Lisa Eldridge lipsticks are at this point the only lipsticks I even own just for the shades and undertones of her colors and the velvet ( fall / winter ) lucent ( spring / summer ) formulas are my go to formulas from her line, This round of shade releases I got palazzo and Le mepris, my favorite everyday shades from her lines are ( velvet ) Intrigue, fawn and affair, ( lucent ) le mepris, kitten mischief, atomic cherry, I also have cinnabar which I love for fall / winter evening events and now palazzo which I will enjoy for spring summer evening events, I still want to try the lip liners but need to use up my current lip liners first and I still want to get the shade ribbon and try the lip liners, I have herd that her velvet formula has had breakage problems but I myself face only had it happen one time out of the 5 velvet lipsticks I’ve bought so far
Agreed, her lipsticks are hands down the best formula there is on the market! I love all the shades you have. I wanted Le Mepris but it was sold out so I'll grab it on the restock. Is Kitten Mischief a good nude? I usually steer away from bold colors but her formula lasts so long that I think I might pick some more bold ones up 💗💗💗
@@MartinaLily I like kitten mischief as my neutral cool tone summer nude and le mepris as my neutral warm tone true nude for summer … sometimes depending on my makeup that day u do feel I need a lip liner with le mepris just so it shows up a little more to match the rest of my makeup, but I love the shade as a nude on me without washing me out
Velvet Petal was my wedding day color and it was perfect! I had been looking for the right shade for months from TF, Chanel, etc. and then Velvet Petal arrived less than a week before as the clear winner. Very happy surprise.
I'm SO glad you mentioned the colors on the website do not really represent the colors in person. I picked up 3 lipsticks and they were not the colors i thought I had purchased, and also like you, all three of them were dang near the same color. The formula is amazing though! Great video.

Love Je Ne Sais Quoi on you!! So summery and gorgeous. PS since you felt like some of the shades were a little deeper/warmer than you expected, one of my favorite ways to wear them is lightly patted over a nude lip liner (I think you’d love her Fawn liner, because that one with Petal lipstick patted over top is so pretty & totally neutralizes it !!)
And as for lighter shades I do think you NEED Kitten Mischief and also Le Mépris is so pretty with a smoky eye

I think lipstick is one of those things that you have to be comfortable with, personally I think the shades suit you very well so if you’re comfortable wearing it, it does look good!

All but two of my lipsticks are LE. I love them but I’m careful about accidental duping because you’re totally right, the website doesn’t represent them accurately. I think the exposure on Temptalia’s swatch photos is too high too. So I rely on youtube vids lol and sometimes it’s a stab in the dark.
Love the strawberry shock. Puts a smile on my face every time.
I got Rainbow Spill too. Thinking about the Skyscraper Rose. (Rainbow Spill & Strawberry Shock are a tad drying, but clear gloss solves that!)

All the colours look so gorgeous, please get more as I love seeing how they actually look rather than the site pics which are misleading on all make up sites. I've got velvet jazz and cinnebar but like the look of fawn and affair.

I actually think Petal instantly brightened you up, it looked amazing! You probably want to check out Kitten Mischief and Painterly for everyday nude, I have (and adore) Spirited Away, but it might be too deep for your taste from what I gather. I bought a ton of the bright colors because I am a sucker for a bright lipstick. My current favourite is Strawberry Shock. Do me a favor and get Ribbon as well, I promise you will like it 😉.
Oh thank you! I wore Sunday Matinee yesterday when I went shopping and I honestly have never had so many compliments so I think these shades must suit me haha I'll check out those nude shades too. I also think I'm going to pick up Strawberry shock cos they wear so well I feel confident buying more bold shades in her formula 💗💗💗

im not sure if it's about the saturation of the camera or what, but my velvet petal doesnt look like that, it is a soft warm pink, very unique! but it looks very bright pink on your swatch!
Oh really? Maybe its the lights? Cos I don't use any filters or anything. Or potentially its my skin tone changing it slightly. I was expecting it to be more muted haha 💗💗💗

I think Kitten Mischief would be the everyday shade you’re looking for. It is my number 1 fave lipstick and goes with everything! Meet Me In Berlin would be a great option for an “everyday” brown! 🥰

