My dear Lord, what have you done. We, mere mortals, can only look at awe at your brilliant rendition. Martin's entry is pure bliss and you've nailed it. Thank you so much.
Cometh the hour - Cometh the man. Stewart steps up to the plate and nails it every time. Looking forward to the day that Stewart uploads extended tutorials on his favourite Tull songs.
I get goosebumps every time I hear this and your version did not fail to induce the same tingles all over! Excellent work! And I love the bonus dissection of the songwriting choices. So cool...
Constantly, I greatly enjoy listening to you play and sing. Your interpretations, to me, keep the "true" Jethro Tull alive, which is no longer here. Respect and greetings. 🍀
Standing ovation, Stu, you have outdone yourself again. Your voice and hands disassemble is outstanding. You can talk as much as you like, I could listen the whole day the Tull ballistics:)
Lord Wood kudos for taking on this most significant pinnacle edit at the end of APP. Similar I most enthusiastically await your potential performace of the final TAAB edit expansion I might call the "Tales of Your Life...". The devil cries MORE!
I always comment to my friends (much to their dismay) that I think the second half of passion play is definitely the high watermark of the progressive rock movement or concept albums in general. It’s really Jethro Tull at the height of their powers. The band is just so tight, and operating in such an incredibly high-level. As ever thank you for the performance and for your insights.
Great video Stewart. Well that’s my homework for this week. It has to be said.. I don’t visit it very often Must try harder. Thank you dear fellow. Most excellent 💥
Beautiful display of interpretation and execution of timeless music. Thanks Stewart.Election year in US. Needed this to calm the waves. You are brilliant.
Thank you very much (as always) for this inspired rendition. This is such a complex piece of music to render just with acoustic guitar and vocals, but you nailed it. "A Passion Play" was not one of my favourite albums when I discovered Jethro Tull back in the late '80s; but it has become one of my top 5 after my mid 30's. Probably you have to be a bit more mature to understand it. Now I like it even more than "Thick as a Brick".
Wonderfully performed once again Stewart! You make me wish I played the guitar. I could listen to this a dozen times daily. I think you've been ready for Madison Square Garden. Now I'm sure of it.
I for one would love to hear Stewarts original music. With his ability to play these complex Tull songs I have no doubt his own music would reflect that. How about it Stewart !
Agreed - JT’s most amazing, beautiful, dramatic composition. Thank you, Stewart - extraordinary rendition. Curious how long you spent perfecting this one?
Thanks Kevin, that is very kind. I worked it out one morning a couple of weeks ago, and then played it through 2-3 times a day: initially playing along with the track to make sure I get the chords, individual parts & timing right, and then on my own so that I can get some of my own "voice" into the rendition. That's basically what I do with all of the songs. Some are harder than others.
Thanks Stewart.I have enjoyed this more than the album to be frank. It’s my least favourite of the Tull catalogue. I have heard Ian being a bit disparaging about it as well. Not in his top shelf Tull, and i always wondered why. Would you say it’s due to the issues you mentioned on the first side? Complexity getting in the way of itself.
Like so many great natural musicians--Frank Sinatra, Paul McCartney, Erroll Garner, Taylor Swift--Ian Anderson doesn't read music. All done by ear and inspiration. Very cool.
Thant gave me chills. This was undoubtedly Ian's greatest composition ever. He has to leave it up to folks like you Stuart to fight and claw for every note because IAN IS AN ELITIST SNOB and WON'T put his music into notation so that the world can play and enjoy this prolific music. How excellent it would be if the local high school, college and symphony orchestra had access to Ian Anderson's music. Shame on you Ian for being so damn selfish. Yes you WERE an enigma performer, in fact , without a doubt, the GREATEST ROCK PERFORMER OF ALL TIME! Please talk to Dee Palmer and get Dee to ask him to relent and put his damn music down on paper. And not some wannabe rendition, but JUST LIKE THE RECORDING. Please Ian, don't leave this world with your music. Share it with the world!
I'm speechless as always when hearing your Tull covers. Bravo!
Thank you Stewart, my favorite part of the album
Hello Stewart, I'm Remy from Tullianos, I hope to see you in July at our Convention. You are the best at doing Tull covers, simply brilliant!!!
Where to get more info on that convention?
My dear Lord, what have you done. We, mere mortals, can only look at awe at your brilliant rendition. Martin's entry is pure bliss and you've nailed it. Thank you so much.
Muy buen trabajo exelente.

