Just finished mine and I an IN LOVE. If you pay close attention you shouldn’t have too many issues. She does change the hood without warning but I watched it all before I started so instead of chaining 36 for the hood I chained 30 and it came out great, could have probably gone down to 25 because the hood is still roomy! I will say for someone who has never done a jacket I kinda had to figure out how to add the sleeves in because she doesn’t go over that part but it’s pretty easy to figure out! Totally worth it, would make it again. Thank you!!
because you did 30 did it look close to what it looked like in the end for her video after she altered the hood, or do you think 25 would be closer to her finish product for the hood??
I love how this tutorial was both super calm and super chaotic at the same time. The kids and the cat are an adorable addition to a great tutorial haha
i started the project making the sleeves then i watched the entire video to find out she changed it which was heartbreaking but it was easy to king of map out the hood that she ended up changing - instead of decreasing, make the top of the hood all square!! (I chained 34 which turns into 32 double crotchet bc of skipping 2 with beginning. Then i went up and down the hood part 6 times and it looks great!) loved the video gave it a thumbs up just wish she gave us a warning at least halfway in the video that she cut her pattern down 💗💗
@@Nekohibi I believe the decrease is so that the hoodie looks pointed at the back and slants down front to be wider, if you don't decrease you do not get that slant. which depending on how you like it, it should not make a big difference.
Love it! Worked up fast, the revisions to the pattern are easy if you understand the basics of shaping. If you dont, it's still a great tutorial to pick up some new troubleshooting skills! I really appreciated the tutorial's realness of family, pets, and crochet chaos! Half the time, I'm distracted as my kids destroy the house, and i end up with something weird. Instead of frogging I can usually fix it but it took a while to build those skills ❤❤
This is stunning. Also thank you for not editing out kitten purrs and little kiddos - it really made this extra cute and calming to listen to - I giggled so hard at "oh we gotta be quiet --- MUMMY"
I made a few changes. I connected the front two panels, added a pocket and fake hoodie strings (ch 12, single crochet for one row) and I made a drug rug style cropped hoodie and it ended up sooo cute, I used a 6.5 hook and I ended up having 5 1/2 skeins left after buying the 18 originally. I made a matching cat ear beanie and leg warmers and I have gotten ENDLESS compliments on all of it! This is an amazing pattern and I just purchased more yarn to make another

1:30 to about 4:50 - makes the sleeves using double crochet
5:00 making front panels, length is from your shoulder to however long you want. Used double crochet as well
At the end of the 4th row: chain off ( hoodie)
She chained 36. The comments say its kinda too long
Continue on, says she would increase by 2 everytime she goes back up (to the end of the hood)
8 rows of hood and stop. Make 1 more
Chain 34, like the front panels' first row. Make 5 rows of DC.
-> no increase?
