they aren't just for kids, they're a medium, a genre. something to be used to tell a story or provide entertainment, not just to be sesame street.
Randy’s puppeteer used to work in a Jim Henson production, so it makes sense.

For being a puppet comedian rather than a ventriloquist, this guy has an impressive amount of content for all being done with just a single character; albeit at a few different stages of his life
Ventriloquist are usually hack comedians than need another string to their bow to be on stage.

Also, I got to do some puppetry once - Trekkie for a production of Avenue Q. So I appreciate how tiring that can be, and I am in awe of the arm strength that show took. And impressed with the sheer expressiveness of the movements. There is so much talent on display, and it is absolutely a delight.

The reason Randy’s my favorite comedian, is because not only does he have amazing jokes, but he can have the range of expression of an animated character due to the puppet and do the funniest stunts I’ve ever seen

There are very few shows that stay firing on all cylinders from start to finish. One of the most perfect shows I’ve experienced. If I’m not laughing, I’m enjoying Randy’s perspective and deep insights.
@@jezebulls randy is amazing at making me laugh very hard, and then out of nowhere making me question everything. the way he integrates comedy and serious topics is absolutely amazing.
(i saw him live since making the first comment and despite his deep insights not being the main focus, he still managed to involve them! the way he kept up the crowd's energy was amazing, everyone was laughing and cheering so loudly for the whole hour. very impressive considering the show was around 30 minutes late.)
i've rambled long enough (sorry for getting off topic) but i hope someone enjoyed reading this :)
@Something Something no problem man. it's really nice to get confirmation from someone that the subtitles made a difference :) hope you enjoy the special
I honestly don't know anyone better for both genius of writing, and expert delivery, and the fact that delivery is done through a puppet only makes it more awe inspiring. Thank you for the content, you've got me through some bad times by bringing a unique sense of humour into our lives.
On top of the pure talent, my sister had the opportunity to meet -Heath- Randy, and he's a lovely bloke!
Opening Song slapped too.
"I don't really feel like myself Where I come from." That hit me like a God damned truck during the Moment House broadcast.
DICEY DICEYYY
I don't know how this special is just now popping up on my feed, but I think I will always adore this purple man and his comedy; I think it's the constant self-reflection and self-deprecation that for whatever reason I find comforting.