Long Live Songs from the Tull. My favourite!😎💙👌Do you still see me even here?
Of all the fabulous renditions you’ve done over the years, this is the zenith for me! Absolutely astounding
Loved it! Certainly one of the toughest Ian songs to sing...
I loved too your gorgeous solo guitar arrangement of 10:8...
I get goosebumps every time I hear this and your version did not fail to induce the same tingles all over! Excellent work! And I love the bonus dissection of the songwriting choices. So cool...
Grateful Stewart for your passion as you play.....!!
Constantly, I greatly enjoy listening to you play and sing. Your interpretations, to me, keep the "true" Jethro Tull alive, which is no longer here. Respect and greetings. 🍀

spectacular
Amazing. My fave JT album.
Just brilliant, you make so much sense in your analysis. Thank you
Fabulous Stuart!!! Such a great piece of music and you’ve nailed it once again! Thank you!!!
Wow
Your guitar playing accentuates Ian's genius
Magus Perde is my favorite Tull song ever, thanks for an awesome rendition!
Always excellent thanks!
Amazing work!! Bravo!
Wow, not a "song" I expected to hear you cover, simply magical.
YOU, are just too much. Unreal. Who else does this stuff?! No one. Amazingly adapted to solo performance no less. 👏🏻
Simply… marvellous!

Brilliant, Stewart. Good luck for Thursday from the Land of Oz. Hope there will be some footage?
Gracias Sr. Wood! Es una interpretación buenísima! 👏👏👏👍👍👍
Wonderfully played! Always impressed by the complexity of Tull in this era.
To work that out and then play it.. very complex music….fantastic
One of your best. And that's saying something!

Wonderful Stewart. One of the greatest albums of JT ❤
Stripped down rhythmic brilliance!
Thank you ….wonderful work and Passion Play ….the best
Handsome and talented ❤
Stewart, thank you as always. You always lift my spirits. Beautiful and insightful. 🙏🏼
Outstanding
Great video Stewart.
Well that’s my homework for this week.
It has to be said.. I don’t visit it very often
Must try harder.
Thank you dear fellow.
Most excellent 💥
very well done
Terrific again Stewart. Really enjoy your breakdowns of the complexity. Those odd measures hurt my brain when trying to play and sing this stuff.
Tull music is so crazy - unlike anything else.
Amazing, as always.
Phenomenally done Stewart! Thanks so much!
Brilliant. I still always play passion play on a long drive , love it.
Many thanks for posting
I love 10:08 to Paddington and i believe to A passion Play is the best album of Jethro....greetings from Chile

His love of Jethro Tull is obvious

Winner 👏👏👏
Thank you so much for this Stewart. Requested for it and you my man you fucking delivered it amazingly. My favorite part from my favorite Tull album.
Another masterpiece rendition. Just curious, do you ever have a bowl of gruel before you begin playing? To get in the mood?
Woe good job!!
APP is Ian's / Tull's finest work IMO and only better part of the album than this probably is The Foot Of Our Stairs
Great
This ginger boy plays and sings very well.
This ginger boy says thank you!
You are incredible. Absolutely incredible. Ever tried writing your own songs? I think you’d be great.
Thank you, you’re very kind. Yes I have songs that I have written, though they don’t sound very Tull-y
I for one would love to hear Stewarts original music.
With his ability to play these complex Tull songs I have no doubt his own music would reflect that.
How about it Stewart !
Thank you. Maybe one day (though my own songs are not that Tull-y, in the main)

Somehow this song is crazy ...
Massively crazy
Isolated moments of brilliance do no a great album make!
