I've done 24,000 ft with my phantom 4 over water using a simple copper parabolic reflector thing I got off Amazon, my mavic should be shipping soon...
Kevin I just purchase the reflector but still have not been able to see how far I can go before I lose signal. You say you have gone out 24000 ft damn that's amazing

Probably not with a standard, my best with that was around 11,000 ft. using a parabolic reflector on the antenna. This is what I use on my phantom 4. Works great.www.amazon.com/dp/B01DK4JQNE?psc=1
awesome video. what kind of range extender is that? i have the 4 pro and so far went out about 12,100 feet hit some interference at that point and headed back in.

Awesome video, you have got to have some big drone balls to do that. I wouldn't even get near one of those cruise ships with my drone just because of the great electromagnetic field that is present near those big doppler radars and communications equipment on-board. I'm also sure you might be breaking at least one law by flying near the people on board that vessel. Nonetheless, great video! Cheers
