Its really funny how everyone hates FMC but clearly dont find any fault in the ex husband for her poor treatment and the fact the child she gave birth to showed her so much disrespect for just being a normal parent. Its no wonder she left. Id leave this trash too. She was forced to have a child without consent and treated like an outsider afterwards. No one deserves that. Ex is a piece of trash. Anyone who has a mistress when they already have a wife is cheating. Especially if they are treated like a wife when they arent one. Spoiled brat just wanted a mom who spoiled him like the rest of his family and the family wanted this too. They made that bed and now they need to sleep in it.

Bruh the child is spoiled yes but he's 4.....when the hell do you take the opinion of a 4 year old seriously. The fact that she rejects her own child because he's spoiled and doesn't know any better is ridiculous to me. If anything I would have tried to fight for custody for my baby. So I can get him away from his father's influence and try to teach him better morals.

That child was what 4 yrs old I believe. A stage where he is barely starting to understand his emotions beyond basic instincts. He was spoilt yes but wasn't late to teach him right. Atleast she should have put up a fight for him but she did not. I know I would turn the world upside down for my flesh and blood. The very understanding that ur mother did not abandon you or fought for u is a big thing for a child. Parents are there to protect you from yourselves too.
I was a menace when I was young, towards my mom, she never put up with my BS but never gave up as time passed I grew up I matured.
And now that child has gone cold in heart, who might never understand what it means to love the right way. He would be insecure and needy for love rest of his life.

As a mum I do think she could've tried with the little boy. It's clear someone was pouring poison in his little ear against her. I couldn't listen to it all, it just broke my heart. Both kids deserve loving families and structured, caring homes.
Once she could spend time with him as his mother, she could've tried to establish a relationship with him - it's clear from what she says about him 'appearing sad and lonely' when he thinks no one is looking, he regrets what he said and wants to reconnect with her. Saying he's a spoilt brat but doing nothing to change it when she has the chance is cruel.
I think small children are allowed wiggle room. Her ex's family were cruel & vile to her whilst spoiling the little boy and, as I said, probably pouring poison against her into his ear. So it's understandable that, as a small kid with limited understanding of the bigger picture, he could be swayed by that. But, as he got a little older and missed her, he realised he was wrong. So listening to her diss her son, no matter how hard he tried, I dropped it at 18 minutes.

FL won't accept her son's apology, which is kind of too much for me. He was 4 years old, and at that age, he couldn't make any reasonable decisions. 4 years old can't even wear his own clothes. A kid throwing a tantrum is quite common and they need their parent's guidance for this. I can accept that if the son decides to live with his father because he is a teenager. Even if so, why doesn't she respect her kid's choice?
The ML is confusing.... I think it's better to make him so drunk that he accidentally rapes FL. To make him not, that's means he is in love with SFL but is so attracted to FL physically that he decided to rape her??? Coz for me, that he treats her badly and divorces her without any alimony means that he doesn't love her.
I hope these writers stop using "accidental rape" as the plot for MCs to be together. Coz, no matter how the perpetrator looks, rape is still rape. It will give the victim trauma, both mentally and physically. How mean is it to make the victim marry the perpetrator. These writers are setting double standards, since the perpetrator is handsome and rich, FL wants to marry him... What if he is an old dude or an ugly one?

I like that she didn't abandon her son and eventually accepted him back again. I don't blame her for not accepting her son back when they came looking for her because of how he treated her. She couldn't be sure if his feelings were genuine or just a temporary thing and also that she was harmed by them a lot. So her not immediately accepting her son isn't cold blooded if you ask me because healing takes a long time when the emotional scars run deep and have been there for a long time.
Most mothers in these stories just gives up on their children and never accepts them into their lives again just because their young child say that they want the mistress to be their mother. They treat the words of their young child as it would be the same as an adults which is just the mother being a bad mother. I can accept those female leads never wanting to be with their asshole exes again, but to never see their own children over something hurtful they said when they were young is just them being a terrible mothers. But I guess Chinese society is built on not forgiving people that harm you even if they are a young child.

