I bought a Shark very similar to this one today and it is very powerful. The brushroll is so much better than my V7 and it has better filter action because of the hepa filter.
Usually when comparing battery capacity, you use mAH or AH (milli Amp Hours). The other thing to consider is the voltage too. Most of these cordless vacuums are 6 Cell Lithium batteries. Each cell is 3.7V discharged or 4.2V fully charged.
@@VacMaster1991 Wait your Dyson V7 was 2100 mAH? LOL WTF I got the V7 Motorhead Orgin and it only came with a 2000 mAH. They screwed me out of 100 mAH lol.
@@VacMaster1991 It's the same 6 Cell Li Ion. It's just surprising that Dyson would have changed their batteries in the middle of production like that. I could see if they took let's say the V8 battery and started slapping them in V7s to cut their parts inventory down. To have 2 different V7 batteries is funny though.
My biggest issue with the Shark is that after about a year the motor head clogged with pet hair and became unusable. I dismantled the entire head - which required special Security Torx bits to remove 30+ screws- before getting access to the drive shaft to remove the hair. The end result is that I went through 2 Shark Pet Pros in under 3 years. I now have a Dyson V8 Animal and the difference in design is dramatic. The serviceability of the Dyson is a huge long term advantage.
I was really excited when I got the Pet Pro vacuum. So lightweight and easy to move, even if it's not the strongest on carpet. Had it less than a year though before it completely died on me. Shark Support told me I would need to replace the entire bottom part of the vacuum where the brushroll is, and pay $90 + shipping for the part. It's an OK vacuum, but Shark doesn't take care of their customers and own up to the fact they sold me a faulty product, so I'll never buy a Shark again.
Honestly. I would bug them until they replace it. Or contact the Better Business Bureau. Just toss that pos. Save up and get a real vacuum like a Dyson.
Ya I Agree with that lady, most big purchases at least have a year warranty on them. I always staple my receipt to the instruction papers in case I need to find them. I’d call shark up again and ask about then policy again
I just purchased the Dyson V8 animal from Costco and is a great upgrade form the Dyson V7 car and boat with better filtration for my allergies and great pickup from my carpets and floors without the use of the full size corded Dyson.
@ I really think I’m going to upgrade to the V15, with 5 cats and a dog plus kids I need a good machine. Sharks pretty good but I’ve heard amazing things about the V15! Thanks!
Has anyone upgraded to a Dyson V15 after owning this Shark? Would you say it was worth it? Or am I better off sticking with this Shark? I must say I’m really impressed with the results of the Shark!
The main reason why I will be upgrading V7 because it doesn’t work well on hard floors plus the attachments are meh 😕. I am considering the V11 Torque Drive or this Shark.
@@VacMaster1991 I’m considering that but the Dyson has the best attachments and customer service but I may wait until the V12 or whatever comes out next. 🤷🏻♂️
I really like that Dyson, but oh my goodness the groom lines with that Shark!!
The socks, love the socks!!! 🧦🧦🧦🧦

Shark 21.6v, 1900mah, 41wh,
Dyson 21.6v 2100mah, 46wh

Interesting they are both pink. Great video ☺
This one will be interesting!! 🤔🧐
Thanks for this great comparison. Difficult to choose between these two vacuums.
Also love the socks though they are not mismatched 😊
Lol. Thanks. I throw all my clothes in a hamper and pick up what's on top😝🤣
Great comparison!!
Thank you!

I do agree with that
This is FUN to watch!! 😂🤣😂🤣

I have V7 which is my fav Dyson vacuum

The V8 is better. Especially on hard floors where the larger gates means it can pick up big dirt better!
whats is better Shark Rocket Pet Pro or ONEPWR BLADE VACUUM
Where did you get the white rugs from?
At home. $10 each🤩
Overall the Shark is the better value in my opinion.
I can agree!
I think The shark rocket pet pro might win
Wow, Shark win?! Here I’ve been seriously considering a Dyson (but v15, not v7) but I’m rethinking my Dyson obsession now..hmmm
@@moonshyne777 the v7 is just ok. V15 is much better

The more I see tests like this the more I think thst even the newer dyson vacuums are not worth the money.
It depends. The Shark is the best value. But high end stick vacs are worth it for large cleaning jobs. Where more power is needed.
Can you do one of those deep clean test on the Powerlifter and Multiclean?
On the list
@@VacMaster1991 Sweet 😊
Ayo where you get the battery packs from.?
Sharks website
Such a helpful video!
The shark looks better. Do you still like Dyson?
Dyson as a company. Yea definitely. Still my favorite vac company

@moonshyne777 the v15 is fantastic. Definitely better than the sharks
Good video, but did anybody else cringe when the sideways socks appeared?
Lol. Sounds like something I would do
@@VacMaster1991 lol, it's the exact video I needed to decide. Go Shark!
Yes. This is why I came to the comment section
Shark is the bomb!
Rice test 🤗
There is no need for the plastic cup. Just tare the plate add the dirt and then reweigh
The plate wobbles to much for a accurate reading
SHARK
I’d go for the dyson. I just love the design and I just want that dyson name and it just seems like Apple like quality
I would go for the V10

Also the Samsung Jet. But yea. The best cordless for the money is actually the Vertex Cordless

Dyson Failure.. Buy the Shark, way better machine..
