I want a cruise to this island that arrives early in the morning and departs the next day. That way you can also enjoy it at night as well
They did some late night stops earlier this year, but it doesn't look like it is a model they are pursuing.
Totally agree. I'd love a cruise that just took you here and stayed a couple of days. You could have 1-4 ships at a time since there wouldn't be such a rush to get off and back on the ship over an 8 hour stay. Skip Canaveral, Freeport, Nassau, Cozumel, etc., just make Coco Cay the single destination.
I have seen some double stop cruises advertised before, where they stop at coco cay twice on the same sailing. I think I saw them advertised last year but I don't know if they're continuing this in future years.
They are rare, but you can find them. They are some of the first to sell out after they release the deployment schedule.

This was such a thorough and helpful video! Does the purchase of the overwater bungalow also include admission to the waterpark or is that separate?
The Coco Beach cabanas include access to the Coco Beach Club since that is where they are located. The Thrill Cabanas (located inside the waterpark) do include waterpark admission.

Couple questions:
1. I assume cruises that include a stop here are only there for one day. Is that correct or are there cruises that stay for more than one island day? Seems to be some much to do that multiple days could be easily filled.
2. Do the coffee tables include safes?
3. Is the chicken sandwich any good?
I'm waiting for an overnight option for this island. Was there in December and can't wait to go again. I have done other cruises and was wanting to try something different, but this island alone makes me want to book another Royal Caribbean cruise. Again, if they just stayed until like 10pm or did an overnight it would be amazing. It's their own island so hopefully they will be able to do that.
I wonder how much one of those floating cabanas are to rent and for how many hours.

Did anyone experience CocoCay and Castaway through Disney cruise, what are the pros and cons between two of them
We have been on both, and they are very different experiences. There is more luxury and adrenaline on Coco Cay, and there on Castaway Cay it is much more family and kid centric. Both are great options if they are what you are looking for in a private island experience.

It's properly pronounced Key not "k"
For other private islands they often do use the "key" pronunciation. Royal most definitely uses the "Perfect Day at Coco Cay" rhyme.

Danny, I cannot grasp why people would go to an island to experience paved sand and concrete swimming pools. It's waaaay too Disney for me now. You said you were there in 91 on Nordic Empress. We were there, too. And we much prefer the primitive ways back then. I find it odd that people would prefer a pool when the warm, crystal clear ocean is merely yards away.
I wasn't sold until I had a kiddo and went myself. I loved it. I think at every other stop you can find a nice secluded option, but this is really next level. Not for everyone, but I really did love it.
Uh, Disney’s private island doesn’t have concrete pools. They’re blissfully basic. Just the beaches.

Hmmm, great tour, but it all looks so fake to me, I know it’s an amusement park, but it’s just weird that they did this to a beautiful island.
Keep in mind most of these small islands that the cruise lines purchase were just patches of sand. Most of not all of the trees and foliage were all brought in and make the island beautiful.
This is hands down the best tour video of the island that I have seen! BTW we do get it regarding the table safe and the cooler!
But did you notice that the ice chest turns into a table? Also there is a really convenient safe in the coffee table... 😂😂😂

I wonder if RCCL uses their ships that go to Coco Cay as cargo ships to deliver the supplies like food and all that or if they use dedicated cargo carriers.
I'm sure it is a mix of both. With their large dock, it would be really simple to bring in supply ships after the cruise vessels had left for the day.

Wow, I had no idea that it was gonna be so big with all the options! On average how long does a ship stay there? With all the island has they could do an overnight stay. A couple of hours just doesn't seem worth it to me for the price. Excellent video!
I'm sure they are looking at over night options, but at the moment they just have some sailings that stay a couple hours later.
On average it's just one day. No overnight.
I'd love to go to Coco cay with Royal Caribbean as much as I would love to cruise with Disney to Castaway cay
I have done both recently, and think Royal definitely has the upper hand now. Disney is building a new island and it will be interesting to see what they do!!!
This is so crazy I went in 2014 and there was nothing like this it was jus a flat island with some water sports and cool beaches and now look at it I might be going next year hopefully

Wow the overwater bungalow is super interesting in that it actually floats/sways a little and isn't 100% stabilized. Did you find that it moved too much, or was it very little that you didn't notice most of the time? Awesome video by the way, can't wait to be here one day!
I liked the gentle sway personally. I didn't really notice much, but someone who is very sensitive may want to choose the land based cabanas.

