with me the best memories I have are hunts with my dad it is something you never forget! Great film!!
Love to see the daddy daughter hunts. The black bear hunt with the younger daughter the black tail hunt with the older. Absolutely love the way you introduce your kids to the outdoors. Keep up the good content.
I just love these new videos with your kids! That is really what it is all about. Sometimes is as fathers we get so caught up in what we want to do and forget to be a guide for our kids so that they can learn to love what we love! Thanks ryan love it.
What an epic first episode. Doesn’t get any better than that. Now if someone asks you or Pailey, “Did you catch one?” You can actually tell them with a straight face 😐 Yes, yes I did. A Blacktail Bass 😎🎣🦌 haha 😆 A four for four 🦌🦌🦌🦌 is pretty cool 😎 I look forward to seeing you all fill a second tag 🏷️ and for Chiam to get his first Blacktail ever as well.
What a absolute stunning place to hunt!!!! Great first catch on the rod & reel that night 😂. All great bucks. Congratulations and keep up the hard work. Been loving the films
It was Awesome that Ryan was able to "LEAGLY" catch that blacktail, by the mouth!! GREAT SHOOTINGto all involved . Congratulations to all. Love watching your adventures.
What an encouraging and exciting hunt. It is awesome to see such determination, positivity, and problem solving. I feel like the film shows a true admiration and respect for these wild places and animals we seek. Great film and I look forward to Part II.
For not living in Alaska, you know her temper well. Those blue sky days are seldom and few. And to have shared it with a daughter and good company… you are a blessed man sir.
Everyone who grew up fishing in the NW knew exactly what you needed to snag that buck. And you said it, Buzz Bomb. If you would’ve pulled a Buzz Bomb out of your high lake backcountry tackle pack you would’ve never been able to live that down. You knew it was the right effective and efficient tool for that job too. 😂😂
Super film Ryan. I've never seen someone fish a deer out of a lake, that was friggin awesome, the whole event was crazy as the deer bee-lined straight to the lake! I got to hand it to the ladies though, they took care of business in calm and cool fashion, congrats to you all on the first "meat round", can't wait for episode #2! Whack'em-n-stack'em
So great seeing young people enjoying hunting and the great Alaskan landscape. Good to see these traditions being appreciated! Ryan provides interaction with his daughters that most fathers don't even "get". Patiently awaiting the next episode.
Side hill it instead of side stepping, we side hill it! No talky talk do the walky walk! 😂😂😂 those are the memories that stay with us, father and daughter! Can't wait to do this with my daughter one day!
Float-tail buck!...new species! Man, I never thought I'd see something like that. I'm truly impressed. The hunting was fantastic and fast enough but that anling section was money! Well done!
Great video. And just like you Ryan….although a couple of years older I’m always asked if I dye my beard. And my answer will always be the same. Never. Never. Never…. Can’t wait until I’m back to Alaska! Thank you and Hillary for all you do!!!
Man I love this hunt, my daughter turns 10 this year have already had her on the mountain getting ready! Grandpa's rifle and alot of miles are in her future!!
My oldest is on her mission in Fort Collins. I never took her to Alaska, but my youngest will turn 12 in May so I’ll have to take her to Alaska to fish for Black Tail like you did in this hunt. Great job getting her ready to stay calm and make a great shot. Happy Papa😊
Absolutely the best hunting documentary out there. Your content portrays the hunt (the struggle, the planning and success) so perfectly. I feel like I’m with you. Congrats!!
