Hello everyone, I don't know if I came to the right place. I have HP ProBook 430 G5 2VP86EA Laptop and I forgot it's BIOS Admin password. I contact HP that wish replace the MotherBoard which cost more than new laptop. I understand there is a chip programmer. I disassembled my laptop and took a picture of the chip. From what I understand, the laptop motherboard model is: DA0X8BMB6F0 rev F , and the BIOS chip model is: Gigadevice HH1742 25B127DSIG AP15471 3.3v . Can you tell me how to solve this easily and at low financial cost? Which one supports my chip model including software that supports the chip model and windows 10. Thanks.
Hi If you use this programmer ( RT809F ), you might not find this chip listed in it but this chip is similar to W25Q128JVSIQ and this is not on the list of supported IC either so you can use W25Q128BV instead and it should work. You need a new bios bin file to be flashed and always remember to take a backup of your original bin file!!!
Exellent! but where did you get a new file that you upload in your Bios ?
Most of the times it can be found online, if couldn't find it online then you should Extract it from the manufacturer exe file
thank you
What else can we do with this programmer?
Hi friend thanks for the informative. Is this programmer compatible with windows 10/11 as well?
