Muhammad. I am currently working on the design of an electric resistance heater. Process requirements are a delta T from 19 ºC to 24 ºC and flow rate of 210,000 kg/h of (dense phase) ethane at a working pressure is 70.2 bar (with an allowable pressure drop of 0.5 bar) . Also very important critical T of ethane is 30.5 ºC and critical P is 51.4 bar. Two heater designs are being considered, (1) with watt density of 13 W/in2 which results in a maximum sheath temperature of 28.9 ºC (below critical T) and (2) with watt density of 26 W/in2 which results in a maximum expected sheath temperature of 36.1 ºC. Some argue that heater (2) will have problems of phase changes whereas others argue that neither of the two designs have a problem.
Hello sir, thank you for your interesting topic. I want to ask how can we adjust the size of the exchanger based on the given overall width and height of the exchanger. I have done all steps for the simulation from the given temp and pressure, but i am still struggling with the size :((
Hello. How can be added user defined properties if our desired components not in aspen edr database. I couldn't fine any video about that. Some videos are showing it in aspen hysy or aspen plus program. No one shows in directly aspen edr. Could you help about that thank you.
Hi every one I am using EDR 12 to simulate a shell and tube evaporator in which Cuprofin tube ( Inner Grooved Tube) manufactured by Wielnad would be used, but I can not know how I can input the specific parameter of the tube into EDR. Is there anyone to guide me?
Hi, I am designing a heat exchanger. I am getting the length as 6000 and she'll ID around 1000. Hence the area is around 600 m2 which is too large. I need to reduce the ID to get the desired area. EDR suggested increasing no of shells can you tell me how to do it?
Dear Sumaya, the option is available in this software and presented in the video. However, that is converted to .PDF format, but you can convert it from .PDF to .docx file. Thank you.

Hello! Please advise in what program do you make calculations of sheath temperature for electric resistance heater? 🤔

Please give example of two phase at outlet of cold side. Is there any use heat curve which provide by licensor. Please guide. Thank you
Sure. It will be be incorporated in the upcoming videos.

Sir after adding all data, when I press run button, no warning and suggestions is visible. I have copied same data as yours
👍🙂

Kindly consider it in shell in series or in parellel condition which help to reduce the single equipment size.
Have any link for Aspen design download for practice
you can get free access to the aspen If you register yourself on the Swayam app or IIT Bombay swayam portal...........
you must have to enroll in Aspen basic Learning course........
@@NileshKumar-oo1bj I already registered on swayam app .But how to get free access in Aspen plus.please guide me .
@@adnanaslam8928 Hello
@@adnanaslam8928 you got an email around 27th sep. From nptel regarding Aspen course
kindly provide us HTRI crack download for learning purpose also provide guidance for installtion plz !!
How can I copy the TEMA sheet from this program to my doc file ?
