Great video and thanks for posting! Glad I found this! 🙂
I watered one of my Cebu Blues about an hour ago. And another one just got repotted after I had to put it in perlite to re-root after I caused root rot. In my experience, a Golden Pothos is more forgiving after over-watering than a Cebu Blue. If I over-water a Cebu Blue even one time, the leaves will turn yellow with 24 hours and the roots will rot!

Thanks for the nice words, glad I could help!
Golden Pothos can definitely be more forgiving, but Cebu Blue is not that far either in my experience. What kind of substrate are you using and what are the light conditions? Perlite rooting never really worked for me so I stick with water and/or sphagnum moss most of the time.

@@plantsbutbetter Thanks for your reply! Nice to hear from you.🪴😊So, for the first three 4-inch Cebu Blues I bought, whatever substrate the nursery had it in, I left it, but I was watering them too frequently. It’s one of my favorite types of plants but I am about to give up on them.🤣🤣🤣
As for lighting, I believe it was medium-high light as I kept them in my sitting room on the south-side of my home. That’s why I know it was the watering that killed them, because the leaves yellowed very quickly and the roots definitely rotted. This time, I added pumice and orchard bark to the mix because I don’t trust myself! LOL! The weird thing is, I can hold off watering my ZZ plant and snake plants for 2 months, but I go overboard with watering my tropicals. How weird is that, right? Your Cebu Blue is so pretty and healthy!🪴🪴🪴

It's great that you changed the substrate as most of the time the one that comes with the plant from the nursery is really bad for long-term growth.
And I understand 100%. I used to do the same. It makes sense that the ZZ Plant requires less water because it has thick leaves and stems, but it doesn't seem so obvious that the Epipremnum can tolerate underwatering fairly well. They are tropical plants and they should get lots of water I thought... Took me some time to get used to that 😂😂
Keep me posted on how your Cebu Blue adventure goes, please!

I bought my Cebu Blue for 1,500 pesos (about 25 US dollars) which is expensive for a plant that's endemic to my country. Mine has grown wild. It looks more stunning when allowed to climb wooden planks next to the regular green Epipremnum pinnatum. Their colors pop when grown next to each other. Watching from the Philippines.

First time I got this plant, it was about 40 USD for literally 2 leaves lol! And yes, when you give it support, it can grow like crazy with fairly large and fenestrated leaves.

@@plantsbutbetter Gosh, very expensive. With that amount, you can make a whole village here drunk. LOL

Cebu Blue plants have been all the rave here 🇺🇸 in the last two years. They are still expensive, but have come down a little in price. Some people get lucky and find one at a Walmart (Department store) garden center in the southern states, but I haven’t been that lucky in my area in the Northeast.🤣
When I first learned that Cebu Blue plants are from the Philippine’s, I assumed that everyone in the Philippines had them growing in their yard. LOL!🪴

@@writegirl2937 LOL. I was introduced to Cebu Blue by Amanda of Planterina and when I heard that it's endemic here, I literally made an expedition outdoors but only found the regular green form which I also find beautiful. Cebu Blue probably grows wild just in the jungles of the islands in the southern regions esp. Cebu Island.
