Today I will share the proper way to use the coat king undercoat rake to effectively and safely remove hair from the coat. De-shed your dog in the tub, what you need to know and what tools to achieve this. In this live steam, I will also demonstrate how to stop your dogs from shedding, how to tame the coat on a LabraDoodle-tips and products, using a coat king undercoat rake. Then all you have to do is tune into the weekly live feed and see if your dog was picked to be the demo dog in the “Shear to Chic-Photoshop make over”. Invaluable information for us do it yourselfers. I take my girl to a self serve doggy wash station and take my own shampoos and conditioners. I have a furminator combs and bath mittens w/rubber teeth I'm gonna get that absorber cloth too. Didn't know they had those for dogs. I usually use the supplird bath towels

Have you ever tried show sheen ? Works great it’s for horse tails to detangle smells great too make that coat shine and soft .

Question. What blade size would you recommend for a 4-pound dog? No joke my dog is that small lol. Her fur is short, smooth, and she's a chihuahua.
Hi! How often do you recommend doing this routine? Also, would you recommend daily brushing/weekly baths in addition to try and minimize shedding? I want to make sure I am not hurting my dog's skin!
Mattie Winowitch daily brushing is great for the skin and coat. Only perform this bathing routine no more than every 4 weeks unless your dog gets into something nasty.

What brush(es) would you recommend for a pit bull? My girl sheds sooooo much!
I just ordered this for my english bulldog and it is wonderful. He loves it too:) Boar bristle brushes increase sebum in the skin and polish the coat. If your pit is shedding you MUST bath him, brushing alone will not correct shedding and or dry flaky skin.

would you say to do this once a month?? once every 2 weeks? i give my dog a bath every two days cus she gets dirty a lot but i don’t think i need to be doing the shedding thing every time right?

Hi! I just got and american eskimo and Im little bit scared about the shedding. What step should I change for him? If I do this and i brush him daily I would find less hair around the house? I hope that your night is going well. 🥺
American Eskimo is a a wonderful dog! It is easy to minimize shedding for this breed...do not use a rake or any other undercoat tools. Follow the steps I use to groom a Golden Retriever for the American Eskimo and bath every 4 weeks. This breed is a constant shedder but this method will keep it under control:) Here is a link to the video you should follow. Best wishes!

How often should I be doing the whole routine? Shower and all? And how often should I be brushing between washes to minimize shedding?
1UpPepperMint bathing routine every 4-6 weeks and brushing in between once a week will drastically cut down the shedding and your dogs skin and coat will be much healthier 💕

Wow! You know I just took out a ton of undercoat off my girl, Peaches. I thought the best way to remove the undercoat quickly and easily was to use a wire brush to dogs. But I never thought about removing waist the coat was wet. Peaches is a a wiggly one I I see I need to figure out how to hold her in place while bathing her. I bought a pool/ tub for her and it’s flimsy, but it’s all I could get. Do dogs feel cold water like humans do? I ask this because I can’t pick up Peaches, her’s 3/4 border collie.

Get your dog on a Bathing/brushing schedule every 4-6 weeks and smell and shedding will no longer be a problem:)

A Husky has a double coat. It should never be shaved!

Korina Garcia no it won’t... for a out bull, bath every 6 weeks and brush with a boars bristle brush every week. That is an easy chat to care for but you cannot skip the bathing👏

Emma Jensen what do you mean sweetie? Do you mean how long the deshedding last between grooms? If you did this every 4-6weeks you would see a significant improvement in shedding. What breed of dog do you have?

Emma Jensen ok, definitely deshed in the tub with a brush and conditioner. Then towel as best as possible and completely brush the coat again while wet...then GENTLY with the lay of the coat use the mars coat king to remove dead hair. ✨

Hi sweetie! So sad to hear your dogs are not allowed to share your home:( I can imagine how sad that must make you feel. What is the reason your mom doesn’t want the dogs in the house? Maybe I can give you some advice on keeping the shedding under control if they’re a shedding breed? Does your mom like the dogs? Surely there’s a solution here💕

VaNz_Decay • 27 Years Ago what breed of dogs? If you bathe, brush and de-shed them every 4weeks without missing a groom, your shedding problems will diminish. That’s the only way to keep the shedding down sweetie:)

Tbh you maybe should stop bringing more dogs to your home, dogs are happier when they are around their owners. And if you want so bad to let them be inside, maybe you should do the cleaning everyday. I own a beagle and golden retriever and oh boy, they are heavy shedders, but if i vaccum everyday and brush them at mest 3-4 days a week, the amount of hair you will find is MUCCH MUCH less. I used to have the same problem, my parents agree just because i would promise to keep the floor clean. My dogs are obviusly not allowed to be on my bed or sofas, and they know that. Is all about training. Also a good food diet and excersice will make their stress level and skin problems to dicreasse, so they would shed less. You also should check wich dog breed suits better to your family. Dogs are not happy being outside, they are for sure stress and they will shed MORE. MAYBE next time you should try with poodles, bichon frise or some labradoodle/goldendoodle. Usually curly hair dogs tend to shed less
