- Hungry Golden Retriever Puppies LOF, aged 8 and a half weeks, hopping up and down and barking with impatience to get their meal, being prepared with care, January 2013, Haute-Savoie, France !
Of course, the mother would have loved to share her babies' meal, feeding puppies is exhausting, and she needed to eat a lot and quite often her proper food to recover.
She's a great mum to her puppies, a lovely dog to everybody, and so dear to her owner and me. On t'aime, T... !

When I see a healthy mummy and equally healthy puppies inside the house and running free, I can bet the owner is a responsible owner. Kudos to you!

How are the dogs now? I am seing only 6 instead of 8.
I have seen people Love dogs and Feed their dogs Meat, cant tell if all dog lovers are animals lovers too.
The puppies behave like active young children… very cute!
Its amazing how the mother clearly very hungry, let the pups eat first.

each dog must have his own bowl other wise they will fight and the mom dog must be given a bigger bowl

Oui, nous avons toujours la maman, notre Taïs, que nous chérissons tant pour tous ces moments de bonheur qu'elle nous a donnés, une maman exemplaire avec ses chiots, et une chienne absolument adorable avec tous. Nous avons gardé une de ses filles, Nell, sur cette deuxième et dernière portée.
Taïs vient d'avoir 11 ans, et Nell 6 ans.
Nous avons également une troisième golden retriever et un chat.
Une maison remplie de " quatre pattes " avec lesquels grandissent mes deux petites-filles !

They really are the best dogs, golden retrievers, so smart, lovable and beautiful. They actually smile! How I miss my darling Daphne, dead 6 years now...
They're Our Treasures, aren't they ?
Each and every day with one is a real treat !!!

Oh bless you, all dogs smile. My mum's lovely old Irish collie Princess had the cutest lopsided smile, and her tail never stopped wagging. We loved her to pieces. Once the pain of losing them lessens, you remember them more for the joy they brought to your life.

This is a good example to show people how docile and gentle Golden Retrievers are. This adult mother GR is all perked up over food and this is as about as excited and wild as GRs get. Not much going on other than one hop and some tail wagging during the period of wanting badly to get some food. Their docile nature makes them appear mannerly. Great dogs.
Wish humans could be as caring.

Golden's are obsessed with food. I'm pretty sure the only reason mine lived to 18 despite being riddled with cancer was because she loved food so much that death just wasn't an option. There was always the next meal to live for. She could empty a large bowl full of food in a few seconds.
Wow 18 with cancer, really? That's a long time. I thought lifespan of Golden Retrievers last around 10 years

Yep, and she was put down (was in too much pain and mobility was difficult), so probably would've lived longer. She did have great veterinary care.

Don't worry ... She was really starving when feeding her puppies and had plenty of food too all the time !!! But she wasn't to eat the puppies' !!!
