    I was unable to do this my last time there. Where it is located in the country just didn't work with my trip. But I definitely want to do it next time!
    There is a mini version of it in Vang Vieng, where you go through the cave in an innertube. Lots of fun!

    Oh my, you're spoiling us rotten with this trip!! The scenery on exiting the cave is mind blowing. That place needs at least a few day to truly do it justice. Whether you would have a finger left after stroking the Hoenbill all day Mario is another matter, 😁😁👍👍

    Cheers for another great video! Watching your reactions really took me back to my very first Kong Lor cave trip amazement :-) That place and the Loop just keeps pulling me back! Last trip in May 2019 I took my Honda Click thtough the cave - 260,000 kip it was absolutely mental onthe boat with bike but all good!! 57km of adventure dust track on the other side through the Natan Valley until the main road. Full of untouched nature, huge trees, stream fords and tiny simple villages ( a couple very basic GH). Hope you get to do it again soon!

      That sounds great, we wished we had driven on the other side, the nature looks great there... we are currently in Thalang so we might go the other way around, but we don't have much time left on our trip. We will definitely have to come back here, it really is a place that you want to return to 🙂 thanks for watching and sharing your experiences!

    Not sure how long will you guys be in Thakhek. Please try to visit Nang Aen Cave (Tham Nang Aen) It's massive cave 15 km east of Thakhek and 1km south off Route 12 along Cave Alley. The spectacular cave, 30 metres high in the central chamber, is named after the legendary orphan Nang Samounta. Guides will tell you the story of her tragic romance with former novice Xieng. You can travel by boat on the underground lake running through the huge cavern.

    I hope those sh*t stalls were allowed to be there just only during the New Year celebration. Several years ago I was lucky to visit the cave when there was only an old woman selling Pho and downstairs all kind of huts prohibited. In the water there were so much big fishes that you could even touch them. Are all of these gone for ever?

    • @TravelsonToast
      @TravelsonToast  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      That sounds like a great experience, it's possible it was only for Lao new year but we don't know. There were some fish by the entrance of the cave that we saw people feeding, it was very busy with locals there that day