Great hunt, video quality, and epic story! 2 funny parts for me: "You do this with mom don't ya, the cold stuff?" .. and Tabitha waiting very patiently for Dalton to give that green light, he hardly got the "go ahead" out.. and bam! 😂
My motto has always been "If you don't cast a line, you're not going to get anything" implying to trying no matter what. But, I would have never thought it would be literal for a deer in the water. In the mouth at that too. Haha thats awesome. Great film and beautiful country. Cant wait for part 2.
Exactly the awesome Blacktail action we were expecting. A lot of people say that blacktail is the "crap" deer. That they don't taste good or that they are inferior to Mule or Whitetail. That is far from the truth. I'd have to say that blacktail have one of the most beautiful hides and I'm a sucker for the character of each individual deer. Sitka or Columbian What an adventure with your daughter. Plus a lot of great grass-fed meat. I love the fact your producing your own material and videos. Ryan and Chiam, Great video!
Heck yes! No catch and release for Pailey, but Dad did have to help land the elusive Alpine Blacktailed Trout. Good shooting by the entire crew. That scenery was so impressive. I felt like I was watching some sort of computer generated imagery. Great stuff.
I really enjoyed this video. Kodiak Sitka Blacktail has been a dream of mine since I was a teenager. You guys are making great memories together as a family. Thanks for sharing it with us. Can’t wait for episode 2.
I watch all your episodes multiple times, but this one had me cracking up 🤣 watched it 4x times, everything from fishing for a deer and the conversation on how to climb the hill priceless!!!
Loved watching you on the Gritty movies/podcast and glad to see your own channel and awesome footage! So cool that your daughter came along and appears to love hunting as well. My 10 year old son loves hunting whitetails in Michigan but we live in Arizona now and we want to start mountain hunting, getting prepared and can’t wait! I’ll have to put in some orders and hopefully win that 8k pack, looking forward to part 2!
“FIRST BUCK ON A CAST MASTER!” Had me crying 😂
As soon as Dalton green lights Tabitha, not a second later, bang! Haha, I thought no chance, she flinched…dumped him! Cheers Tabitha, that was sick!
4 People, 4 Bullets, 4 Bucks, 1 episode… Can’t wait to watch the next!!!
😊. Not sure it could’ve gone better! Maybe a cold plunge🤷♂️
fantastic video ask always..ryan is in a class by him self..in a world of complete distruction of evil garbage and humanities path to the gutter..ryan a true alpha male a man of family values and example of what men should be..strong kind moral character...your relationship with your daughter sets another example ..the life lessons learned to pass down to future generations of hunting outdoors knowledge..thank you ryan for who you are... j peterson.billings montana..same life style
Wow thanks Jeff, much appreciated. Montana!🇺🇸
"Just wait.." Dalton was so calm during that sequence of events complimenting her shot while he settled in for his shot.
Great film! So bright and lush!
He’s a call and steady dude for sure
Amazing country. Great video. Cool deer. Thanks
Great film, keep crushing it!
Loved the film, excited for part 2! Here from the northern hunter 👊😎
I think Tabitha's patience has limits.
“Ok go ahead and shoo…boom!😂
Tabatha has the patience of Job. For crying out loud Dalton, tell her how far away the deer is when she asks😂😉. Just kidding, Great job! Great shot Pailey!
Haha no kidding!
I loved this one as I knew I would. Your adventures Ryan are always exciting and educational. Your films are also very entertaining with the quality filming and inclusion of your cool kids. Dalton and Tabitha seem like the perfect team to hang with!
Thanks Phil. They were truly excellent to hunt with out there and we hope to do it again someday
Got to love the fishing hack!!! Buckmaster lol😂
Awesome video Ryan and Chaim! Such a cool hunt👊🏼

