This is a great and very informative interview with a truly insightful and wise man in Christ. One thing - Western Philosophy does not only consider a binary of determinism and freewill. A view called Combatibilism provides a middle ground position and, what I posit, might best fit a Christian metaphysical view of God's will and His gift of freewill to humans. I could be wrong of course, but food for thought! Thank you for sharing this video. Blessings 🌻

Thank you fellows- what a blessing, as always! Your show comes at things from all different, important angles, with all the composite puzzle pieces (all of your shows, i.e.) forming a beautiful, Christian mosaic. This show inspired me to "get on with it," as N.T. put it- not only in reading the Bible more, but in evangelization, apologetics, and being a better model of Christ's love to others!

Can you direct me to the reference Prof. Wright mentioned of the Cambridge scholar who argues for a 60s date or earlier for the Gospel of John? Thanks in advance for your help!

Sapeaking as a Christian, I really enjoy, J.John's videos, but I would like to see him interview Lawrence Krauss or Richard Dawkins.

Grace is not about us climbing up to God but God reaching down to us according to his eternal plan and purpose that we might be reconciled to God to God’s glory alone. This includes the forgiveness of our sins, the fruit of the Spirit in our lives in order to impact this present age for the cause of Christ, to be in the conscious presence of God at rest after death, eventually raised from the dead in a real glorified body like Jesus’ body after His resurrection, and last we will eternally be in the New Heaven and Earth in which God will dwell with the redeemed.

Jesus came to conquer sin and the wages of sin ...death. So we can approach God without a high priest as days of old because Christ has taken the penalty and He is our high priest and mediator.

God did indeed harden Pharaoh's heart, from the beginning. He wasn't simply adding to any existing hardness, as Wright here implies. This is why Paul at Rom 9:19 speaks as an hypothetical Arminian, saying: "why then does God still find fault, for who can resist His will?". Paul wouldn't have posed that question if he was speaking about a hardening of Pharaoh's heart the way Mr Wright is suggesting.
And yes, contrary to what Mr Wright is saying, Romans 9 is largely about predestination. It is about God's sovereignty - that He can do what He wants with what He creates.
