Traveling directly from Pangong Lake to Hanle will save you one day in your Ladakh Road Trip Itinerary and similarly, if you travel from Hanle to Tso Moriri Lake directly then as well you will save another day. Chumur is the last village in India, which borders Tibet.

The route from Pangong Lake to Chusul to Tsaga La to Hanle is a much shorter one about 160 km and takes about 5-6 hrs depending on breaks you take in between. However, Pangong to Hanle via Kaksang La takes about 9 hrs for 210 km and meets the typical Leh - Hanle route near Mahe village. The last route, longest one, from Pangong to Hanle goes via Tangtse - Erath - Harong wetlands and then follows the typical Kaksang La - Horala Pass route.

Dheeraj bhai, we tried to go Ladakh on May 15, 2023. We were not allowed to enter as passes were not open. So we did the Spiti going via Jalori pass.
This time we are planning around Sept 15, 2024. We are traveling from Maharashtra. I know we can not do Zankar, Nubra, Pangong, Hanle, Tso Moriri in 15 days. So, as per your opinion which sections out of above we must visit and which can be skipped ?? I don't want to skip Zankar.

As per another video of yours, last petrol pump will be in Diskit/Tangtse. Does that mean next petrol pump will be in Keylong and nothing else in-between the route of Nubra-Pangong-Hanle-TsoMoriri-Manali?
Now as of May 2024, you will find petrol pumps ar following places in Ladakh
Leh, Karu near Leh,
Diskit in Nubra ,
Tangtse near Pangong Lake,
Nyoma near Hanle and Tso Moriri (Newly operational in 2024)
Then if you exit on Manali Leh highway from Tso Moriri then next petrol pump will be Keylong.
So if you are doing Ladakh circuits as above, you will need to manage about 290 km without petrol pump in case returning to Leh or Karu otherwise if you exit from Tso Moriri to Keylong/Manali then you need to manage about 420 km

May bahut unpredictable rehta hai, September best hota hai aur October middle tak bhi OK hota hai but lakes aur passes par cold ho jaata hai

After reaching Leh, first i will be covering unlingla after that i will cover tso moriri, pangong, nubra valle, turtuk and siacheen base camp. My concern is regarding petrol availability. Can you please guide me, how should i plan my trip accordingly so that i do not run out of fuel. Although i will be carrying around 20-25 liter with me. And if you have any suggestions please guide.
Dost, you should never DO SUCH a plan.. the most logical plan from acclimatization angle is
Rest in Leh for 2 nights -> Nubra -> Pangong -> Hanle -> Umling La -> Tso Moriri -> Sarchu -> Manali

@discoverwithdheeraj me and my husband just came back yesterday from the Ladakh trip and during our trip we went from leh to pangong lake and next day took the chushul route (first you recommend in this video) we want to share that this route is extremely bad as there is construction going on from chushul till Dungti so please avoid it for sometime.

For acclimatization, travel from Shimla side and stay well hydrated.
Hello sir, i m planning to visit during august end or first week of sept it is my first visit n i m plannig to visit by my car which is ertiga petrol. Is ertiga os sutitable for leh and how would be ther weather and road conditions during that period of time.

I will fly to Leh and acclimatize there for 2 days. I plan to do a bike ride from Leh to Ladakh with my wife as a pillion rider. Can you suggest the best route from Pangong to Hanle? Also, can I cover Nubra, Turtuk, Pangong, Hanle, and Tso Moriri if I have 5 days apart from the 2 days of acclimatization? I have moderate bike riding skills. I am asking from both a safety perspective and for a doable route with a pillion ? If I have to skip something what I should skip from itinerary?

The worst road will be between Nubra to Pangong on this route as construction work is going on. So you will need to manage that one

Pillion se kar sakte ho par pillion ke liye uncomfortable hoga ...

Now as of May 2024, you will find petrol pumps ar following places in Ladakh
Leh, Karu near Leh,
Diskit in Nubra ,
Tangtse near Pangong Lake,
Nyoma near Hanle and Tso Moriri (Newly operational in 2024)
Then if you exit on Manali Leh highway from Tso Moriri then next petrol pump will be Keylong.
So if you are doing Ladakh circuits as above, you will need to manage about 290 km without petrol pump in case returning to Leh or Karu otherwise if you exit from Tso Moriri to Keylong/Manali then you need to manage about 420 km

Hey buddy.. well, first I am not sure about traveling to Ladakh specifically with small breed dog. All I can say traveling with pet is as the travel industry is booming in India including Leh Ladakh, more and more hotels are becoming pet-friendly and welcome pets. Hotels in Ladakh even provide food for pets. You can otherwise choose the carry your frozen food. As you will do to yourself, do keep your pets adequately hydrated. Do consult your veterinary doctor for any medicine for motion sickness or high altitude that he would like to prescribe. Finally, make sure you always carry your pet’s vaccination records with you on all your trips.
For the second question, when traveling with females, make sure you are using bathrooms as and when you are leaving hotels, restaurants, monasteries, camp sites, make shift dhabhas, etc.. Only few places like Chumathang, Upshi, Nyoma in the remote routes have toilets but most of them are like dry pits with enclosures. So, always leverage the facilities whereever you get them while leaving source, reaching destination, and sightseeing places.

Hanle to Nyoma via Loma is broken? Which route did you take bhai? In Sept 2023, it was all very good and not heard anything this year too. Did you take regular route or Nidar Village route?
