    Suppose it may depend when cuttings are taken though I’ve grown successfully without using plastic bag. Have today taken many cuttings from the end of very long woody stems which appear to be dying back because of heat we have had in 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿. Quite different to how I have taken cuttings before so hope this may be successful 🙏

    Great idea to make more plants.

    Thanks, great video. Question: when the 5 cuttings have started rooting & growing, do you break them out to 5 individual plants or plant as one? If the former, what about intertwining roots?

      Once they've formed roots, yes gently tease them apart. I usually loosen the soil and they come apart easily. There may be a little root damage but thats not a problem. Of course the more the can avoid disturbing the roots the better. But a little won't do them any harm.

    Great clarity helped by pictures rather than live action when hands can get in the way. Really good for demystifying how to make a good start at propagation.

    Do you not water the cuttings before you tie them off in the bag?

    • @GreenTipsGarden
      @GreenTipsGarden  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yes, the soil was already moist though. But a good point, I should have made that clear.
