Easy to understand. In you example, there is no change in basic dimension and tolerance for the WCM and RSS. Can you high light the benefits of RSS method over WCM by comparing the two results. So that we can correlate to our real life problems easily. Thank you.
Good question! The RSS method is optimistic while the WCM is pessimistic. Also, the RSS method assumes that each dimension has standard deviation as an equal fraction of its tolerance so that tolerances can be used directly instead of standard deviations.
Hello Sir At 8:54 you have taken square root of SD (A Tolerance) + SD (B Tolerance) At 9:07 you are again calculating Square root of Previous Answer + Square root of (C Tolerance)
Hello Karti, thank you for your interest. For every dimension, you need to add variance. If all tolerances are assumed to have equal Cp, then you can add squared tolerances and take square root.
Sir you have taken square root two times Square root od A AND b Tolerance again calculating square root of c + previous answer i have calculated square root of sd of a tolerance + sd of b tolerance + sd of c tolerance Please check Nominal Tolerance SD=Tol/6 A 25 0.5 0.083333333 B 10 0.2 0.033333333 A+B 35 C 35.25 0.2 0.033333333 GAP=C-(A+B) 0.25 0.9 0.095742711
We are back, my friends. Great lecture.
Very good video for basic understanging. Sir, can you suggest good book for reference for learning Stack up analysis?

good and clear tutorial on this topic - Thank you
Glad to hear that it was helpful! Appreciate your feedback!

At 9:07 you are again calculating Square root of Previous Answer + Square root of (C Tolerance)

Thank you for the video
Welcome!🙏
Sir you have taken square root two times Square root od A AND b Tolerance again calculating square root of c + previous answer
i have calculated square root of sd of a tolerance + sd of b tolerance + sd of c tolerance
Please check
Nominal Tolerance SD=Tol/6
A 25 0.5 0.083333333
B 10 0.2 0.033333333
A+B 35
C 35.25 0.2 0.033333333
GAP=C-(A+B) 0.25 0.9 0.095742711
Thank you. Apologize for the late reply. All the variances ( and tolerances) are perpendicular to each other. So we need to take square root again.
Sir, please remove the flickering of the letters.
Hello professor, appreciate your feedback. I will take a note of it and avoid it in future videos. TH-cam doesn't allow changes in current videos.
