The director hated the Weasleys. In an interview I saw, he said that Hermione was his favorite character and he really didn't like Ron or the Weasleys. They really didn't try when they were writing the Weasleys. Also Charlie isn't even *IN* the films.

100% agree shes phenominal that is not something actors usually have to do and she nailed it. It almost felt natural to have Hermione's voice unlike other poly juice scenerios.

You said of Lucius, "He was actually willing to kill a child." In that book/movie, he was attempting to murder every muggle-born student at Hogwarts and frame Ginny Weasley for it.

In the movie there were neatly folded robes and ties in house colors next to their beds so maybe they just have to buy the basic tie then they get new ones in the dormitory.

@@WasKE395 Until the 4th year, Voldemort wasn't an immediate threat, so there was no need to discuss the horcrux theory with Harry, who was just a kid. Fifth year, Dumbledore kept himself at bay as he feared Voldemort could get inside Harry's head.

No lie, Voldemort and Dumbledore's duel in the ministry gives me chills everytime. As well as the scene where we flashback in Snapes memory and he finds Lily dead. It's so powerful. ❤
Lauren Otts so Gary oldman, Helena bonham carter, and Jason Isaacs had a beautifully choreographed scene in OotP for their duel and the editors ended up cutting out most of it because their duel was just so much better visually than Ralph fiennes and Michael Gambon’s duel.
@@alannar6189 that's interesting! The duel we do see is still really really well done. Especially the freudian slip Sirius has calling Harry, James. I think that really shows just how much Gary Oldman understood his character. It goes without saying, he and Helena are both exceptional actors 👌

They could’ve used Veritiriusm to question Harry about the Dementors in Fifth Year, also to see if Sirius Black killed Lily and James, if all the Death Eaters were Death Eaters!!
I do agree that a potion like that should have had more uses, however it has been stated that it's not entirely foolproof. Some people can shake it off or resist, or something like that. Just like some people can trick a lie-detector test.

I agree with you but I think when they were questioning Harry they wanted him to be found guilty so they wouldn’t have used verutiserum, Umbridge was framing him by using the dementors.
@@Ellie-wt8ds, yeah that is what the Ministry wanted. I wish Dumbledore pushed for it then but maybe he thought the Ministry would ask him awful questions while Harry was vulnerable. I just think it should’ve been used more throughout the films.

@@smarty_melon Yep. In the movies, the first task is the longest one, and the last task is the shortest one, while in the books it's the opposite. Personally, I'm more annoyed that they didn't show Wronski Feint, Bill and Charlie Weasley _at all_ at Quidditch World Cup. I'm more than happy to replace some of the Triwizard screentime for that.

Also, we're supposed to believe that Barty Crouch Jr is dead until the end of the movie, but instead we see him in the first scene already. I heard that Mike Newell also wanted to burn down the forbidden forest, and thank god he didn't!

There’s a cinema in London that actually does this exact thing, the Prince Charles in Leicester Square - all 8 Harry Potter movies back to back overnight and into the next day. I did it at the end of November and I could barely walk straight afterwards, I was so exhausted because I was determined to not fall asleep even for five minutes. I bawled and sobbed after the last film and then didn’t stop crying until I got home - my dad had to literally put me into my bed and say “get some sleep” because I was a sobbing mess

Wait, why would “the whole point of Azkaban being that it didn’t have walls”? I don’t get it. It’s a prison. Of course it has walls?
no because it doesn’t need them. the prisoners don’t have the power to escape because of the dementors. the dementors make them loose all hope
I don't remember this being explicitly stated in the books either. I think when Hagrid first tells the trio about Azkaban, he phrases his explanation like there are more "imprisoning" things in the wizarding world than mere enchanted walls, thus meaning the Dementors as prison guards -- being imprisoned in your own head, so to speak. But never once did I think that they wouldn't have any actual walls. How do we even have to imagine the prison then? A large field where random prisoners sit next to each other desperately on the lawn wallowing in hopelessness and despair? I also distinctly remember Sirius talking about his cell (and Barty Crouch Jrs as well), or am I imagining things?

@@86upsmaya Yes, I gathered as much, hence my attempt at an explanation/interpretation 😄. It's hinted that it doesn't need them because being captured in one's own head would be worse than any prison cell imaginable. Still, the thought of a wall-less Azkaban has me in stitches for some reason 🤣
I thought this was clickbait because I legit always thought for some reason that it took more than 24 hours to watch them all and who tf can stay up that long or would want to but then when you mentioned it only being like 18 hours I realized I was very wrong and was either factoring in time to eat, sleep go to the bathroom etc or I just can’t math! 😂

I agree it would be nice to go back and revisit the books & movies for the first time again. It would be really fun to revisit them without knowing any theories and backstories and just enjoy them like we did in the beginning. that was really funny, I found myself agreeing with everything you were saying about the films! great job making it all the way through! would you ever consider doing a video comparing the battle of hogwarts and the flaw in the plan chapters to what happens in the film and what they did differently? it seemed like you maybe had more to say on that, but were too tired to talk about it by the time to got to that point in the films. if it's something you're interested in doing, i'd definitely be interested in hearing more of your thoughts on the differences between the books and films. either way, thanks for making so many awesome videos!