I picked up velvet petal last year and to my surprise it was my most worn lipstick. I am a light medium in complexion. I picked up the IS in the shades Skyscraper rose, Strawberry shock and one other from her original launch. The velvets are still my favourite 🤩
LE customer service is the best, the few times I have contacted them they have been fabulous.
I have to admit these shades have grown on my immensely. I think I was just expecting nudes so took me a minute to adjust haha And I want strawberry shock now too for sure. And yes they are hands down the best customer service I've ever dealt with 💗💗💗

Kitten Mischief is definitely her most universally flattering everyday nude. Can't go wrong with it! Can't wait for August 5th when the new shades of her liquid eyeshadows go live.

Kitten mischief is a beautiful mlbb shade and I have a similar skin tone to you but I think its a very universal shade that would look good on everyone. One of my go to shades for everyday. Love your videos and makeup style. I'm eyeing up some of her brown shades like painterly, looks like a nice everyday browny nude.
Thank you for nice video! I actually bought 4 of Lisa´s lipsticks (and 1 lipgloss) lately, but all in the luxuriously lucent formula (Kitten Mischief, Meet me in Berlin, Je Ne Sais Quoi and Palazzo). These are my first Lisa´s lip products so I stopped myself at 5, although I was attracted also to Petal and lately (after watching some videos) to Sunday Matine. I am really surprised they are so similar. Thank you for that! I am very happy with my purchase. They are a bit expensive, but very wearable. I appreciate it on her brand - even the "crazy" colours look quite OK when they are on. I am very happy with Je Ne sais Quoi, which is exactly as you´ve said - bright but wearable. I have some bright lipsticks, but I need to mix them with others to make them look "natural". Not the case with the Lisa´s lip colours. Kitten Mischief is perfect neutral. Palazzo is beautiful red for my warm olive skin. Meet me in Berlin is one I am little confused with - this is actually a dupe (according to the swatches on hand) for my very beloved but long time discontinued lipstick from Avon (I am very happy that I found a dupe, but the Avon one was much cheaper). I also found out that Je Ne Sais Quoi is almost dupe for my Dior New World shade, which is little bit more pearly in finish). It was my favourite that I discovered in spring so I am not mad about this particular similarity. In general I like her lip products and I will try also another formula.
Yay I was excited to see your video and which shades you went for. Contact Lisa's Customer Service straight away and they will replace them. That formula is most prone to breaking and I think because they are soft they don't travel well. Its pretty warm weather in other parts of the world right now and I'm not sure those lipsticks will be good in an Aussie summer. In her first videos when the Velvet formula was released, she said be careful how far you wind them up to use. My Velvet Intrigue broke just recently from last years launch and they just replaced for me cause I mentioned it when placing the new order. I have Velvet Petal lipstick and liner and same with Fawn & liner already in my collection. I like you bought Sunday Matinee which I also think is close enough to Petal that I didn't need both. I think they look paler online. I also bought the Pink Moon Elevated glow and I bought Luxuriously Lucient shades in Meet me in Berlin (new shade), Dance Card and Painterly. Thats my favourite of her formulas because its sheerer. The Velvets look very bold on me, no matter the colour and I think they might even darken. They certainly stain the lips. I also have her glosses which I love. All three colours look beautiful on you. They do give a bright pop if that's what you're into. Editing at the end - I have Kitten Mischief and on me thats not a nude shade either, probably less bright than your Lucient shade, but I don't think I'd recommend Lisa Eldridge for everyday colours. To me they are special occasion lipsticks. If you want everyday normal shades I'd probably go with the ABH satins which are lovely or try the new Rare beauty. Both are more affordable compared with Lisa's. Lisa's are special, and I'll treat them as such, because I don't want any more breaking. There was a lighter shade of Lucient in the new release but that sold out before I ordered. I think that would have been my pick for an everyday colour.

