Have taken lessons with Chris, both private and his various group Zoom classes. You will learn more than you could imagine and be able to replay the classes as much as needed. The workshops overlap with content a little, but each one has something that makes it worth attending.
I played from 5th grade through my senior year in high school, everything from marching to jazz band. Played on and off for about 18 years after that, with long offs in between (when I was in the Navy); I'm about to be 42. I read somewhere that "if you want to learn, practice. If you want to remember, teach." I took that quote to heart. What I do is I practice a piece, a scale, etc. then I make an instructional video on it. Not only has this method accelerated my comeback playing, I have a tangible record of material that I, and others can look to for help. Channels like this, are an amazing tool to have. Thanks for this.
Thank you for the compliment, @MoDiMariano, and welcome back to trumpet. I'm glad you're sharing what you learn. There is no better way to live than to give. See you soon!
I miss playing my trumpet. I went to the dentist in September and they put a permanent crown on my front tooth and now I can't play as good as i used to so i hatdly play the trumpet anymore. 😔
Don’t feel too lost!! There’s plenty of great music w out trumpet! I hope you can discover music on a different instrument or at least maintain the love for it!
@jambajoby32 I can't play two handed instruments, only one. I've invested 35 years of playing the trumpet, I really don't wanna give it up. I just have to get the crown fixed.
Very nice and informative video, its all about how you feel on the trumpet that determines your age of playing.

I’m sorry about that. It’s a challenge for sure. Dental work can be tough for trumpet players. I hope you recover and comeback better than before!

@@ChrisDavisTrumpet I hope so too. I've been playing for 35 years and I would hate to not be able to play anymore.
