Yes I agree, it does have a very pleasing deeper pitched sound profile in stock. I just like removing the foam to hear more of the natural case sound without the foam manipulating the sound profile and also removing the foam actually allows the board to flex properly. hmm, I guess I can try deeper sounding switches with no foam to get more of natural rosewood thock. Might actually try that!
I tried this build today and in my opinion, this build works great with HMX Ziwei. It gives the board a "creamy clack" sound profile (if that's even a thing). I also tried the Canglang V2, but overall the Ziwei works best for me. 100% recommend anyone to try this build out. Thank you for your video. Keep up the good works.
Yes i know what you mean about cream clack. The MU01 is such a versatile board, you can make it sound however you want. I've since put in the SW GHOST Dragons on there and it's super LOUD lol :) I love SwagKeys switches these days!
@@versecurated update, I end up using HMX xinhai remove all foam except for case foam coz i dont like the vibrate if without it, cherry abs BOW keycaps and damnn this switch does sound so good clack...
@@jampolito2 can I hear your build man? this is my first MKB and I prefer the clack too. I watched a lot of youtube videos and everyone kept saying that xinhai is the better option. So I would love to copy your build! thank you!
the clack sounds great but i love how much deeper the stock rosewoods sound

Great video man! is the PCB 1.2mm or 1.6mm? just want to change the stabs to screwins
Thank you! I haven't measured it but it looks like a 1.6mm. My durock v2's worked fine when I tested it.
Recut PE FOAM To correct Size (Factory did a bad job on the cut) - love this part lol. Thanks for this video!
Hopefully this was helpful. luckily I had a lot of the footage already so didn't take long to put together.
