I just watched my first stadium super trucks race. WTF was that! That's absolutely mental! There must be a huge cut out in the seat for the drivers balls to fit in! I subscribed by lap 2 these guys are crazy
I'm watching this again because it's on my SST playlist for damn good reason. By leagues and bounds, this is the most exciting and entertaining form of racing to watch on a screen.
This racing is fucking hilarious. It's almost like there's only vague suggestion of rules, and the rest is kinda up to the drivers. Fantastic racing too
I told a ton of peeps about this series since falling in love with it last year. I doubt I doubled your viewership but I bet a lot of converts came over! 14:30 like some sort of drift exhibition as they're all passing around the guy doing donuts on the middle of the course! Potts truck control under braking, so loose those trucks, powersliding into ramp take offs, wild!
Interesting to google up the truck specs, and racing philosophy. All trucks of the same spec (as opposed to big money wins) to make it a drivers' race, proper racing - like Aussie rules 'football' (organised punch up!).
Gordon always seems to keep his hood on straight. (see what I did there?) 9:55 as one who 'chases cracks' in high strength machine steels for a living--I'm thinking there was already a crack in some part of that axle/diff housing long before this failure, they aren't easy to spot when small and eventually result in total failure like this.
The ramps arent there for points, most of the time its to slow the trucks down. These Super Trucks go so quickly that the long straight they cant slow down without a chicane or a ramp partly through there to help slow them down, they just put them all around to get a little airborne stuff in and to get the trucks speed down.
1. These must be really fun to drive. 2. This is what motorsport should be... fun... unlike some of the Uber serious “premier” classes with overpaid, prima donna drivers.

They need to make big jumps - and hard landings! - continiously without breaking suspension and body, can't do this with stiff setup.
