The hang one (it's not a toe) to manual to bar out....... inspirational.... he even impressed himself with the oppo bar out of the slayer....aaaaand he has done it! Or just casually putting some new vans through the paces with a backie to manual, no big, any thorough shoe review would be remiss without at least one of those. Nice kicks, looks like they work, but I'm a five 10 guy.

@@Dude-SmellmyhelmetI've been rocking the "guide tennies" daily since the 90s.... like a lot of things they were WAY better back in the day when they were manufactured in the USA (& only came in fluro green). Stealth is best but full props to vans for supporting the bowl movement for decades.
i had the same issue with the grip falling apart, i contacted vans and they gave me a 75$ gift card and i glued the shoe back so free vans :)
I always forget how amazingly good he is... And then he releases a video full of stuff that leaves me shaking my head

I missed the daily uploads, been a while
Had my pair of bmx for a year, starting to get holes but holding up strong. Highly recommend, it will feel tight and a bit uncomfortable at the toe area but that’s normal they will mold to your feet and once that happens you will love that you chose these over the original vans
You should make us a van update video of the best/worst parts of the life/build

I got a pair of the Scotty Cranmer bmx high tops I have not ridden them as hard as Spenser does but they have held up well and very comfortable. They are high tops so they protect the ankle which is a nice bonus.

Vans ave pros feel like butter. They are my favorites.
I had these shoes and only rode with them for about 5 months before they grew too small/started to wear too much. Still debating buying a new pair. I bought the first ones a bit too small. By far my favorite shoes.
Did they grip well on flat pedals? Are they stiffer than normal vans?

I can confirm, best shoes for bmx.
This is why you buy etnies. I’ve ruined close to a hundred pairs of vans (pro included) over the years, and usually that’s a few month life at very best. My etnies Joslin’s on the other hand...nine months in, and pretty much zero damage. I still like vans, but they are and have always been fashion over function.

Yea my demolition ones had the same thing with the rubber crank arm thing so I took it upon my self and super glued it once they started to peal and they are holding on tight after 3months now

You should go to the Eatonville washington skate park or sprinker skate park in Washington state
I have the Enarsons, pretty great. the only issue I have is the stiff upper material pinches the top of my toe knuckles when I flex the shoe while walking. not a deal-breaker as they are great for my riding. Glad I found your channel. Subbed!
I have the same exact shoes and I’ve been riding them for about 2 months and the side grip is still intact

Berle Pro's are better in my oppinion. They don't hurt my feet as much. I think the sewn in sole is just better quality.
I had a pair of Kevin paraza's and they lasted me 8 months of biking and scooting
I mixed up my Husky Nation sticker pack and made an "I ♡ 4Skin" for my helmet.
That crankarm pad on the shoe..... VANS used to be vulcanized and that wouldve never happened if they still were.

I’ve had the same issue with the Peraza’s and Matthias’ on the crank arm grip thing. Both came loss very quickly. They need to fix that for sure.

I dont know, I had vans for 3/5 years and the first pair I had, they hold super good, I had them for 2 years, was riding every day, every summer I rode every day 20 km. to park and back and they were pretty decent shoes, but after 2 years they were fuc* up, and I decided to buy new pair. Ofcourse, I bought another van, but man they were shit, after week or so, bottom had open a little bit, after year they were not rideable and they weren't completly diferent shoes, they look almost same but I decided after this quit riding vans and try DC, so we'll see which is holding better :D

I came up with the idea to glue a piece of old tire in place "crankarmgripthing" as on your sneakers and in my opinion the efficiency and practicality will be higher than this one

I wore some Vans UltraCush with OneUp alloy mtb pedals and the studs poked all the way thru into my foot lol. Vans rubber cant compare to Five Ten.
I've found leather works best..they tend to have a bit more weight, but you get used to it within minutes..

Spence! You should try the Etnies Jameson mid crank shoe, they’ve lasted me a solid year. I used to go through shoes literally like tic tacs 🍻
