Just to see if it was bullshit or not I clicked on one and the woman is literally standing there naked covering the front of her body with the dresses that she's holding, yet her bare ass is clearly visible in the mirror. While wearing the dress she's not wearing a bra or underwear so everything is perfectly visible and TH-cam is like "this is fine". 🤦‍♂️

Here we are, a little over forty years since George and Andrew first put out Careless Whisper and we have here possibly the most ingenious and incisive examination into that song's own soul.
I like to think that were George still alive, and heard this rendition, he'd be reminded as to how affecting his song remains, and that great songwriting can be transmogrified into truly extraordinary forms in capable hands.
Just think of it, sometime in the early 80s, George jotting down lyrics on bits of paper and making early demos with Andrew, to what it became, to this four decades later. It's pretty chilling, yet enormously beautiful.
    Truly amazing work.

    "Careless Whisper" Lyrics:
    I feel so unsure
    As I take your hand
And lead you to the dance floor
    As the music dies
    Something in your eyes
Calls to mind a silver screen
    And all its sad goodbyes
    I'm never gonna dance again
Guilty feet have got no rhythm
    Though it's easy to pretend
    I know you're not a fool
I should've known better than to cheat a friend
And waste the chance that I'd been given
So I'm never gonna dance again
The way I danced with you
    Time can never mend
The careless whispers of a good friend
    To the heart and mind
    Ignorance is kind
There's no comfort in the truth
    Pain is all you'll find
    I'm never gonna dance again
Guilty feet have got no rhythm
    Though it's easy to pretend
    I know you're not a fool
I should've known better than to cheat a friend
    (Should have known better, yeah)
And waste the chance that I'd been given
So I'm never gonna dance again
The way I danced with you
    Never without your love
Tonight the music seems so loud
I wish that we could lose this crowd
    Maybe it's better this way
We'd hurt each other with the things we want to say
We could have been so good together
We could have lived this dance forever
But now who's gonna dance with me?
    Please stay
And I'm never gonna dance again
Guilty feet have got no rhythm
    Though it's easy to pretend
    I know you're not a fool
I should've known better than to cheat a friend
And waste the chance that I'd been given
So I'm never gonna dance again
The way I danced with you
    Now that you're gone
    Now that you're gone
    Now that you're gone
Was what I did so wrong, so wrong
That you had to leave me alone?

Real(not a low blow) musicians used to go straight off sound and this is what this guys doing,… the greats became greats by thinking outside the sheet music fam. Like”theirs gotta be a way to twang that sound out as I hear it,…. Ah ha,….. maybe if I increase or reduce the amount of tension”,……. That thought that they have right there is what sets em apart.

@@hansoto120 Hi, Yeah Luca is great too. I started with Marcin Patrzalek, my opinion he is best in pecusive style while playing fingerstyle. Luca plays sometimes 2 guitars at the same time - incredible, but Alexander is also a master of fingerstyle and like Marcin plays a bit percusive. I gonna look for the other masters of fingerstyle, any ideas?

Without totally discrediting him, I find that Ed Sheeran is so highly overrated when it comes to his playing the guitar. There are better artists out there. It is impressive, and very cool and expressive, although certainly not even close to a new thing. Banjo players have been doing it for around a century. It is done by using tuners that have the ability to have stops set at certain intervals, which literally stop the tuner from turning at two different points for accuracy and ease. The result is an added level of expression we commonly don't see on guitar, but it still is extremely common in the banjo world.

For one thing, he uses banjo tuners which have stops in them. So it may be difficult but it isn't anywhere near impossible.

    Careless Whisper"
    I feel so unsure
    As I take your hand
And lead you to the dance floor
    As the music dies
    Something in your eyes
Calls to mind a silver screen
    And all its sad goodbyes
    I'm never gonna dance again
Guilty feet have got no rhythm
    Though it's easy to pretend
    I know you're not a fool
I should've known better than to cheat a friend
And waste the chance that I'd been given
So I'm never gonna dance again
The way I danced with you
    Time can never mend
The careless whispers of a good friend
    To the heart and mind
    Ignorance is kind
There's no comfort in the truth
    Pain is all you'll find
    I'm never gonna dance again
Guilty feet have got no rhythm
    Though it's easy to pretend
    I know you're not a fool
I should've known better than to cheat a friend
    (Should have known better, yeah)
And waste the chance that I'd been given
So I'm never gonna dance again
The way I danced with you
    Never without your love
Tonight the music seems so loud
I wish that we could lose this crowd
    Maybe it's better this way
We'd hurt each other with the things we want to say
We could have been so good together
We could have lived this dance forever
But now who's gonna dance with me?
    Please stay
And I'm never gonna dance again
Guilty feet have got no rhythm
    Though it's easy to pretend
    I know you're not a fool
I should've known better than to cheat a friend
And waste the chance that I'd been given
So I'm never gonna dance again
The way I danced with you
    Now that you're gone
    Now that you're gone
    Now that you're gone
Was what I did so wrong, so wrong
That you had to leave me alone?

Dear guitar. I'm sorry. Life is too short to be with someone who doesn't love you right. You deserve better. All these years I've tried but you've never felt what Alexandr's does. But remember even they fight sometimes. Things aren't always this perfect. Besides, he's a star, he has Teardrops, Gibsons and Martins crushing after him. You'd never stand a chance with him. So stay. I beg. But if the beauty you just heard has ceased your peace like it has mine, then I don't blame you... Just leave the lights on and don't bang the door when you leave.

    • @mikehansen7103
      @mikehansen7103 6 ปีที่แล้ว +8

You probably popped a string on an acoustic guitar fitted with a set of 12s tuned to standard tuning. Here's what Alexandr has - "heavy" 14s ( .014 .018 .027 .039 .049 .059) with the guitar tuned 2 frets low - if you look closely you can see that beefy 0.014 high string very clearly. Now when you put the capo on the 4th fret like Alex does it will sound like the second fret. If you keep 14s on your guitar and you tune it to standard tuning you many damage the neck over time - but there should be no problem if you stay two frets low. BTW on an electric guitar you can bend those 0.10 or 0.08 strings to get a very similar "glissando" effect just by doing a slow bend.
