I'd record myself playing the piano, then I'd eat an orange and then laugh at the orange peel. Good video though chief, you explain things really clearly. Can't wait for more ^_^
I'm a new brewer here and I'm just curious your said something about a tighter seal when talking about corks. I always assumed a seal was a seal that did not leak air at all? Are there different levels that I need to account for?
Hey Sam. I was wondering if you remembered where you bought that bottle washer? On Amazon the only ones I can find seem to be sink attachments that need to hook into the house water instead of just having a resivor like what yours seems to have
@@Chooibah Yes. They should work great to condition most soft polymers such as those cap O-rings. Mineral oil is an excellent option because it is also food safe and many times given orally by the teaspoon for its *ahem* laxative properties. It is also EXTREMELY affordable compared to other culinary safe oils. I also use mineral oil to preserve any sort of carbon steel knives that may or may not come into contact with food, whether it be in the kitchen or while spending weekends outdoors! I hope this helps!
I’m going to use it for recording my local Sunday league football team and trying to promote grassroots football during this difficult time due to covid 19 thank you for the opportunity 😉
Any comment on push corks? I bought a bottle of hawthorn mead a little while ago that was sealed with one of those.... it's convenient as it's around 14-15% so I can keep it for a while.
Either is okay in the primary although sunlight is never a mead's best friend. During the aging process a dark place is preferred, brown glass helps but I put the clear demijohn into the box it came in :) The benefit of clear is that you can see if sunlight is affecting it, the benefit of brown is that less sunlight is affecting it. Hope that helps.
So do you have any recommendations on how much honey to add per litre of water? I assume it's about excitementing to find what you like, but a recommendation to start with would be really helpful
@@shootaman2 Maybe 1.7KG honey per 4.54L Demijohn to get 15%.... but there are so many variables (backsweetening, flavourings, yeast etc.). Join Sam's discord and we can help a bit more :)
This was really informative. Weird, I thought I had already subscribed. I’ve seen like 3 of your TH-cam’s videos before lol. But also if I do win the tripod, I’d film my thoughts on series I love/head canons and theories.
Just discovered your awesome channel. Can't wait to see what's next! Great content and thorough information. Cheers!
Rather fascinating.
If I win, I’ll film the sunset over wychbury. Best sunsets I’ve ever seen.
Thanks for the help Sam :)
Yaasssss more knowledge!!!!!!!
Nice mate
Boom comment done bud, love the tiktok content 😁

My mead is more the color of the stuff in the back on the counter, how do you get it more transparent to?
My bottles have resealable tops.

At some point can you do a video of fruits and how that works? I'm a bit confused about it! Thanks for the great content!

The first thing I would film would be a sunrise over a lake! I hope a win💜
I will use the tripod to film myself as part of a streaming set up
Can we use the kind of bottles that have the corks attached to the bottle with wires? I dunno what they're called 😅
Swing-tops! Ive heard they work well, as long as you dont plan to store them for ling periods of time.
@@DRAWinLINES If reusing then make sure the rubber rings are replaced as they degrade
@@Chooibah right on. I treat the rubber rings with mineral oil if i plan to have the bottles sit empty for any period of time as well.
@@DRAWinLINES Nice! Are food grade oils okay, like rapeseed or olive oil?

are you gonna do a video on the actual stabilization?
I will be yes, that will be part of trailblazers!

What's giving the washer the pressure? That looks a lot easier than what I've been doing :D

If I get a tripod, I'll probably start making TH-cam videos too!
Don't think you can make one with things around the house? Also, they are pretty cheap so..... seems like your making excuses for yourself

Where abouts are you based?
Couldn't you just briefly bake the bottles in the oven to sterilize them?
If i win, I'd record videos for my Geocaching website and Facebook page
I’ll record myself playing football
If I win the Tripod, it would make it easier for me to record videos since I’m a new TH-camr 🥺 also great vid, learned something new ❤️
