20 years ago I read 14 Scudder books, up to Everybody Dies, I think there's 16 novels. It's a good low key PI series with keen insights into NYC and alcoholism, melancholy for a good reason.

I can’t remember if I ever read Lawrence Block or not. But if they’re nasty crime stories, I’m in.

Has Brian read To Sleep in a Sea of Stars?

Hey Brian! I've been getting more interested in hardcover book collecting and can't seem to find The Forgetting Moon anywhere here in Canada (other than at scalper prices). Is it possible it may get more prints soon? Thanks!

I've read my first Lawrence Block novel this year. Lucky at Cards was okay, but I had issues with it. Maybe this would be better.

Bonus Durfee backstory. Never knew you lived in NYC. We need a bio vid series.

Lawrence Block is one of the greatest. The Scudder series is great. However, I advise avoiding his Keller series, which is uncharacteristically boring.

I loved his Keller series, but it’s not for everyone. I think BLD has mentioned on here that he did not care for it.