This was the video that finally did it. I officially placed my first order for her lipsticks. I got fawn, intrigue, and then I got the intrigue and fawn lip liners and then I also got one other one which I can’t remember the name I want to say something affair. There was also a luxuriously loosened that I really wanted but it was out of stock my all-time favorite lipstick is runway royalty from the color to the finish and I pretty much just compared all of her lipsticks to that one LOL and picked anything that looks similar. I’m actually almost done run away royalty it was my purse touch up lipstick for like six months. These all look so beautiful too
Oh, I still wanna try her lipsticks! But not quite there yet, still some other stuff I wanna try first. She got to me though, with „meet me in Berlin“ - I am born and raised there AND it is such a beautiful shade and cool story behind the name 😍 It could almost pass as a neutral everyday shade but depending on skin tone maybe too deep if you are light/light-medium. But gorgeous and I will get it sooner or later 🤩

I bought Velvet Duchess that she recently came out with.... and I fell in love with the formula, hands down the best lipstick formula I've ever worn.. so now I have to get her other ones in the Velvet formula 🤣 I got my eye on a few, Velvet fawn, blush, rain, and muse. I also got my eyes on her eyeshadow palettes ( I already own Sorcery and I freaking love it )

I do find her matte formulas drying, so put lip balm underneath. The shades are stunning, though.
Your order was probably exposed to a lot of heat. Had never had that problem with her lipsticks.
Ohh nice shades! I can see how a lip balm might be needed. I don't find them drying for me but I can totally see how they could be. Yeah it must have been, thankfully her customer service is so impeccable 💗💗💗
I think they all look so lovely on you! I couldn't pick a favorite! I haven't tried anything by Lisa Eldridge yet. It is a brand I would like to try in the future but for now I'm trying to slow down since I've made so many purchases this year and I still have alot in collection I haven't even worn yet. My newest addition is the new Hourglass foundation I have not tried yet and finally picked up the ND Biba palette since I've been experimenting with nuetral looks with pops of color, shimmers and duo/multichromes! Trying to get use of what I have. For now I will have to admire from afar unless there is a really good sale or possibly Black Friday. Your look is so flawless and beautiful! So annoying that they broke! I live in Melb and have Ribbon, Myth, Fawn, Muse, Blush, Blush Lightly, Cinnabar, Petal, Kitten Mischief and Painterly. I haven’t had any break so far, I think I’ve been lucky! Maybe newer batches are having more issues?
My pink soap blush did explode out its backside all over my dressing gown and wall! They gave me a credit for that which I’ve been waiting to use. I was considering Sunday Matinee from this latest launch because i don’t have anything in that formula. Ultimately I decided that it’s not different enough from petal so held off. I’ve also got way too maybe lippies especially considering I went crazy in the Pat McGrath lip sale she had a year or so ago.
Like you, I’ve decided to wait until the eye shadows are restocked and try one of those and maybe a few lipliners to help me use my current lipsticks more effectively.

I ordered 3 times the velvet petal and every time the lipstick broke 😢 it was really sad and annoying. And I just ordered je ne se quoi and it is wobbly too!

I’m about to purchase two lipsticks and I’m between velvet Affair, Velvet Fawn (I’m afraid is going to be too light for me), Velvet Muse and Velvet Sorcery and I’m scared to end up buying the same shade basically 😅 any recommendations? I had the same problem, the lipsticks kept breaking off as they are extremely soft but for a luxurious brand they need to fix that in my opinion 👀

Unfortunately, a good number of people are having trouble with her velvet and insanely saturated lipsticks breaking. I ordered 4 this time, and I refrigerated them for a few hours before even using them. But at this price point, they should not be breaking. At least if you contact customer service, they'll replace them for you!
How crazy is that on your hand they all look pretty similar well the top and the bottom not the middle one but on your lips they all look different. You look
So good in those shades. that’s what I mean by when I say why I feel like online lipsticks swatches are so pointless I mean obviously I would rather have them than not have them but you know what I mean.

Kitten mischief lol I don’t know where I got affair from lol. I Have a feeling that the three colors I purchase are all gonna be pretty similar but I knowingly did that but I would be so frustrated if I thought I was getting like one pinky nude and one peachy nude and one more Beige nude lol. It is so hard to look at the swatches on the models because one I don’t believe that the swatches are real because they look almost the same on every model and two every person has different colored lips and different color undertones and it’s impossible for a lipstick to look the same on different people that’s why I feel like her swatches are very not realistic. In my opinion of course 😜.
