      We all have a story to tell, it's only a matter if people will listen. People judge before they can understand a person.

    In Strausberg, in 1570, if bad people got through the city gates and the city needed to be defended they would call the butchers guild to handle it, your family is part of a great tradition, thanks for preserving and sharing it. God bless

    • @FMAPulse
      @FMAPulse  ปีที่แล้ว +3

      Interesting! That's interesting history from Strausberg. We'll have to research that. Throughout our journey, we've heard many of the top fighters in the Philippines came from a farming background. We've also met a couple in the states that became chefs.

      @@FMAPulse exactly! History of Jochiam Meyer, he wrote a book on sword fighting that was published in 1570, he was a knife maker but the “police” for the town and the local militia were the city’s butchers who had a guild, they policed and even had to go to war against a neighboring prince. People from rural areas are tough and they learn to solve their own problems I just thought it sounded like your family was an example of the same noble idea.

      We agree. We understand why the old school instructors would only teach a selected few back in the day. They want to know that they choose the right person to give the knowledge/skill to. People who would not abuse what the art is meant for.

      We've been fortunate enough to meet instructors who share the same mentality of cross training. Coming from an education background, it all depends on the connection between the student and teacher.

      Some of the FMA Guro/Instructors are claiming to served in the Military just to market their schools especially in the US and Europe, because for the students its hard to confirmed if they are really served in the Military, they call that a "STOLEN VALOR"
