Yeah you’re right I was curious why Blake didn’t wanna believe Scott Shelby was the one that did all these crimes and thought Ethan Mars did it and I don’t get why he didn’t wanna listen
If you make Ethan die by the police in "The old Warehouse" and you safe shaun and reveal who is the killer, in the epilogue in the news show they say that Blake and Leighton Perry they were suspended by killing Ethan
YOU'RE SUSPENDED JAYDEN! THE ORDER'S ON ITS WAY, I HAD YOU PEGGED FROM DAY ONE YOU SONOFABITCH!! You'll have all the time to use your fucking glasses in prison. I hope you're happy norman...
@@filiprazik6860 Don't know if you learned this by now, but if you do the endings where Ethan dies at the end BUT Shaun is saved, the news report will say that Blake and Perry has been suspended. Not the same as fired but still good to see the asshole getting what he deserves.
@@SuperMario0972 agreed unfortunately. They did the same thing with Perkins in Detroit Become Human like why do they have a fetish for making unlikable law enforcement characters that don't get what's coming to them lmao. But with how remakes are suddenly rising up this year, maybe this game will get one eventually and they'll add in a small ending where he gets it lol.
Blake: you'll have all the time in the world to use Ur f##### glasses in prison I hope you'll have fun *3 hours later* They kill Ethan and realises that was the wrong person the end
@NahmanJayden Even Jayden's face there is like "... the fuck?" There's a hobo in there I felt pretty bad for. I bet he got thrown in a cell because he asked Blake for a dollar. :(
By the way, doesn't the cop in the interrogation room actually turn off the camera before the gameplay kicks off in that scene? So you would have to turn it _back on_ in order to get caught?
Probably because that entire police department was insanely incompetent and corrupt so they kinda forgot about his slip up, and if he doesn't die during or directly after the game ends he either quits or is hailed as a hero so they can't fire him
Yes, since, while I was meandering around the camera I never got a prompt to actually turn it off (even though I wanted to), I ended up leaving it on and helping Ethan escape regardless. It was probably just poor positioning on my part, as there were a few other parts, especially as Norman, where I couldn't quite manage to get him at a right angle the first time, and sometimes would have to reposition him mulitiple times to be able to activate something. Hilariously I just didn't even consider actually... you know... trying harder with the camera. So... this is exactly what Blake burst in to say during 'Solving the Puzzle'. Instead of informing Norman that he's off the case and that he can 'ride his files all the way back to Washington'. I think I prefer Norman calling him a unbalanced, psychopathic, asshole, but since that's the scene most people get (provided they didn't kill Jayden during Mad Jack or Fishtank), it was nice to see something different. Did make me wonder what would have happened if the fact that Norman Jayden had helped a potential criminal escape had actually carried into the end game. It wasn't touched on at all in the ending I got, Norman killed the killer, everyone survived otherwise, and Norman was considered a hero, went on the talk-show, kicked his Tripto habit, and... was still working for the FBI. Then again, maybe the FBI pardoned the misconduct, since Norman killed the Origami Killer despite doing something as illegal as freeing a potential criminal/main suspect.
"if the fact that Norman Jayden had helped a potential criminal escape had actually carried into the end game". That seems to be a theme in Heavy Rain. For example Ethan is presented with "an official apology" by the police chief at the end (assuming he survives) even if he escapes from the police when they raid the motel (by jacking a taxi no less; making him guilty of resisting arrest and grand theft auto).
From a practical perspective, you can only have so many endings in a game. They probably figured they were hitting the main thrust of each one. From an in-game perspective, that police department is corrupt as hell, what with the beatings and turning off cameras when it's convenient. Once it comes to light that Ethan wasn't the killer, I think they'd withdraw their complain about Jayden immediately for fear of having a further spotlight on their operations - basically a 'let's call it even' moment.
Stardust Stardust Ethan is likely pardoned because he was only trying to rescue his son; once Shaun is rescued Ethan likely tells the police what he went through in order to save him. Given his actions can be justified given the killer essentially forced him to do the trials (in the police’s eyes anyways) and Ethan was revealed not to be the killer (thanks to both evidence given by Madison and Norman, if they survive, and Shaun’s descriptions of his time in the warehouse) the police likely realized any charges Ethan faced (such as resisting arrest) are also in a way justified since they only hounded him on false accusations anyway.
Why is it that Norman has a funky accent, but he's the only cop who pronounces origami properly?
He's British irl the others where French actors and they couldn't pronounce it right while doing American accents but I guess jayden could

I like how Blake says how Norman got caught, so Norman knows what to avoid next time lol

will jayden still be able to get to the old warehouse even with this altenative opening?
Dan Truong Yes, if he has the necessary clues. Blake’s dialogue doesn’t really change much
Always found it weird that there wasn't an ending where Jayden had to face any consequences for freeing Ethan while the camera was still on.
