When I was working at once huge US corporation on the last team I was on there was a woman from a foreign country. She didn't do anything. All her work was pawned off on other team members often by management direction or because it needed to get done so the other team member could complete his work. When the bosses traveled she would usually not even come in to work or only for a hour or two. She made international personal phone calls on the company dime. This was when they were still expensive and done with land lines. Basically she was worse than dead weight. When downsizings happened guess who was never chosen? They had to keep the numbers up so she wasn't going to be fired. Just dead weight to have the numbers to please the grievance industry.

I'm reminded of a conversation I was part of, recently, where this woman in the group was going on about how guys want traditional women but they aren't willing to be traditional guys, like how they want that 50s housewife, but they're living in their mom's basement, and playing video games with cheeto dust in the corners of their mouths. MUSIC...... ....strangely though...many years later, after my Mother having played piano constantly in our home for decades, i wandered in one early summer's evening when i was met by my Mother in her kitchen and heard somebody else playing the piano with great depth and emotion.....i asked who it was playing. Her reaction..."..that's your Father love...he is a terrific pianist and played many instruments". I never knew...when i asked him why he never played, six words left his mouth, floated over to me and i have never forgotten them.. "....because your Mother plays so beautifully". My Mother lost that ability three years ago...and i remembering her saying.."it has devastated me son...but your Father plays for me every now and again...and it's lovely". Honestly, I take no issue being in the masculine role and I'm totally fine with being the one who pays for everything while she stays at home. So it's all fine and well to poke fun at men who are "unrealistic" in what they want from a woman in contrast to what they provide, yet I do the same thing based on a woman's life choices and I'm made the villain of the conversation. When I was working at once huge US corporation on the last team I was on there was a woman from a foreign country. She didn't do anything. All her work was pawned off on other team members often by management direction or because it needed to get done so the other team member could complete his work. When the bosses traveled she would usually not even come in to work or only for a hour or two. She made international personal phone calls on the company dime. This was when they were still expensive and done with land lines. Basically she was worse than dead weight. When downsizings happened guess who was never chosen? They had to keep the numbers up so she wasn't going to be fired. Just dead weight to have the numbers to please the grievance industry.

Honestly, I take no issue being in the masculine role and I'm totally fine with being the one who pays for everything while she stays at home. So a man coming into my life don't have to worry about his wallet cause real independent women don't need a man's finances. Now when it comes to providing i thinks it's natural for women to expect a man to provide because thats how men taught women to think long ago, it's just that some women nowadays seem to have forgotten how to be traditional women although they want a traditional husband! A good portion of women who are independent will not make good wives because our careers demand most of our time and energy so coming home and having to cook, clean, take care of kids, and sex the husband will become a tiresome chore and will cause unhappiness over time! They way i see it, if a man wants a wife who will perform wifely duties, then a traditional stay at home wife is the best way to go in my opinion. But then i hear men complain about having to provide for stay at home wife as well which don't makes sense (unless she's lazy asf) cause men truly can't expect women to be miss independent, miss Susie home maker, a pornstar in the bedroom and a virgin all at the same time...its simply impossible.

The problem is people (both men and women) just have unrealistic expectations from the opposite sex. I think most men who understand if they want a stay at home wife they will have to supplement that. The problem is men don't want a stay at home wife if they are not even going to do the stay at home duties. You can't be a modern woman and expect to get a traditional man or even vice versa. In a time where women are making just as much money as men, do you think it's fair if both parties are making the same wages, (in some cases the woman can be making more) that the man should have to pay for everything? Do you think men should be shamed by being called "cheap" if they don't? The whole dating dynamic is just a hot mess, everybody wants to have their cake and eat it too and putting in the least amount of effort, or so it seems to me.

I love cooking and cleaning for my husband when I can. I call my days off “domestic diva” days. My husband takes care of the things I don’t like to do like taking care of my car. There have been times when my husband has been out of work so I worked extra hours and there have been times when I’ve had to take some time off and he has worked extra for me!
