I took my concerns to the customer service department and they proceed to tell me it was supposed to have a 1/8 gap between some of the blades because they warp in the heat treating process. Hmm I peened them straight and shimmed the sickle and knife. Then it cut much better.
You can plumb the Samurai a few ways...1) you can use a 3rd function valve if you have one or 2) use the tilt remotes from the bucket. (our website has further information on the Installation tab on the Sabre Samurai product page.

mine is the same way the whole thing bent I"ve fooled with it a bit it doesnt cut weeds very well but is ok on twiggy stuff.

forgot to ask how did it hold up and do you have a picture of how you shimmed it?