CoCo Cay has come a LONNNNNG way! When I went there, it was just an isolated beach with a bar and snorkeling. I’m not sure I’d like it now. The isolated feeling was the best part about it.

Love your channel, best channel on cruise info by far. My oasis of the seas cruise got canceled that May right when covid hit, so now finally going on Symphony with some friends this December. Question, I want to purchase the floating cabana, am I suppose to register the 8 guests when I purchase it? If so, can I add guests up until that day? I ask because its still up in the air what friends are going, and if I purchase it now, I want to be able to add those that book at a later date.
I've never been on a cruise before, but I saw this and definitely want to try one. Especially that hot air balloon!!!

My best advice is treat the camera like a human being, even put an action figure or something on the camera and act like you are talking to it. "Camera Freeze" is real, but overcoming it can actually be quite easy.

Ate the slides and the ziplines included in the cruise price?
They waterpark is an additional fee but all included for that. It is dynamic so price flucuates.
You said you've been on like 100 cruises. Have you ever sailed a cruise to Bermuda where the ship stays for,like 2 over nights? I see these being offered and wondered if it's a good cacation. Being able to stay in bermuda a few says sounds appealing. Wondering if it's exciting there or boring? Some ports I don't like, like San juan. I hated that stop.
I will actually be cruising to Bermuda next September. Super excited!!

People who say coco key drive me nuts... this is not the name of the place even though its the name of the island if the place is called coco cay its coco cay not key!!!
I went there in May 2019 for my 11 birthday as a surprise with my mom and my auntie. It was very fun. And I even saw a TH-camr/ TikToker (Andre Swilley). And at the beach area we saw a stingray. The rides were really fun. It was amazing. I’d definitely go there again when Covid is gone.

With all of our travel, and filming, its pretty rough on the body. That being said, we are rearing to go now!
On my last cruise we were booked to go to Perfect Day but bad weather stopped us. I STILL regret not experiencing Perfect Day. BTW, I LOVE Royal Caribbean Cruises.

It doesn't compare to the beach at Half Moon Cay if beaches are your thing
Coco Cay does a good job of having a lot of separate areas, but the beach at Half Moon Cay is pretty amazing as well.

What is the average price of the floating cabanas and for the other cabanas, are there price differences between the front cabana and the back cabana? I might have to invest in these on my next cruise...whenever that is. Very good video with a lot of detail. I often wondered what the cabanas were like and this was so helpful! Thank you for the video.
We have seen the prices fluctuate a lot depending on the time of year. Keep in mind that the prices of land and floating cabanas have different numbers of included passes to Coco Beach Club. In many cases our guests find its actually cheaper to get a cabana with the included passes than to have each person buy individual entry through the cruise planner.

Maaaan, all I wanted to know was if there were cabanas that had fans that would blow on a couch that I could take a nap on. Not just that though, I also wanted them to have a safe disguised as coffee table so I could put my stash in, and a cooler disguised as a table to put my prepaid booze in. I spent 45 minutes trying to find out if they did, and I never found out.... I mean, WTH ?

Coco Beach Cabanas come with Coco Beach Club access, and Thrill Cabanas come with Thrill Water Park access. Neither of them include both, what is included is all about the location.

Fun thing to do here: go snorkeling near the floating bar bar when the tides out. You can find stingrays and harmless lemon sharks.

Luckily, no floating toilets. We see that as a positive, but some people don't like the fact that there isn't a floating toilet attached.

Great video. I want to go and get a floating cabana. I'm an older adult, will I look ridiculous using that slide off the cabana? Lol cuz that's got my name on it. I wanted to ask is royal Caribbean the only line that goes to coco cay or do other cruise lines dock there too. I've only sailed one cruise before back in 2008 on Carnival Miracle and we went to Grand Turk Margaritaville. Would go back to grand turk of I could.
It is Royal's private island. That slide is more for kids so you might look a little out of place :)
