Would you be down to do a “The Basics of” video about brushes? I truly feel like I have no idea what brushes are best for which products-so it would be so helpful to have a video that chats about what brushes are for and has some links to affordable vs luxe and synthetic options!

She has done a "brushes video" but it's quite old. If you look for it in her catalog, you can see that. But I agree!!! I would love her to do an updated one. Or a couple actually!!! She is such a good teacher, she can really break down the lesson so we can apply her knowledge so we better know what to buy and what to reach for. Like doing a make up tutorial but focus more on what brush she is using for each step and explain why THAT brush. Or explain what kind of brushes to reach for specific tests. Everyone always says "using a Sigma E24" well, hell, I dont have that one. What else will get the job done?

I use a green concealer in a pot that is quite creamy, and blend it into the skin so it just evens out the skin tone. Then you aren't layering products over products. If you have a loose setting powder before you put on any liquids on your face apply some of the setting powder to that specific area. Brush off the excess and then your liquids/creams should stick there. Unless it's like a flaky dry patch then exfoliate instead, and wait for it to well not be flaky.

As I get older and my “skin concerns” change and mature, I’m finding that I more and more want to just go au natural on my skin. I still do contour, blush, highlight and glam eyes, just no foundation. For me, spots just seem to be highlighted by trying to hide them. I abandoned foundation years ago and have been a concealer only girl to highlight and manage under eye darkness. Today I dispensed with the concealer too because I’m sick and tired of how badly it all wears and leaves me looking cakey with enhanced pores and lines.
I’ve embraced my skin imperfections because I’ve realised I actually look better that way. And @Alexandra Anele so do you! When you first dabbed on your foundation I felt that was enough….but I know how demoralising spots can be.
Would you consider doing a “no foundation or concealer” glam routine? I just know that you’d still look flawless 😊

Suuuuper helpful video! It's great to see someone with the same type of acne AND skin type (but also I'm sorry you're breaking out lol). Quick question: If I have a couple of these large deep pimples on my chin, it pretty much makes my whole chin red. Would it be better to use a full coverage color corrector or a green primer?

A hack if your concealer doesn’t match your foundation perfectly: I always apply the concealer (on my breakouts specifically) first and then go in with foundation on top. 10/10 recommend

Ice! Ice the breakouts for 5min. This really calms the inflammation and somehow works magically to help promote the healing.
You cover the breakouts so artistically! I need to improve my technique!! I use the IT Cosmetics Bye Bye Breakouts Concealer on those pesky blemishes (it has salicylic acid as well) but I use Elf Camo concealer or the Bare Minerals BarePro stick concealer for under the eyes, etc.
Dr Jarts Cicapair...life changing as far as makeup goes!! At least for me. It pulls double, maybe triple duty! It's green so it color corrects; it's sunscreen (SPF 25 I think). It dries down to your skin color ... so zero gray cast! After serums and moisturizer...I apply Cicapair and let it dry down and melt into my skin for a couple of minutes while I do my brows; apply a little concealer(s) where needed, a bit of blush, and top it all off with Bare Minerals Mineral Veil, and mascara. The perfect "no makeup" make look.
I'm in the medical field so a full face of anything doesn't work well with an N95 mask. But this combo works well for me. But geez..I really need to work on my technique
    Thanks Alex!!

Have you tried the Clé de Peau concealor? It's full coverage but looks like a light coverage and doesn't crease/move - very elegant. It's expensive, but lasts a long time....for me, there's nothing like it.

Oh buddy, those look like they *hurt*!! I feel your pain. I can't leave mine alone when they pop up, because I'm terrible at impulse control.
I just got a whoooollle pallette of colour (like, everything! Even red!!) correctors by Reema off Boxycharm add-ons. I haven't used it yet, but I'll letcha guys know how it is.