Can’t wait for part 2! Selfish 😂 with the micro spikes. 😂😂😂
You can cross fishing for blacktail off your bucket list

Fishing for deer that’s the first! I see everyone using Initial Ascent packs in this video and Dalton has the newest model ✌🏻👍🇺🇸
Love the packs

Great message! Fun and miserable the same time is where you want to be🙌🏻
Definitely never hooked a buck lol. Great work. Love seeing the Alaska videos

What an epic hunt and a dream hunt I cannot wait for the days when my boys are old enough to start taking on my hunts with me the best memories I have are hunts with my dad it is something you never forget! Great film!!
I would have lost money betting that you had your raft for that retrieval. At least it wasn’t a ragging river. Awesome hunt!
Love the Alaska hunts even cooler with your daughter. Can't wait for my daughters first hunting season this yr.
That was an amazing hunt. Looks like you guys got dropped of in a deer hive.
Love to see the daddy daughter hunts. The black bear hunt with the younger daughter the black tail hunt with the older. Absolutely love the way you introduce your kids to the outdoors. Keep up the good content.

Great job on hook line and deer Ryan not going to lie I wanted to see someone go for a swim it looked like it could have been a cold one!!!
That would’ve been 🥶. And it would’ve be on me to do it
For not living in Alaska, you know her temper well. Those blue sky days are seldom and few. And to have shared it with a daughter and good company… you are a blessed man sir.
Thanks, blessed for sure!
Topwater "catching deers" is next level. What an awesome day of hunting and memories made.
I personally like a bait caster for catchin deer but I like your style 🤙
Everyone who grew up fishing in the NW knew exactly what you needed to snag that buck. And you said it, Buzz Bomb. If you would’ve pulled a Buzz Bomb out of your high lake backcountry tackle pack you would’ve never been able to live that down. Missed opportunity to lay the fishing pole in front of the deer for the grip and grin. Nice job:)
Oooof you’re right🤦
Float-tail buck!...new species! Man, I never thought I'd see something like that. I'm truly impressed. The hunting was fantastic and fast enough but that anling section was money! Well done!
At least the random couple will talk some smack in the absence of PEDRO😅
True!😂
Castmasters have always been lucky for me. Never snagged a buck though! Just Kokanee salmon. Beautiful scenery on that one. Thank you.
Thanks 👍
Great video.
And just like you Ryan….although a couple of years older I’m always asked if I dye my beard.
And my answer will always be the same. Never. Never. Never….
Can’t wait until I’m back to Alaska!
Thank you and Hillary for all you do!!!
Thanks for watching! Dyeing the beard will never happen for me. I need that gray for the camo breakup!
Awesome hunt! Cheers,
Just glad you didn’t have to sidestep the side hill while fishing for deer!

Couldn't agree more!
Ugly Stick or someone should be sponsoring this trip. Great hunt and fishing trip. I guess you really can catch a deer. Great shooting and great video
My oldest is on her mission in Fort Collins. I never took her to Alaska, but my youngest will turn 12 in May so I’ll have to take her to Alaska to fish for Black Tail like you did in this hunt. Great job getting her ready to stay calm and make a great shot. Happy Papa😊

Glad you enjoyed
Absolutely the best hunting documentary out there. Your content portrays the hunt (the struggle, the planning and success) so perfectly. I feel like I’m with you. Congrats!!
Thank you🙌🏻
As always beautiful and rugged scenario and great dynamics within the group. Dalton maybe needs to say "wait" a few more times...
Tabitha was not wanting to wait anymore that’s for sure😂
Great hunt, video quality, and epic story! 2 funny parts for me: "You do this with mom don't ya, the cold stuff?" .. and Tabitha waiting very patiently for Dalton to give that green light, he hardly got the "go ahead" out.. and bam! 😂
Glad you enjoyed it! Yeah Tabitha was half squeezed already when he said go😂
Epic adventure! I really enjoyed this film, great work guys.
Got to love the fishing hack!!!

Deer aways bite better in the evening 😊 amazing country.
You got that right!
I can’t believe you fished the deer out of the lake, that was crazy. Can’t wait for pt.2
Keep up the good work👍
More to come! Thanks and yeah thank god for that fishing rod!
My motto has always been "If you don't cast a line, you're not going to get anything" implying to trying no matter what. But, I would have never thought it would be literal for a deer in the water. In the mouth at that too. Haha thats awesome. Great film and beautiful country. Cant wait for part 2.
Well said! Thanks and glad you enjoyed it. Can’t catch if you ain’t fishing!
What beautiful country! Love the father daughter experiences. Gets me excited to do the same with mine! Awesome film!

😂. No kidding! The landscape was unreal
What an awesome hunt. I understood the “sidehilling” comment. Made sense to me 😊. Your daughter is one heck of a shot and hunter. Thanks for sharing
You and her alone😂. Thanks
Awesome! Glad to see this on your own channel 😊
Awesome video guys! P is a killer. Kastmaster can catch anything I am convinced of it.
Loved watching you on the Gritty movies/podcast and glad to see your own channel and awesome footage! So cool that your daughter came along and appears to love hunting as well. Thanks! My daughter’s a rockstar in the mtns and is flat out tough. Really enjoying our hunts together.
Thank you
It wouldn’t live up to a true Lamper’s hunt. If it didn’t have a little unexpected adventure and 4 mature bucks down. Congrats to the crew
Wonderful video, looking forward to next weeks!
