An illustrious career indeed. Eloquent, smart and a man of deep values. In the midst of the nepotistic madness , greed and corruption that plagued the Nigerian army, God still honored this man. Truly a good name is better than great riches.

Whos is the disrespectful / uncouth madam in front of the female procession? Taking a phone call, talking to one of the officers and moving too fast that her female group had to call her back. The husband is probably embarrassed for her - poor guy is going to hear it from his fellow service men and women.

When it comes to SHOUTING, the Nigerian Army is number one…If SUPER POWER is earned by shouting, they will be ahead of AMERICA AND RUSSIA, talk less of China. I love watching military parades all over the world. None of them come closer to Nigerian SHOUTNESS..!!!!. I wonder if panadol can relieve the headache caused by all the shouting. I understand… it’s the military tradition… it takes a special person with a special voice to shout like that without getting dizzy.

You are talking about Irabor and being young 😂😂. Are you aware that by the end July BAT will retire 133 Generals within the Army/Airforce and Navy.
Waste of young military officers who have not reached 60years nor served up to 35 years. Their experiences and tax layers money??.

Even Major General Victor Ezugwu, the officer who invented, designed and built the much celebrated anti- mine armored vehicle was not spared in this mindless and wasteful exercise of retirement of young Generals in their most productive age just for reasons that are purely political. The fear of coups don’t seem to be justifiable anymore since coups are no longer in vogue these days of internet and GSM when no one can guarantee to privacy of what goes on in “ve -over-room “. Even where coups happen these days, they are more often than not sponsored by the so called Super powers against which third world countries are powerless. Something should be done to stem the tide of this recurrent economic waste of resources deployed to train our Armed Forces personnel to the levels in which they are regarded as the cremê-de-la-crêmê of their profession. However, one cannot but give glory to God that those affected are going home alive and well. We on behalf of our Dear Country do wish them the best in their future endeavors.
