    I have been riding RE bikes for the past 27 years, I personally feel these bikes can cope with any terrain with ease. In 2019 I rode to Khardung La on my Thunderbird 500 ( still own it), no issues throughout my ride. The only thing that I miss is the THUMP, previously from quite a distance a moving RE bike used to indicate it's arrival....now you reslise it's presence only when it is in front of you.

    Riding through ice and snow is never easy. Doing it on a loaded bike is a whole different challenge. More detail about the modifications you had to make would be super interesting.

    If only this motorcycle had a slight bit of more power, better breathing and better Dynamo, it would be a straight killer.
    I couldn't wait for the 450 Himalayan!
    Still, I'm never selling my BS4.

      There is enough power for offroad adventures. :-) Riding technique is the key. Even on Tarmac it's ok for me. Loving my Himalayan. I'm also owning a Yamaha T700. But on the RE I don't have any fear for any Adventure.

    • @SauvikRoy
      @SauvikRoy ปีที่แล้ว +2

      @@hondaslex No there isn't. Just to break traction, you have to rev it in 1st gear. So, forget anything like little power slides. I saw a guy on TH-cam do it, but it is difficult to pull off for beginners. Rear brake slides can be achieved by disabling the ABS. If you stall the bike while climbing something a little not gentle, you're probably better off rolling downward and trying again.
      The bike is generally forgiving, though it has the potential to scare you if you tried.
      I'm saying this in a nice way, not like the AT.

    Do what vijay parmar taught your team in whiteout - remove the abs sensors , drop the sprocket size to remain in power bandwidth, get knobbies with studds screwed in , get two side skies to take in side abrupt slips , and wear crampons ( elastic size ) on your shoes , and finally get the rider who was called the snow panther by your riders ! Ps _ also get jabez he is full energy ,
