The circumstances os his death were kind of weird. As far as the media has said, he was nuts. On the other hand I never saw any "strange" treatment toward his family or others during events.

It feels like Valero struggled a lot in his life to get where he was at and he wanted to do more for his family.
Then he got in with the De La Hoya camp and when he turned out to be very strong and started making De La Hoya stupid, they cut his chord short and sent him home.
I believe it was the frustration that Valero could not make it in America as much as he could have because it is not new for great fighters to get screwed up in the boxing business by not getting the fights they deserve and being cornered by contracts which will make them a slave fighter fighting bums and making pennies.
Maybe it was in that frustration that he snapped and murdered his wife accidentally and when he came to his senses he surrendered to the police and killed himself out of that grief.
I heard someone who knew Valero said that he used to fight thinking that his opponent was going to steal the food from his kid's plates.
That shows how desperate mentality he had and his anger did not let him remain patient which ultimately became his downfall.

Valero was very good but he would have a problem fighting against fighters like Marquez Mayweather counter punchers. Valero at times just unloaded punches and got caught a lot with counter shots but he had fast hands power and a big heart.h2 would be a great fighter just not a top 5 p4p
manny ducked valero which is a fact! and manny cannot fight with counter punchers like marquez or floyd, and valero actually has a better defence than the shit defence of manny, manny cannot move his head cannot defend right hands drops his hands reaches with his punches as he punches from out of punching range, has his chin in the air all time, which is why marquez had a field day countering manny which is why floyd iwlll dominate him, and valero, hits harder than manny, had a better chin, and better defence, valero would of most likely put pac to sleep.