  • @Vinirgham
    @Vinirgham 2 หลายเดือนก่อน +3

For those bashing Julia for abandoning her son, in the epilogue we get to know that Lawrence was sober that night and he graped Julia knowing full well what he was doing. So Julia is an SA victim, and she unfortunately concieved Benjamin whose birth is accompanied by a traumatising grief & loss (of her grandma) and a very painful labour. So in her marriage the only happiness she had was her son who loved her but i think Benjamin was taught to say what he said as other commentors mentioned that Benjamin was just 4 years old when the divorce happened, so emotionally she thought 'my only hope, my son too doesn't love me so there is nothing holding me from leaving this marriage' and she left. Perhaps she should have thought that her son was too young to know better and Ben looking a lot like his father did not help matters and ig she kinda associated him (she can't take Ben with her as other commentors already mentioned power and influence of Jiang family so being in contact with him means still be in reachable distance to her ex and his toxic family) with heatbreak and pain. People make mistakes and in the end Benjamin and Julia reconciled as he was present at her wedding. So yes there was (from what we know of) a 4 year seperation.

Lawrence lost everything cause he was pushing her away instead of accepting his feelings for her and showering her with his love
But he chose to cheat with his ex girlfriend
I like this story and this kind of story where female leads not give second chance
But I like second chance stories too but not those where cheating happened
But sometimes still I felt bad for Lawrence he realised his love for female lead really late and lost her for forever
One thing I liked about him that he never married again after knowing he love FL❤
When you really love someone their is no way you can marry someone or move on and if you can that only means you were never in love

This story really got under my skin. That kid better be like Damien Thorn if you expect us to understand why mum is so cold to him. What actually happened? one day he came home and wanted his dad's mistress to be his mommy, come on now, are we to believe he just thought this up himself \_(-_-)_/. It's probably the mil, cause she kept telling fl how unworthy she is and then after the divorce she's reminding the kid who his mum is, we don't know much else about her but that's truly foul behavior. Also did the ml ever actually like the fl? the kid was the one running after his mum and wanting to be in her life again, dad was just a background character with that one 💛 to 💛 scene being the only instance of him not being vindictive, he's so ew. And dad what the hell was that speech to the kid, dude what !? Also I kinda don't hate the other woman, in fact it feels almost like fl was more the mistress even though she was the wife, her granny was also terrible for using her like that but she didn't make things better after so I struggle to sympathize.
I have *questions* author person, the direction of your story smh

How is the FL the mistress? He was the one ho had s3x with her. And he even admitted he had feelings for her. And if she's the mistress why didn't he marry the other woman after divorce. She left him.

Realistically you can't even change his mind to like you unless you start spoiling him too cus no matter what she says even the child can see she has no worth in the household... Do you really think the child would grow up with correct morals after all that spoiling? She would have suffered eternally if she stayed

I feel bad for Ben. I understand that he said he wanted ex-husbands first love as his mom but he was 4 years old and had a tantrum. I also understand that she would never be able to take Ben away because of how much power ex-husband had but to hate or dislike a child is crazy. He is literally a child begging that his mom loves him.
A child is going to be hurt his whole life because two grown adults couldn’t express their emotions.

A good mom would never leave her child behind because of him “not liking her” ofc he’s gonna be a brat if he’s treated like one, but some kids with that environment are like that. Instead she should’ve taken him with her and “rewired” him. At the end of the day he was just a little boy and she knew that leaving him with his father would turn him more into a brat. Maybe she’s a good mom to the girl, but I feel bad for the little boy.

  • @BlackDragon13th

Tbh realistically I don't it's possible for mothers who loved their children to turn this cold to their children. Though it's also true that he not only disrespected her and hated her, he was like the last straw amongst all the hatred she was already recieving. To top it, no matter how much she had tried to change him, as long as there were people closer to him who influenced him against her, she could never have changed his mind and would eventually have to give up on him anyways. But still that indifference doesn't seem to be possible in reality.

First of all I don't understand why she would do something like that I mean I understand she wanted a new life and to get away from all the drama especially after getting divorced but she did not have to abandon him I mean yes he did hurt her but he's just a child he's not supposed to understand that, kids don't fundamental think like adults do so when she says he's just like his father he's nothing like his father because he's just a child. And then leaving him just to find another child to take in like that's just Petty because now you have the child thinking you abandon him and let's stop and think for a moment as the child grows older that moment will always stay with him and that's going to mess with his mental health because he's always going to think it was his fault for her leaving. I mean I can see pros and cons on both sides of the story like let's be honest here she shouldn't have done that, the situation could have been a whole lot better than what it turned out to be. I mean she got her happily ever ending but the way she got happily ever ending was just cold. Like I'm not trying to be sympathetic for Lawrence but think about the child like for real
