The only time I have seen an example of that sentence in real life is this performance, when Tori turns to the camera as she sings "girrrrlllls". She really channelled something.
She was born to be center stage. I'm 63 and It is hard for me to think of another performer who can match her charisma and stage presence. Maybe James Brown, but with JB it feels performative, with Tori she seems to unleash something that just pours out -- I'm not sure even she herself knows how the expression will release.
She’s an incredible performer. I was fortunate to see her on this tour with the drummer and bassist. Added such depth and soundstage to her incredible piano and singing skills.
Her music is always self-reflective, and in this early period, especially auto-biographical. I've seen her numerous times live, and she's always mesmerizing.
You should really just watch the filmed performances for yourself. Don't wait for requests or you'll miss out because there is 32 years worth of material to deep dive. Songs changed over the years, her style evolves & you can see her make up songs on the spot sometimes. The one about Britney Spears comes to mind, although that's from one of the hundreds of bootlegs. Also, she was on tour in 2022 & 2023. So, it's not too late. She lives to tour.

This woman needs to play only a few notes and you know she is the real deal. Who are Taylor Swift, Beyonce, and all the others? Don't know, don't care.
I saw her in San Francisco at the Palace of Fine arts good seats! She was amazing! I saw Tod Rundgren at the same location great place! Tod was amazing too

This releases the electricity from your body, that man made materials allow to enter into us & clean it out as well as any negative spirits. As she grew, about 2-3 years into touring, she started this as well as sage cleansing backstage before walking on stage. I love her. She saved me from me & im still around @ 61, going strong. I’ve been to EVERY TOUR. My first in KalaMaZoo, MI, the month after her first single got airplay & heavy rotation on MTV. It was just her and a piano. I left in tears & invigoration. Thank You Tori.❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
So glad you reviewed this video - I saw Tori so many times in the 90s in London. This video blew my mind when I saw it. The power and emotion she showed was just awesome. This song shows how pissed she was! Simply epic!
Dereck - There's no indication that she's done touring. Her Ocean to Ocean tour was in '22 and '23. She hasn't lost a step, or a note. She'll come around again soon enough.

I usually cant stand piano but Tori makes me love it.
