These are the real Kawasaki's, I have a few myself, '75 Z-1B, '76 KZ900 LTD, '77 KZ 1000, need I say more!!! These motorcycles are the very best, yesterday and today!!! Mr. Z-1 Kawasaki Nate, Philly
I owned a 78 ZR1. It was a fantastic bike. People called it the grandfather of the ninjas. Supposedly it was the fastest production bike made that year. I don’t know exactly how fast it was, but it was definitely faster than I was willing to go.

I got me nice 75’ Z1b. I actually think the 75’s are the year to own, all the bugs worked out since it’s first year. But as far as value the first year is worth more to the collectors. If I was to buy one of the two it would the the 73’.

Had the same. It was the first sub 12 second quarter miler.
@@daleversfelt best thing for me is I was able to put my feet flat on the ground. Taller bikes I had to lean.

I was 16 in 1978 and I wanted a Z1-R so bad! Luckily it was out of my income bracket, because I probably would have killed myself on one.
I bought it new when I was 20. 6 years later it was 2 feet shorter and I have never totally recovered after T-boning a left hand turning Buick.
That's Jim Goose's bike.
