In this DCS World Simulator video Growling Sidewinder and I protecting our base from incoming SEAD strike. Thanks to GS for the help, Hope you guys enjoy!
I love playing simulators, I started with Arma 3 and then I saw DCS World. I also enjoy War Thunder , Battlefield , Ghost recon, Squad , Rome total war, Microsoft Flight Simulator and more. I also enjoy World War II games including il-2 In DCS World i found all the jets that i wanted to fly in a simulator the F 16 Viper , FA 18 Hornet , F 15 Eagle , A 10 Warthawg , SU 27 , Mig 29 , P 51 , Spitfire , AH 64 Apeche , Heuy and more... And if you will download MODs the options are endless: F 22 Raptor, SU 57 , A 4 Skyhawk , SR 71 Blackbird , Rafale, Gripen and the list goes on.

Exactly what the 29 was created for ..... short point blank defence ! But I would take an ET as well as the 77's just for the tanker or to surprise those 16's with a nasty silent shot :) Well done , great vid . If they are very close the vertical scan is a powerful tool instead of looking for them by scanning .
Sadly in real life, the tanker crew would not get out as there are no ejection seats. You would have to fight against the Gs of the spinning plane, pull a jettison handle on the ceiling and then go out through the main entry hatch.
I was going to say, the -135 chutes popped fast. I don't think I've ever seen a -135 crew wear chutes.
@@SVSky Back in the day, we carried 7 chutes and survival kits all of the time. When they were flying combat missions they wore the chutes. We used to wear chutes doing air refueling even further back. They took them off of the airplane for regular use just before I retired in 2005. I believe they deactivated the escape spoiler as well.

@@pastlast158 Weight savings, and wear and tear and to be honest, other than a controlled bailout, your chances of getting out are slim.
In real life tankers would not fly so close to the enemy controlled airspace. MiG-29 wouldn't have enough range to chase enemy tanker.

I've been trying to convince GS to play an Apache vs Ka-50 duel, in an environment with tall buildings, so that there can be peek and shoot. Also, a couple of shorads on each side to make things more interesting. Would you discuss it with him?

Great video Longshot, however I wonder how this would have turned out if you were fighting your clones and they were in the F-16s? I still feel in BVR the F-15 and F-16 have the upper hand on the Mig 29....I have been known to be wrong though...lol

Our fighters have the ability to train in simulaters time and time again! Well before they fly them.
Looks like those F-16's didn't have air cover support while conducting the ground attack or were too focused on the ground attack itself. Perhaps it may have played out differently. That's just my two cents.
Great video and editing as always. It would interesting to do the mission again on the opposite side with air cover support.
No amraam fired at those ranges? Had those pilots just graduated from a cessna 152 and forced into an F16?

They are fighting AI, this was done using the mission editor in DCS.

Those mig29s look so sexy in formation.
İn real life there would be support jets for the ones which are on the SEAD mission. And as soon as they launch the HARM missiles they wouldn't be on high altitude like a sitting duck.

You guys were good until you showed the crew bailing out of the tanker. With the way it was spinning no one would have gotten out. You have to freefall from the crew entry hatch to get out of a 135. Not to mention that it would have shed it's wings on the first roll.
What is the airbase name?
Your objective shows why I put such a high focus on the concept of a High Value Asset escort. One with a range to match the AWACS and Tankers endurance. One of them I designed is called the Northop Grumman F-47 Thundershadow. It got that name because I don't think "Thunderbolt III" would make sense with the A-10 still being in service.
